@Suurikurpa lol. I dont care what Iron Maiden or any other band or musician thinks about politics if they like this or that, i dont care and its stupid to care and be interested in their opinion. But mediocre musical skills are rarely to be found in bands like Saxon, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden who have usually very good musical skills, there is a lot of similar examples.

@Serb100Percent You are absolutely right. But especially in the NWOBHM there was alot of bands that wasn't much of a musicians but still made great music. Like Angel witch for example. And around the world in the old days. Motörhead couldn't play for shit until after few years (even i would play every better) but that doesn't mean that they can't make good music. Especially nowadays the technical supremacy is too overrated and that's why some good stuff will never get the attention it deserves.

Phantom of the Opera is a cool song and Di'Anno a decent vocalist. However, it's clear to see how they were still rounding out the line-up and fine tuning to become the legendary monsters that they are today. Bruce Dickinson, Adrian Smith and Nicko McBrain are sorely missing here. Not to put down the venerable talents of Paul Di'Anno, Dennis Stratton and Clive Burr. However, I think we can all agree that Piece of Mind and Powerslave showed the band at its sharpest.

dennis stratton a guy that didnt trust in steve harris dreams,a guy who said iron maiden was a band with not much future,he quit the band ,same as pete willis from def leppard,now look at iron maiden ,swallow your own words ,but dennis was a great guitar player ,and decided to form ,all those unnecessary bands which noone really paid attention during the 80s ,how far did he ever go like that,and to his present days he is seen often playing along with ex judas priest al atkins,whats up with tht?
