I travel by applying for jobs wherever I want to go. They pay airfare, housing, everything. Then I live there for a year, and actually become part of the community instead of just seeing it.

Hi Ryan, I absolutely agree with the definition of the true meaning of life you have found. My aim in life is to make a difference to people's lives and make people less fortunate than me smile and laugh. I have been to Uganda and am hopefully returning this summer, however sometimes when I was there I found it hard not to cry because I saw so much poverty. Have you found a way with dealing with this? What's probably even harder than finding those awesome places to sit down, like on the rock by the waterfall, is having to put the camera there yourself and walk away from it...maybe you could do with a cameraman! And more cameras...
Yep, I use rocks, trees, signs, whatever as a tripod. The episode after this... in the Himalayas? I actually got to the point where the snow was waist-deep, but there was nowhere I could put the camera without it sinking into the snow and disappearing forever!
