Elf is great but it is a hit and miss brand Im not a fan of the one dollar brushes either but the studio line brushes r great! As well as the blush and bronzer set and the lash curler

You just have to buy good products from them :) it takes me about two weeks to buy from elf (actually every store) and they have loads of online coupons :) a lot of their studio line is pretty awesome!

Omg, im so glad i stumbled upon this video. It really helped me to make a decision, bc i had been wanting to make e.l.f. purchases and today i was gonna go ahead and buy all the brushes. As for the lipstick, you could have just got a lip gloss container and heated the lipstick and mixed it to make it smooth. Then you could have applied it with a lip brush. That is what I do with most of my lipsticks, I take them out of the tube! This is a suggestion before you dropped it on the floor! lol

UK elf must have a different supplier my nude polish isn't clear and I have thar lipstick it's not broke haha I think it's hit and miss but some stuff mainly studio line is really good the brushes from studio are great!

Thanks for the review/haul. I was thinking about checking out their products. It sucks that the lipstick already broke though. Another youtuber I subscriber to has a vid that shows you how to fix it though. You just have to light the end with a lighter, stick it back together & then put it in the freezer.

agreed, the $1 face brushes suck. but the $3 elf studio line face brushes are nice. the only $1 brush i liked were the shader and the blender brush. the other $1 brushes i didnt like at all.

some of their products are pretty good- like the facial whip highlighter, the blotting sheets, the studio blushes, the liquid liners and the beauty books are BOMB!! they may forget an item but i email them and they send it out to me. you gotta do your research before buying to see which ones are good. i get some things from the dollar tree too!

I love birchbox they send you 4 to 5 deluxe samples and sometimes full sizes but they are mostly skincare...... Myprettypinkbox sends you 7 to 9 deluxe samples and one or two full-sizes in every box and they have mostly make up in that box so that is why I have both lol... I'm glad you did this haul

u use the bronzing brush to contour...but yeh elf face brushes the original set are rough...i only recommend the eye brushes BUT ...the ALL studio brushes are very soft tho... i wish u wuda holla'd at me first i wuda told u what to get lol

your should try there lip glosses the super glossy lip shine I have them there really nice =)

Oh for nail polish I think you have to put on coat on let it dry and put another coat its the same with NYC Nail polish then the real color will come out

Email them and tell them about the lipstick you will get a new for free. I did that when I thing broke for me. No problem to get a new one if you send them an picture.

Elf is real good about pleasing their customers....so if you let them know wht happened to your lipstick....thy will replace it! At I think so! I'm pretty sure bc I had something tht happen with one of my products and thy replaced it......so let them knw.

i too read all the great reviews on u tube from my fav guru's and ordered the studio line of brushes, They suck! The first time i washed them they fell apart. I've learned over the years you get what you pay for. I'm a Mac girl all the way! You look great by the way, keep up the good work.

Sorry some of the products didn't live up 2ur expectations. That happens sometimes. I am a repeat customer of elf products. Some of the products are disappointing, nevertheless, the majority I love. Even though it is an economically friendly line, not all of the products are going 2appeal 2 everyone. Just like some of your expensive brands (mac,smashbox,etc) aren't going 2appeal 2everyone. However, I'd rather spend less than more money 2be disappointed.

i think you should contact elf to have them replace the broken lipstick. the lipsticks are great i own about 5 of them and I've had them for over a year and they've never broken on me, so i think you were just unlucky with that one. i'm sure you'll love them too :)

i ordered some ELF stuff a few weeks ago, while shipping over $25 was free, and i got a nail polish in Bubble Gum i think and online, it was so cute. but when i got it, it looked more, dark and i really didnt lyk it. But i also ordered 2mineral lipstick and i liked those pretty well. Tha pink one coulda been a little light tho.

The nude polish takes 3 coats, but metal madness only takes one:) some nail polishes from them are great others are not opaque at all.

I would suggest the Studio line instead of the regular line. I have never tried the mineral lipstick, but I do love the regular line of lipstick and have only had one that broke.

Hey sweetie. Try the brushes on the professional line on elf. It looks like you got the dollar ones. I got the elf pro kabuki years ago, and it's still soft and in wonderful shape. Try it out :)

I got the Lipstick before, and it was great, It didn't last a whole long time but i didn't have any gloss or anything. Mine hasn't broken or anything so i'm sorry you got a broken one but that is not the standard =( I love the eye primer.

It was really smooth kind of like Revlon's Lipstick but not quite since it broke lol. I am so not over it, LOL. Thank you for feeling my pain... I think I'm really going to call them :)

Ooh..I forgot to mention...for the mineral lipstick, you can always contact them and tell them you got a broken piece and they'll send you a replacement. They won't charge you shipping either. I ordered two big orders from ELF, my second order was about $315, (my cousins and I put our order together to save on shipping) and I got about $40 worth of broken stuff, and some items were missing. They shipped out replacement products up here to Canada for free. Try contacting them =)

I agree with 2789739...I've ordered multiple things from ELF, and even though I have been disappointed with some items, I've been generally impressed with the products. I love my ELF mineral eye shadow primer as much as my Urban Decay Primer Potion. If you do ever re-order anything from elf, get the studio eye shadow in pebble for your eyebrows. It's fabulous! <3

I have proabbaly purchased a $100 worth f E.L.F in the last two months. I rack up at kmart and Target. I also purchased a few things online. It's not bad quality at all. It's not cheap quality dollar store makeup. Now if you're looking for awesome, naw! you need to stick to the higher brands. I think I'll go buy some more!

Some of the elf studio line brushes are nice, the face brushes. Other than that I haven't been impressed. I've had a Revlon lipstick and a few NYX lipsticks break like that. :(

@2789739 It's NOT that I do not like them, I just wished that my lipstick didn't break lol. The nude color I wanted it to be a little milk/creamy but its more like a clear coating which also turned me off. The stuck smells great though so I wouldn't tell anyone not to by Elf just Buyer Beware :)
