@0SpyderScope it's a really nice car, especially for your first one. Stock, they're not crazy fast, but with some mods, they can be pretty quick. with i/h/e and a reflash, you can beat stage 2 WRX's. And yes, there are TONS of mods available. It doesn't have tons of torque stock, but you can still have fun with it.

@0SpyderScope its a front wheel drive car 201 hp on the "type s" with a 6 speed manual transmission and leather seats and a bose sound system standard on type s. and you HAVE to get the "type s" the base is for chicks it has a lowsey 150 hp engine, vtec is tuned more for fuel economy and is an automatic or 5 speed with shitty interior seat, no bose sound system and shitty trim on the outside. pick up a type s 02-04 for around 6-7 grand and you'll be happy check out clubrsx.com for more info

just so all of you know all the rsx's HAVE vtec. The type S comes with a 6 speed vs the base model that comes with a 5 speed, also the type s has more horsepower. But ALL RSX's HAVE VTEC!

A 92-95 hatch with a b18c1 will pass the RSX-S, everytime. I have a delsol S, (no ps, no abs, no ac) I have a b16a3 out of a 99-00 civic si with a GSR tranny, 3" SRI and a 2.5" exhaust from the header back. And its literally nose to nose between me and a type-s with I/H/E.

Are you flooring it in 1st gear at first or not to avoid wheel hop/spin? But yeah nice shifting, on mine though you can actually rev past the redline mark, to one bar in the redline before hitting the rev limiter cuz the tach actually reads a little high. Helps on times.

I don't think that your tach is off. The redline is at 7,900rpm, but the rev limiter isn't until 8,100rpm. Unless you have kpro of course. Nice video by the way.

i got to ride in an rsx type S, omg! that thing pins u back in your seat, was truly amazed at how fast that car was for a 4 banger. the engine , along with all the other goodies u get with it like leather seats auto climate control 6 speed shifter and bose stereo...its VERY worth the money!

for those of you leaving comments, can you guys READ? car was NOT launched hard. the type-r with vtec is different from the rsx with i-vtec. the transition is smoother making more useable power thru-out the rev band. also the rsx is NOT a fast car. it is a well balanced car who's home is on a road course and not the strip. if i wanted a fast ugly 4 banger i would have gotten an srt-4. drive one on a road course or auto-x THEN tell me about it's performance

thanks metallicaman. there is a megan AND a mugen. please search before pooping on comments. :) and don't worry, car is about to be upgraded with race header, CAI, IMG, ESMM, stock exhaust (i know, but i can't take the sound, and i'll loose what..?.. 3whp??), intake plenum, and ground wire condensor, new OEM plugs, stainless steel brake lines. i'll post new vids within 2 weeks, and maybe a dyno pull or two!! :) i want a #4 reflash too, but that's out of my budget right now.
