Saw the storm coming on TWC when it was near Wilmington...had a feeling I should be in a basement...the tornado ended up damaging the blocks on either side of us! Wonderful footage!
stormchaser09 i really like your videos and i just love severe weather when it comes have a nice weekend and lets see if there are storms this week keep texting back to me on here
I am waiting for a dercho to rip accross northern Illinois with downburst winds up to 80 to 100 miles per hour. OH one more thing is that this storm merge in to the fast moving squalline North east from here. To many details sorry
My Ham radio storm spotter group tracked that entire storm. We had over 10 spotters most public safety spotting that storm I was running netcontrol from Homewood The emergency vehicle at the end of the clip was one of my spotters who was relaying his reports via the ham radio and police radio. We had to evacuate a large festival in Matteson which it crossed over Ill never forget this day first time in 10 years of being a net controller we tracked multiple tornado in one day.
I live over on the border of Indiana and Illinois, by Hammond and South Chicago. That was my 15th birthday. We were planning on going to the movies but because of the warnings, we aren't allowed until 9:00. Then I got to go for free.! That storm was frightening.
o wow i remember this storm. i was at my baseball game pitching in the bottom of the 4th then all of the sudden there was a HUGE lightning bolt and i looked up and the sky was black then we were all forced to evacuate the field due to lightning and obviously servere weather then we started driving home and the tornado sirens went off and we heard on the weather there was a confirmed tornado...and by the way i live in the western suburbs so this storm came right over us
Ahhh I remember this storm cuz it happened during the Bellmont Stakes and I was trying to watch to see if the horse I bet on won and it kept going out because of the tornado warnings! This is SUCH a cool video tho. What town was this?
this started not far from my house..maybe 10 miles? was watching it from my front porch..had it been any closer i woulda been hiding in my basement :0
gosh what is that loud annoying beep at the begining to middle of the video is that a siren??
JoeFanatic01 9 months ago
Isn't that a tornado siren at 2:46 doing no one any good? It looks like the ones we have around here.
