Obvious application for this is replacing the suspension in the car with something that can recover energy and act as an alternator of sorts that will charge the batteries as the car drives over bumps. Very crucial for hybrid and electric powered cars.

This would be neat in some toys or games or something. I think this may be good in automatic door closers, but I'm not sure how advantageous this would be over pneumatic ones.
You could use it for a recoil in a gun because it looks like the spring takes a good shock, so try it in a guns recoil spring. Give me credit if you become rich! Thanks
