  • The last time I tried I gave up, It is hard to even break a 2" log with your feet. and breaking a 4" log is really hard without an axe or a knife

  • it had been cut on the other side before he started filming :L

  • why ur cuting a tree with a knife?

and why ur cuting all that trees? to be cool? thats not cool!

    ur just destroing the world!

  • @MasterSirman Its called sustenance. You'll need wood for shelter and fire

  • @williamjpiano whatever... u dont need too use a knife lol

look at that tree just kick it and it will fall

  • 12 hits

  • i have a cold steel kukri myself, its not particularly sharp but its quite heavy duty! i haven't tried it out on annything but plastic bottles yet tho. its not the reason these were made xD

  • well in this time we have chainsaw for forrest...knifes are old school

  • Run forest run!

  • Tom Hanks was running back for Bubba but decided it would be more fun to chop down a tree. :D

  • Fuckin' tree! You picked the wrong motherfucker to mess with!

  • damn man did you chop down all those trees? hahaha

  • run, forrest runnnn!!!!!

  • absolutely not what the kukri was for. also, its about 10 times the size of a genuine nepalese kukri...

  • @veshkeat It's not just a weapon .

  • @mwillblade originally, its a small knife. a small knife isnt used for chopping down trees

  • 0:07 mmm-mm

    lol :D

  • Chuck Norris can do that in one roundhouse kick

  • @lanigan97 Dude, Chuck Norris doesn't even have to touch it. Chuck Norris can bat his eyelashes on the other side of the world and do that.

  • @xAurelmx hahahaha good point!

  • Took 12 wacks to nock that tree down

  • Someone save the fucking forest!!! He's killing it!!!

  • Judging by the pile of trees on the ground, there seems to have been more than take to shoot this video...

My razor sharp intelligence would fall a tree faster. S'right!

(Voice from bush in background) "I seen it!"

  • "Huh?! Talk shit now you little bitch."

  • that deadwood could have been pushed over... me and my friend used to run thru his property at ten years old taking out dried tree twice that size, anyone can

  • Hey did you sharpen it? or did it come sharp?

  • @XDJOHNNYFORTXD all cold steel knifes come razor sharp

  • @lexousa No they don't you fuckin fag!!!

  • @lexousa Hmmm... because i got the machete version and it was dull, i needed to resharpen it. But i guess the LTC comes with a good factory edge.

  • I'll cut this damb tree down with one swing!!! ***FAIL*** lol

  • Not really demonstrating full power. A full swing would take one hit :/ Just saying...

  • damn i was hoping for a one swinger...

  • @asinkan it's not fake I have one and it really does chop that good

  • At least he's chopping dead trees but the Kukri has amazing chopping power

  • Run Forest Run!!!

  • sorry but the cold steel ones are toys next to a nepales hand forged kukri.

iknow i own a nepales kukri.

  • @willobi it depends on the type of Cold Steel Kukri you get. The cheap $20 ones are obviously not going to be as good as the Nepales Kukri, but the San Mai III or SK-5 Gurkha Kukri's are just as good if not better than the Nepales.

  • Someone tries to pull a knife on you theres only One step at Victory:

  • got to learn more to use that khukuri, still its.... good

  • dude it sounds like ur shooting it

  • dude, what did that tree do to you? Didn't Bruce Lee say that boards don't hit back? I think that counts for trees too

  • its a demonstration of one of the many uses for the kukri. not a demonstration on how it can be used during a fight.

  • This looks like the forest in that old mortal combat movie where scorpion comes out hahaa

  • @goldatra3 looking for waldo

  • @goldatra3 its cast away 2: lost in a forest

  • that tree looked pretty rotten to me!

  • @Highlandersforever its probably because he's in Russian they have pretty bad air quality if he's in Trenobel radiation got to it.

  • if it was rotten the kukri would've sliced through it in one swing

  • Gurkhas do not use this. This is a machete. Gurkas use an actual Khukuri, which is many times thicker and at least twice the weight. Besides, did you notice how the guy only chopped into the tree an inch or two, and it was shaking the whole time? The tree was totally rotten and simply fell over. He didn't chop down anything.

  • die mother fucker die !

  • no..... dude.... that knife is made just for that...along with any random human limb that gets in the way

  • hahahahahaha 0:08 he says comoooon lol

  • StantheGunman, why do you say that Cold Steel knives are cheap crap? Not arguing with you but curious because I just ordered one myself.

  • what has that tree ever do to you huh!

  • tom hanks!!!

  • thats a toy next to the real thing.

  • ...Whoa, that's one hell of a compact chopper.

  • sti cazzi!!!

  • gurkha khukuri all the way.. braviest soldiers in the world!!

  • You could have pushed that tree over with less effort.

  • no you couldnt

  • LOL, get out to the woods much?

  • a few lol i was just being a punk =p

  • i love how he jsut cuts down random trees for no apparent reason!

  • How the hell'd this video start us talking about goths and emos and face stabbery ?

  • It started because somone posted a comment saying it was fake. So I replied to it telling him it was not fake, and having absolutly no arguement saying how it was fake he insulted me for being goth.

  • Oh well...Can't really say much else other than Welcome to the Internet.

He had nothing to bitch about, so his name was the only thing. So basically he had no reasons.

    lol wut

    bye

  • rotten tree is rotten

  • That's a sweet forest.

  • i still like the ballistic knive

  • i kill trees just for the fun of it

  • the tree has feelings too. fuck that. good video. xD

  • Is that the old Cold steel LTC Kukri that was discontinued??, man that thing must have been a beast!!, its the same shape as the Kukri Machete they now sell, except it was Carbon V, and as thick, or thicker then the Gurka Kukri

  • I have a khukuri. In fact, I have two. One is a traditional Nepalese khukuri, forged from leaf spring steel. The other, a factory made, cheap khukuri.

The Nepalese khukuri shattered the cheap one.

I'm pretty sure it would destroy that tree.

  • stfu hippie, the tree was dead

  • I think your watching the wrong video's.

  • The tree was already dead! If you can't tell that your stupid. And also Gothgirl, Anttil is right it is not a machete. Also it is not fake, he could have pushed that tree over.

  • lol

  • Oh yeah? How about you come over to my place and we will see just how good your Kukri is after I bury my Ka-Bar Kukri in you skull.

  • Don't cry little goth kid. Grow up and argue back when you have grown over your angst. I just happen to use my knives, maybe when you dare to actually venture further than your local graveyard you understand what is an actual user knife. Until that, watch your wallhanger "kukris" and jerk off.

  • Yeah you talk real tough shit over the internet. Maybe when you move out of your moms basement and stop playing with your foam swords, you'll learn that your not as tough as you think.

  • im with you on this one, goths with knivs = cut wrists

  • Fuck you target goths don't cut.

  • yeah u idiot, emos cut wrists, goths would rather stab YOU in the face

  • Emos and Goths = Psychological Issues

  • Wrong.

  • Wrong.

  • Wrong.

  • Now you just exhibited the behavior associated with psychological issues.

My guess, and I'm no expert here or anything mind you, is that you suffer from some kind of repeat syndrome. Most likely a deficiency of neurotransmitters causing an endless cycle of the re-uptake inhibitors.

  • Yup!

  • The stab in he face part is wrong, but the emo part is semi right.

  • How is this fake?

  • I got that knife, n I know how much it can. n I say its fake, cuz its not enought time to cut tree like thiz.

  • Just because you are to weak to weild such a machete as this does not mean that other people can't. It's not the machetes fault it's the person using it.

  • Haha, khukuris are not machetes. Get your facts right. And I thought you goth crossdresser makeup artists did all that LARP shit with toy swords. Hey, I think you are one of those since you mentioned. Hey guys, we got an girly man here!

  • Wow, what a sterotypical bastard you are.

  • machete: 1. A sword-like tool used for cutting large plants with a chopping motion. A machete's blade is usually 50 to 65 centimeters (cm) long...

    (wikipedia)

I guess if the kukri is meant as a tool, it can be called a machete, and if it's a weapon, then its a knife. Or a knife-machete. Or just a damn good blade. Or Fred, if your insane enough to name your knife-machete-not-sword-blade-chopping-thing...

(response to AnttiL, just in case youtube puts this in the wrong place)

  • Looks more like a knife to me...

  • says the ghey pornstar...

  • i think a knife manufacturers should really research before giving a knife a name - kurki means little chicks or hens in many slavic languages - just like gatka ( a fighting technique of sikhs ) means talk ( kinda like talking s*it ) LOL

  • I have been to remote parts of the world where people use common kitchen knives as everyday survival tools and here we are following threads from couch potatoes who have the means to buy expensive items they will never use...

  • says you while gutting a chicken with your kitchen survival knife and also typing and your laptop?

  • Sorry gilli I couldn't reply before. I was 50 miles from Iquitos -Peru- right in the middle of the Amazon jungle for a few weeks. Where were you? Gutting chicken in your kitchen with some hi-tech piece of steel? Hahaha!

  • I was riding a unicorn while waiting for your response - thank god you did i couldn't sleep while waiting for you to get out of the Amazon jungle... listen i don't mean to give you shit - you'd give me a chinese clever, a bic lighter and some 550 paracord and i'd be fine to live off the land a good number of days- but there's nothing wrong with buying a good machete if you gonna make good use of it and enjoy not so survival camping, what do think? not everybody lives near the Amazon...

  • No hard feelings gillisledoux; I understand your point. I also enjoy fine pieces of equipment when available.

  • I love down to earth people, you rock dude :D

    peace

  • true!

  • I own H.I ... C.S ... and Ka-Bar Khukuris .. H.I is awesome because it is traditional and I like things to be that way. Armageddon comes, Im strapping my C.S San Mai Kukri to my leg. Nothing, not even my M-43 or Ang Khola can out perform that thing. And the C.S feels waaaaay better in your hand, sorry.

  • You mean to tell me that draditional craftsmen cant do better than CS? The very people that invented the designs from start? Does that aplye to the CS Katanas compared to a REAL katana as well? As for my authority, where is yours? I have the originals and I have BROKEN the CS counterparts! I know enough about craftsmanship tell a REAL well made item from a cheap(In this case expensive) AND bad knock off an original design made by a REAL master and some industrial made crap.

  • The "traditional" craftsmen don't have access to technology, or the best steel. Research has shown the best steel to use, not a half naked nepalese man. In addition, the president of the american bando association. Might know a little more about the best form for a kukri than a nepalese craftsman.

  • I'm not questionining the American Bando associations President. I'm questionining the overrated quality of CS mass produced crapy knives. And I think its an insult towards any real craftasman to claim their superiority on the basis of ''technology''. CS Carbon 5 line is THE opposit. Cheap light weight knock offs produced bu people ''who dont know'' to build a race car. CS are better at marketing than knife making, and their CO is a fullblown idiot.

  • The Gurkha kukri is not "light weight." It's a heavy knife, 5/16" thick at the spine. And if you have something against Carbon 5, it has the same chemical composition as O1 tool steel. If you want to know more about carbon 5, I'll give you some websites.

  • Steel isnt a ''magic'' thing, steel sorts alone make up of ONE component in blade maufacturing. Steel SORTS by name alone isnt a quality quality certifacation. YOU need to learn more your self before you recomend ME what to study. Hardening and quality control is done by drunk monkeys at CS on their cheaper line. I have broken more CS knives than I care care to remember. And since I have acess to steel manufacuring quality control equipment such as x-ray equipment. So I'm notguessing.

  • Well, I have 3 cold steel gurkha kukris. They're all great. Sorry you have had such a bad experience.

  • What the fuck did you do to break these knifes? Try to smash rocks? If you had access to quality control equipment and observed beyond doubt that CS knives are cheap crap why did you buy more than one? Do you remember?

And study grammar you prick :P

    YOU SIR, ARE PWNED !!

  • Oh, I´m not ¨Ingruish¨enough for you. Only PWND asshole here is you for supporting a cheating liar and his rotten compnany by bying and advocating the use knives that are utter CRAP! So f*ck you very much and go back to your craptastic bullshit knives.

  • There is no uppgrade what so ever in CS production, espcially in their chieper line of knives. The one they call Carbon5. An indiginous made Kukhri is worked thrue and thrhue by hand, CS are just the wosrt and chiepest indusrtrial crap.

  • Incorrect. Cold Steel Kukri's are endorsed by the Bando association, the official martial arts association that uses Kukris as a part of their fighting system. Their style comes from areas of China, Burma, India.

  • And at one time the medical community endorsed mercury to treat syphilis. Don't count so much on what other people are doing, the majority can make mistakes.

  • It's likely that a man who has trained for years with the weapon will know how to make it well. We're not talking about medicine, but martial arts. I think there are many differences between the two situations.

  • Not particularly, I know men who have driven trains for years but have absolutely no idea how to make one. Time does not guarantee experience nor does it entitle one to absolute infallible knowledge.

CS are decent production knives, but very few production knife makers can match the quality or consistency found in a handmade knife. CS is what it is, a production knife manufacturer, any and all endorsements are just that, endorsements, not cast in stone truths.

  • A train is more complicated than a knife. Even if your acquaintance cannot build a train, I'm sure he has lots of opinions about how to build the cabin in which the train driver sits, about where to put which buttons on the console. He knows how to arrange the items that he works with every day. You don't need to know how to build a car to drive one, but you may be an expert in the best place to put the gear shift so that you can reach it more easily.

  • You don't need to know how to build an engine to be a race car driver.

  • Cold steel sucks ass, get a real Kukhri for less money and it will never fail you.

  • Yes the originals are cheaper but they are made from rail-way track.

Cold steels version works the same they just upgraded it

    Kukris

  • Cold Steel Kukris are the best according to the American Bando association. You can't buy a better kukri.

  • Well the American Bando association is dead wrong!I will bett any of my CHEAP and crafted indiginius Kukhris made by REAL Gurkha weaponeers against ANY kukhri made by CS. I have tryed all the CS versions and they are inferior in all aspects but one, CS comes sharper out of the box. Well a "real" Bando practisioner or Gurkha knows that a true Gurkha sharpen his own blade, more or less ritually. Of all the CS crap out there their Kukhris are the least impressive when compared with an original.

  • What steel do they use in their kukris? What percentage of carbon, manganese and other ingredients do the makers put into the steel? What method of heat treatment do they use, and what is the Rockwell hardness? Steel is the most important thing in any type of knife. If you don't know these things, then you do not have the authority to say that they are higher quality.

  • Well, CS makes the cheaper ones from a carbon steel, and the original ones are also from carbon steel. mostly spring steel, and let's say about:

    C=0,5

    Mn=0,35

    Cr=2

    Si=0,6

ant the HRC will be about 58-60 at the edge, and the rest between 40-45.

CS hardens their Kuhkri's at the same hardness, say 56 HRC?

CS has it's place, but I thing the original are the best, and the best looking!

  • Oh, yes? The "American" Bando Association found that "American" kuhkris performed better than traditional ones from Nepal, did they?

  • I'm sorry, that was a bit too venomous. I know very little about that type of martial arts, so I shouldn't pretend to. My last comment is cheerfully withdrawn.

  • If you want to say something, just say it. Making implications shows that you're a coward. The president of the bando association is nepalese. I know people who live in the U.S. that are more loyal to their home country than the U.S.
