As-Salamu Alaykum is a greating that (as far as I know), is given when a muslims is greeting another muslim.
When the u.s. president was greeted He was given it with an ending that said, 'to them that does the will of god', or something like that. I guess it's ok to use that greeting but don't think they will want the same for you (a non-muslim). You'd be lucky (if they have their way) to get by with them just charging you an extra tax (because of being a non-muslim), if they would let you live.
Socrates died for our sins; Jesus committed suicide.
Really, it never ceases to amaze me that people buy this garbage. It's like declaring everyone must obey the rules of Fight Club because it says to in the book Fight Club and then, under the assumption that the rules of Fight Club must be kept, deciding everyone is a sinner for wearing a shirt and shoes. That in the 21st century, fully grown adults still believe in scapegoating demonstrates the evil of religion
@mjr256 your using straw men arguments..no one is forcing you to believe in Jesus also no one asked you to click on this video you did so out of your own free will so I don't know why your complaining..what did you expect a Christian to say in a CHRISTIAN VIDEO?!?!?! That is one thing about Atheists that annoy me they click on Christian videos then complain about it. Get a life.
No, no one is forcing me to believe in Jesus because we live in a free society. But fundies sure do try to force Jesus on everyone. And as for no one asking me to click on this video, the argument can go both ways. No one asked Slick to air his views on a forum as public as YouTube. If you're going to air your opinions in the public sphere, you should be prepared to have those views scrutinized. If you can't handle dissenting views, then don't air your views in public.
I highly doubt this message will ever get through to Muslims. Every religion is full of people that are convinced that they are right and everyone else is wrong; Christianity and Islam are no exceptions.
@leifey if someone hears the message of Christianity and still reject it then they alone will be held accountable at the day of Judgment. Many times after people would reject the message of the Gospels the disciples would say "the blood be on our own heads I am innocent" A person can reject the message,if they do then they can never say "No body told me" on the day of Judgment. Christians are commanded to spread the message of Christianity this is the command that comes from Christ.
@Jerseygirl8999 Christians tell people the message all the time, but they can never justify why people should take them seriously. It's easy to spread an assertion; it's much harder to prove that the assertion is true. Until they do, people are justified in thinking it's all a load of bilge. Is God really that irrational that He'd reward blind faith over logic and reason?
One historical resource, the book "Church History" was written by Eusebius of Caesarea, who lived from 263-339AD. This fascinating and exhaustive work is still available to us today.
