My problem with him here is that he seems to be putting God to blame for the way things are in his life and he is"washing his hands"of the situation. Sub-customs, I don't think really addresses the truth about what we believe. For instance, in Catholicism Christians don't go str8 to heaven, but go to purgatory for further purification b4 they get to heaven. That's a complete doctrinal difference from protestants, not a sub-custom.

And that you HAD to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and not just in Jesus' name, or the baptism didn't count. I do not agree with the same sex issue for health reasons and it is a sin. (Continuing from my previous post) As for Tonex, the bible says not to have many become teachers because they shall receive the greater condemnation. (James 3:1) In the interview, he explains away scripture and contradicts himself. He says God does not honor promiscuity of any kind, but later says having sex outside marriage isn't sin, but rather sleeping with many people. Also, God doesn't honor any kind of sin. Oh friends, God will one day judge us by his word and not our feelings.

Listen very caarefully....First, both of them need to repent. About a decade ago, Lexi made a beautiful song called Conversation. It talks about waiting until marriage to have sex. However, if what Tonex says is true, then you can throw that song out the window! At the end, Lexi should have affirmed her love for him (which she did), but condemn homosexuality as sin. Being that she didn't, some people may not consent to Tonex's views.

I watched this ideo a year ago and now i watched it again. My problem with him here is that he seems to be putting God to blame for the way things are in his life and he is"washing his hands"of the situation. He says he is waithing on God to move like the ball is in His court.The day when we blame God and don't look at ourselves as in the wrong accourding to God's Word is the day we outright call God a lier. I've always thought of him as a wonderful VOICE, but not into his music vibe, etc- something just did not seem right to me, I'd tell my friends. The pastor should have an authority above him & his authority should tell that pastor to sit down from his position and get right!!

What many ppl don't understand is that sexuality is not like the light in the room in which I am sitting; it can't be turned on and off with the flip of a switch. He made an interesting point about how we (both church and society at large) rank sin. Everyone is guilty of something, therefore no one has room to judge anyone else.

This young man is threatening the present day church and its heads that is why he is being ostracized. He recognizes and does not want to be followers "God", but instead perform his pastoral duties and lead them to the cross. What a free spirit and breath of fresh air. Hallelujah!!!

the bible says to take every thought captive and make it obey Christ. you can overcome sin. we have the authority through Jesus Christ. READ YOUR BIBLE AND PRAY EVERY DAY.

Also, what do we do with archaic understandings that the people of the bible held based on what we know today. For instance, that the earth is not FLAT but round Revelation 7:1. And that the sun stayed still in the sky in Joshua 10:13, when it is the EARTH that moves, not the Sun

@tmntsuperhiros Denomination is irrelivant if we all follow the same WORD. the WORD of GOD.. the BIBLE doesnt change.. all though we have adopted different sub-customs, wen it comes to the over all message we all understand and support the 10 commandments, and every thing that flowed from the mouth of CHRIST. The Lord is not concerned with denominations. we all pres twards the same goals.. to be purified before hisw 2nd coming. to spread the message of the gospel.. to win souls... to be vessels

@Dsyl1987 For all intents & purposes the 10 commandments & the words of Christ are absent of anything to say on homosexuality; and Jesus stressed the importance of 2 commandments, not 10. Sub-customs, I don't think really addresses the truth about what we believe. For instance, in Catholicism Christians don't go str8 to heaven, but go to purgatory for further purification b4 they get to heaven. That's a complete doctrinal difference from protestants, not a sub-custom.

@Dsyl1987 And growing up Baptist I know that you HAD to be baptized to be "saved". And that you HAD to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and not just in Jesus' name, or the baptism didn't count. Or that if you grew up Catholic and were baptized as a baby, you had to be baptized again (it's why my mom did it). These sentiments ignore where in the bible the thief on the cross goes to heaven and when entire households were baptized when just the parents were "saved"

@Dsyl1987 All of that is to say that the bible itself does not bring us all together. I mean even in Jesus day there were three major sects of Judaism, with different cannons. And Jesus disagreed with them all. Knowing scripture doesn't bring you any closer to God (John 3:10), but knowing Jesus does (John 17:3). For more consideration, what a bout circumcision? Gen. 17:9-14 says that it is a *physical* sign and it is *everlasting*. Paul disagrees in Romans 2:29. Who is right? God or Paul?

Also, no one is comparing slavery to homosexuality. We are comparing the ETHICS of one practice in the bible to another and asking WHY it's okay for one and not the other. Or why people ignore the Bibles explicit condoning and sanctioning of something that we in this day would call immoral.

I appreciate his truthfulness....I don't agree with homosexuality but we all know that we ALL DO DIRT....how many of us can come out publicly to confess the DIRT we commit in our bedroom???
Let us all pray for Tonex and most importantly pray for OURSELVES....remember, "WATCH UR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING"...the emphasis is on YOUR SALVATION...not another person. Lets just pray for ourselves and for the mercy of God to see us through this end times
