@crossieh The point of having patience is to be able to learn boring things (starting out with guitar is incredibly boring) without getting bored to the level that you give up on the learning process. Of course you won't learn guitar by looking into a wall for 652 years.
@kiodmais As someone who only started a year ago, it takes a long time and it takes a lot of patience. Starting out will be REALLY slow and boring, but after a while you'll notice your progress. You might not notice you're getting better over the span of a few days, but in the span of a month you can definitely progress a lot.
