  • lol. this is the invader v2...

  • @joewhiteguy11 i think hes playing the beginning of the blue devils 1995 cadence called "dick".

  • Does anyone know what sticks he's using?

  • @SweeneyTodd2095 He has his own sticks! made himself i believe

  • Anybody know the name of the thing he's playing at 2:49?

  • @joewhiteguy11 Hertas

  • @long3000 I know it was that, but the name of the solo thing.

  • The thing he needs to work on is getting the wind away from the mic..

  • I got this pad. Loved it. A couple months later the pad was literally deteriorating. It feels like complete crap to play on and the rim has now fallen off.

  • so, I played on a xymox for like, a month and I played on a snare and nothing had changed on my rimshots...

  • Looks like a great pad, but I do no have 80 dollars to spend. :(

  • the remo practice pad is the same as that pad but smaller and probably cheaper you can buy a remo one at guitar center

  • @jy122 i used to have that pad its a complete peice of shit. doesnt even begin to compare to this

  • @jy122 remo practice pads are terrible...that was my first pad when I started playing drums 12 years ago...yea, it's great...if you're a beginner..

  • @ramrod2424 i like them because of the rim that it has on it

  • @jy122 yea, but other than the rim...the playing surface is awful.

  • @ramrod2424 yeah i guess but i keep it really tight so i like but i am probably going to buy a different one soon

  • @jy122 idk...maybe mine was broken or something, cause I could never get it to sound good no matter how tight I cranked it. I ordered this pad and actually just got it in the mail the other day...I highly recommend it if you have the $70 to blow. It's the best pad I've ever played on :)

  • he should play a little lower for the best technique...about an inch or two

  • he should play a little lower for the best technique

  • is it me or does this pad turn u on

  • Im not a drummer so I dont know what he is talking about lower and upper dynamics? Im assuming he is talking about the sweetspot of the drum. Is this pad reallyworth $69? I have been looking at others to practice with in my room and this seems like the best but its so pricey

  • @csmorgan If you don't know what he means by that then you shouldn't spend so much on a pad...

  • @MrHeavanell Gotta start somewhere

  • @csmorgan But obviously you aren't that serious about drumming if you don't know what he's talking about. I'm just saying....if you're a bowler, you don't buy a $200 ball on the first day, you get the cheap basic ball for like $90.

  • @MrHeavanell I can buy whatever I want last time I checked. Also, how would you not be motivated to play more if you have nice gear

  • @csmorgan Yeah sure you can, but you're more than likely wasting your money if you aren't super serious about it. You can be motivated, but everyone is motivated at lots of things at first, but when they get into it the motivation fades away and then what do you have? Lost money.

  • @csmorgan yeah dont buy this if youre "not a drummer"

  • @eskysucks I aspire to be and I really think that practicing on my invader will also help me on a kit. Ive only had it for a week and my left hand has gotten so much stronger

  • Where can you get this?

  • @saidincontent internet

  • I just bought mine today can't wait to get it

  • I just got mine today.

    Awesomest, pad, in the universe

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting, but why on earth are you in the middle of a park??

  • @DanLetts97 umm, where should he make a demo video? on the moon?

  • just ordered mine

  • what chops!!!!!

  • $75 due to the $10 shipping.

  • awesome wind sound!

  • It stays up because of the Beer Belly. lol J/k man.

Good review. I just ordered this pad lastnight. Can't wait to get it.

  • coolest snare tech ever

  • sounds like he said mike and bruce

  • dude vader pads suck balls i have one u know how many times ive thrown it at the wall cuz it sucks in #1 sound #2 feel#3 its the easiest pad to get pad hands on # 4 when i was having trouble cleaning my left hand flams i couldnt hear that i was to closed up, that all changed when i got my invader, i dont gotta throw it at the wall cuz i love the sound i love the feel and i love that ive never got pad hands again i recommend if ur truly serious about drumming then u should definatly get invader

  • your post makes very little sense. look how it starts out

  • can you still buy the V2 or is it dicontinued cuz i like the way it sounds better than the v3

  • Yeah, you can only buy the V3 now.

  • for just doing some randome improv i use jeff queen solo's

  • does he play along with all of that wind noise?

  • wat kind of sticks is he using

  • this guys on ScoJos nutts, If I had to put money on it Id say Scott Johnsons

  • Yes, cause at one point he marched BD. He was third place in the 1997 I&E competition.

  • looks like sco jos

  • @heemoh8r Innovative and vic are the only good ones.

  • I have to wonder why there are a lot of cuts in the video. And for the "non-slip" part, look at that gut! That's what's holding the pad up!

  • @Rogers1977 he could put a basketball coated in oil on top of that gut and it wouldn't slip.

  • @S1lv3rdo7 but he could still drum better than any of you

  • @MrSnareplaya chop wise, no he couldn't. Maybe his knowledge of music is greater then mine, but no he could not drum faster, or better then me.

  • @S1lv3rdo7 whatever

  • @S1lv3rdo7 you must be good then!

  • @S1lv3rdo7 Yea. Honestly he isn't playing that technical of stuff. The only thing he has on me are his flam fives come out a bit more crisp.

  • Whitch is the best Marching stick?

  • PRO-MARK DC52

  • vic firth murray gussecks (m-dawgs) are the best marching snare sticks ever, love them.

  • I don't know. I like the Hardimons myself.

  • there are none. its what works for you

  • depends on what u like/play/using it for

but a good overall might be the ralph hardimons or Scott johnsons

  • RALPH HARDIMON'S RULE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pro mark dc 50

  • there is not really the best marching stick it's all depends on your opinion of a stick so just go out and buy a couple of different pairs of sticks and play with them and see which you you think is the best.

  • ok, could somebody who's played both a slimpad and a v3 please compare the 2 in terms of FEEL? please, someone: help me out.

  • Invader has the rim and more atractive thats all I know

  • oh my god i just got back from a marching band competition there, i got to play on these pads they are freaking AMAZING!!!!!

    -Skyview Idaho!!!! Bass 3

  • What is the difference between the v2 and v3 other than the logo? I just got a v3 and it is dope. but the surface looks the same.

  • The rim is thicker. And it's wider.

  • think about it your average vic or vater or HQ pad is about $25-$30 and the invader it $65. If a regular vic tenor or those promark ones are $110-$115 how much do you think an invader tenor pad would cost. Probably close to $200. But i do agree an invader tenor pad would be awesome!

  • offworld should make a quad pad..

  • they are...just wait

  • I think I may the tenor pad even though I don't play tenors.

  • buy 4.

  • that would be a heavy ass quad pad. i just got my v3 and it is no cheapo thing. it is really heavy and high quality.

  • i tried the shirt thing

    it slipped off every time

but the surface does stick pretty good to flat surfaces

  • it may help to have a belly like me. it stays.

  • okay i just tried it and it barely stay when i leaned more than about 45degrees so idk but ima pretty slim guy so maybe i'll try that againg 30 years from now when i have a beer gut

  • "this is not special effects folks" lol like im gonna practice with it falling off a mountain

  • while on fire and playing a snare break.

  • He said "Space Age" material. What, are we back in the 50's now? And he used his beer gut to show the pads "non-slip" surface.

Kinda creepy guy. Cool pad though.

  • rofl.

  • One of the percussion instructors at my high school is the creator of the Invader pad and co-owner of offworld percussion. Dave. The guy rules. Michah is in a world of his own too, he came and helped out with our fall line last year. Love the invader.

  • What kind of sticks are those? i know there vic firth but wt particular model?

  • damn nice chops!

  • that's definitely some space technology bullshit going on right there.

  • Vic Firth Slim pad is a great pad but i would have to go with the invader pad. Its an awesome feel and great practice for rim shots.

  • i have the slimpad and i ordered this too

  • I would agree the Offroad pads are incredible. I also own a slimpad (Vic Firth) and I have to admit, for traveling and portability, the slimpad is much lighter with a great feel. I use the Offroad for home practice and have it clamped on a snare stand.

  • Offroad haha.

  • I forgot to mention i finally got mine a week ago. It came in the day i sent my last comment on here. Im so impatient but the pad is great. Best pad ive ever had or used. Whoever does not have one, get one, you will love it.

  • dude, will you compare it, if you can, to a Vic Firth slimpad? that's what I use right now, and I'm not sure whether or not I want an Invader Pad

  • hey i had the slim pad and i got a V3 invader pad i was disappointed its mostly like a slimpad but black and with a rim on it my opinion

  • i got mine just now!

  • ITs says nothing bout april 14. It said the the third week of april but its been updated and now it says today is the release date. Hope mine comes in soon. Cant wait!

  • Same here, I pre ordered, I'm dying to get it!

  • It says somewhere on there that delivery will begin 3 or 4 weeks after april 14th

  • Oh ya i ordered mine yesterday! They should be out around may 12th

  • I thought they were coming out the third week of april. Its already the fourth week isnt it? I ordered mine the fourteenth of this month.

  • Seems like an awesome pad. I have preordered mine already , does anyone know when they are goin to be in?

  • about may.....12th? ish. i just ordered mine!

  • I pre-ordered it last Friday. This will be the last pad I buy.

  • Hi, this is Mike Abuse xD

I didn't read his name because I wasn't looking at my screen and I thought he said Mike Abuse xD

  • I have to get the new one.

  • these pads are awesome. Just checked the website for these, says they're out of stock :(

  • ahhhhh v3 is out now...!

  • that's awesome dude!

  • how close does this pad feel to playing on an actual drum? and how does the back side feel when playing on it?because it would be a bummer wasting that money rite now.

  • is it worth the money. how does it compare to a slimpad?

  • yeah micah hes my drumline instructor, tomorrow at my winter drumline comp I finally get one woo!

  • HAHAHA that wat i was saying his belly is a road block/speed bump.

  • Comment removed

  • Vic Firth SSJ's
