It was hard deciding between a logitech g27 and a fanatec carrera. Then i came up with the problems with each wheel

Fanatec: Belt drive can pop off or wear out quickly.

The regular pedals after 3 weeks will not give full throttle or brake

Force feedback problems or a error code.

Logitech g27

It's only 1 year warranty instead of 2like the fanatecs

It is 100 dollars more then the fanatec

I decided to get a g27 because it seemed more reliable and i really like its build and the way it looks.

That gaming chair was shaking like crazy. Looked like they going to brake it. Looks nice, but appears to be fragile. The tubing should be made of thicker material, but overall looks beautiful for production. Fix the gauge of the tubing and that would be one nice frame for the chair.

wll after selling my GT3 wheel to my mate, i bought the new G27 a couple of months after as i couldnt live without racing anymore. I have to say the g27 is far superior in my opinion. I was shocked how much better it felt than my fanatec. The only thing i would say is i loved the clubsport pedals. My suggestion to u guys is get the g27 with clubsport pedals. Awsome setup! peace

These pedals are used for all wheels in this review but the pedals only work with 911 wheels on the consoles.

This shoot out is really a nice idea.

But it is really hard to make a fair comparison.

Lap times is NOT a good idea.

It will depend on which wheel each of you drive everyday.

Car setup also matches the wheel.

A car setup for ECCI is completely different from a G27, which is also completely different of a setup for a Momo...

Maybe a ranking like the one you use for the sim cars would be better. But, lap times will definitely not be fair...

why do these guys rate damage in pc sims as good or sometimes better than some console sims, it is quite clear that concole sims are better. in the pc sims single parts come off, the frontwing, the rear wing, when in the best console sims, i.e. forza 3, all the parts are seperate, i mean all the tiny parts come off, there are parts hanging, scratches, dents and the like. on pc sims there are no scratches and no dents just each seperate part coming off one by bloody one!

Good comparative review on the wheels. To me it looks like it can be deduced that the DFGT is not as precise as the other 900 degree wheels, which is why it was slower on tarmac, but quicker on dirt/gravel (rally driving requiring a 'freer motion').

What an awesome show, they are slowly convincing me to start iRacing. Wheel shootout is great, but its obvious the ClubSportPedals are the True winner and its why its used on the testing, metal construction, load cell brake and extremely real feel. I think shawn uses the DFGT alot, he is a DFP fanboy, and posted a very critical review of the DFGT way early when it was first introduced.

You've never tried the Thrustmaster Ferrari Universal Challenge 5-in-1 wheel. Once you tried it and gone back to your original wheel you'll have a greater appreciation. That's why, no wheel can put a smile on your face like that. When it's packed away and you bring out your other wheel tell me you won't be thinking about the Ferrari wheel and be smiling.

Makron, I'd go to my G25 not Smiling about your F.U.Challenge 5-1, but laughing about it... I've read the spec list for it and it's simply pathetic. Not only a dated DFP walks over it, even a Logitech Formula Force beats it in pretty much any possible way. There are no redeeming points for a wheel that costs 27 bucks. Try a 900 degree FFB wheel with leather , shifter and 3 pedals - then you'll see that in analogy, you're saying masturbation is better than an threesome with 2 supermodels
