Anyone that knows anything about snare please check out my video and give me constructed criticism and some pointers to make me a better percussionist
I got this pad. Loved it. A couple months later the pad was literally deteriorating. It feels like complete crap to play on and the rim has now fallen off.
@jy122 idk...maybe mine was broken or something, cause I could never get it to sound good no matter how tight I cranked it. I ordered this pad and actually just got it in the mail the other day...I highly recommend it if you have the $70 to blow. It's the best pad I've ever played on :)
Im not a drummer so I dont know what he is talking about lower and upper dynamics? Im assuming he is talking about the sweetspot of the drum. Is this pad reallyworth $69? I have been looking at others to practice with in my room and this seems like the best but its so pricey
@csmorgan But obviously you aren't that serious about drumming if you don't know what he's talking about. I'm just saying....if you're a bowler, you don't buy a $200 ball on the first day, you get the cheap basic ball for like $90.
@csmorgan Yeah sure you can, but you're more than likely wasting your money if you aren't super serious about it. You can be motivated, but everyone is motivated at lots of things at first, but when they get into it the motivation fades away and then what do you have? Lost money.
@eskysucks I aspire to be and I really think that practicing on my invader will also help me on a kit. Ive only had it for a week and my left hand has gotten so much stronger
dude vader pads suck balls i have one u know how many times ive thrown it at the wall cuz it sucks in #1 sound #2 feel#3 its the easiest pad to get pad hands on # 4 when i was having trouble cleaning my left hand flams i couldnt hear that i was to closed up, that all changed when i got my invader, i dont gotta throw it at the wall cuz i love the sound i love the feel and i love that ive never got pad hands again i recommend if ur truly serious about drumming then u should definatly get invader
there is not really the best marching stick it's all depends on your opinion of a stick so just go out and buy a couple of different pairs of sticks and play with them and see which you you think is the best.
think about it your average vic or vater or HQ pad is about $25-$30 and the invader it $65. If a regular vic tenor or those promark ones are $110-$115 how much do you think an invader tenor pad would cost. Probably close to $200. But i do agree an invader tenor pad would be awesome!
okay i just tried it and it barely stay when i leaned more than about 45degrees so idk but ima pretty slim guy so maybe i'll try that againg 30 years from now when i have a beer gut
One of the percussion instructors at my high school is the creator of the Invader pad and co-owner of offworld percussion. Dave. The guy rules. Michah is in a world of his own too, he came and helped out with our fall line last year. Love the invader.
I would agree the Offroad pads are incredible. I also own a slimpad (Vic Firth) and I have to admit, for traveling and portability, the slimpad is much lighter with a great feel. I use the Offroad for home practice and have it clamped on a snare stand.
I forgot to mention i finally got mine a week ago. It came in the day i sent my last comment on here. Im so impatient but the pad is great. Best pad ive ever had or used. Whoever does not have one, get one, you will love it.
ITs says nothing bout april 14. It said the the third week of april but its been updated and now it says today is the release date. Hope mine comes in soon. Cant wait!

I have to wonder why there are a lot of cuts in the video. And for the "non-slip" part, look at that gut! That's what's holding the pad up!
Rogers1977 2 years ago 14
@Rogers1977 he could put a basketball coated in oil on top of that gut and it wouldn't slip.
