  • Now this is Hip hop. MIke Allen Capital Radio 95.8, Friday evenings, he always played this.

  • THIS IS MY TEENAGE AND FIRST YEARS IN THE USA. AND THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY BETTER HIP HOP THAN THIS. LATE80'S AND 90'S. NOTHING BETTER. NEW ENGLAN. BPP PRODUCTIONS HARTFORD CT.

  • This is one of my favorite hip-hop songs, ever. But, there is one thing that has always bugged me: I'm pretty sure the (sampled) lyrics from Run DMC's Jam Master Jammin' are, "HIS cuts so fresh, and our rhymes so fly". Is the song named incorrectly?

  • This was on the up town is kicking it album, where is the version with shan rhyming on it yell

  • 2nd best hip hop producer of all time after Premo. Was true to the old school yet an innovator with sampling techniques, a master of the 808 and ushered in the golden era of hip hop. He's a god as far as I'm concerned.

  • When i hear these old cuts i get stuck, and on a mission to keep finding other classics.

  • I love Youtube............I would've never found this

  • omg...this is a classic right here...he cuts so fresh..

  • i remember this tape i got it from the swap meet.. on the compilation uptowns kickin it the cover was a cat leaning against a car and the street signs were uptowm and some other street

  • Now that's classic!

  • peace to the DJ! HIPHOP 4EVA

  • Man does this bring back memories.Thank you for this.Yes,these young folks don't know nothing bout it...

  • Now this was hip-hop at its best, when you actually had to have TALENT to get a mic handed to you. Where did the time go????

  • @ratesforless the advent of computer software and every corner dope dealer trying to go the easy route in makin money with that rap crap!how many BROTHERS you hear say "I WANT TO BE DJ AND SCRATCH"? today?? zero!! but they be the first to try and be some garbage rapper cuz they got some free REASONS OR CUBASE sofware downloaded to their computer???

  • @ozulu45 But Dj'ing is more popular that ever is it not? The amount of scratch packages and equipment available is staggering compared to when I was a DJ. Nothing wrong with Cubase or Reason either, its the type of music that people choose to make that is the issue. I agree that scratching has no personality nowadays, everyone sounds too similar and they only want to learn the crab to sound like they are technical. Its mainly the old school that have got that sound I like on the scratches.

  • @ratesforless my man tech n9ne took over

  • @ratesforless It's not that damn great lol.

  • @ratesforless It was probably spent creating pro tools, the great satan in the music industry :O

  • That was a badd ass cut!!!!

  • These young cats will never understand...

  • great post

  • A hip hop classic! thank you
