Harold Poole, a fantastic Champion. I've seen him on the cover of the 1960's Muscle Builder and his physique rivals many of the juiced up bodybuilders of today. All NATURAL, and something to shoot for even today. A great overall athlete.
I used to train with Harold back in the 80's, when he visited Diamond's gym in Flushing. We also worked as Bouncers at NYC's Visage. He was also known as Damien Poole
I remember Harold when I was a child and he graced the early bodybuilding mags my father had in the house. Harold`s physique was very chiseled, dense, rock hard and ripped when the bodies of that period mostly had a smoother, bulked up look. Harold was a head of his time back in the day. Superb muscularity for that era.
@chucknchar If you never heard of poole then you haven't been into the sport for a long time. He is still one of the greats and one of the few to beat larry Scott for the Universe.
Harold use to train at my father-in-law's gym in New York back in the day. They still keep in touch and are good friends to this day. He's a great legend.
Harold was one of the greats. Maybe he was too quiet to really get that push, but his physique was probably the best during a 3-5 year span. I believe he also wrestled professionally as "Prince Poole" but unfortunately he didn't get the necessary push from management.
Saw him and had to great pleasure of meeting him today, in the East Village NYC, Still looks great! What an Amazing body, And, Person too.

Poole had the best in upperbody development and great arms. Would have loved to have seen him wrestle.

never heard of him! he does look like a good athlete, i'll bet he would have a knock-out punch in either hand if he had boxed.
