As much of a christian I am I don't support mike because of his beliefs. I'm looking for the most conservative out there and right now that's huckabee.

The Dover case was encouraging too because the district, which is 75% republican, booted out the anti evolution school board in favor of pro science republicans(who ironically, had to switch to Democrats to get on the ballot lol). And "Liberal activist Judge" that struck down Intelligent Design was a conservative appointed by Bush and recommended by Santorum
Politicians(especially Presidents) in America always jawbone the religious because they want to get elected so thats why their language is religious. But as far as i know none have taken an open stand against evolution since candidate William Jennings Bryan tried to prosecute a teacher for the crime of teaching evolution. If anything all the judges that have been appointed to the supreme court have struck down creationism. There was a case in 1987 and recently in Dover PA that struck down ID.

I agree...Romney is positioned well at this point. He has won 2 races (Michigan and Wyoming) and has taken 2nd in 2 races (New Hampshire and Iowa). He is defenitely the frontronner thus far in the race, and I beleive he will continue to be. Huckabee is overwith since there aren't enough evangelicals with Mormon-phobia in every state to put him over. I think Republicans will see through McCains facade as a liberal running on the Republican ticket before he wins much more.

flat tax doesn't mean that everyone pays the same dollar amount. It means that everyone pays the same percentage amount. If the flat tax was 10%, then someone who makes $100,000 would pay $10,000 and someone who makes $10,000 would pay $1,000. If you make less money you pay less, if you make more you pay more, but everyone pays the same percentage.

Regardless of the politics of it, Huckabee comes off as sincere and real. I think that is the key to his campaign and his appeal.
I've noticed even the media might now agree with what he is saying, but they seem to like him (for the most part).
And he's got some of the best ads. in this campaign.

The Dover case was encouraging too because the district, which is 75% republican, booted out the anti evolution school board in favor of pro science republicans(who ironically, had to switch to Democrats to get on the ballot lol). Politicians(especially Presidents) in America always jawbone the religious because they want to get elected so thats why their language is religious. But as far as i know none have taken an open stand against evolution since candidate William Jennings Bryan tried to prosecute a teacher for the crime of teaching evolution. If anything all the judges that have been appointed to the supreme court have struck down creationism. There was a case in 1987 and recently in Dover PA that struck down ID.

a fuse of chromosomes does not prove a species has evolved. it could be a genetic mutation and the new "species" would not be able to reproduce.
we could go on and on, but the bottom line is, nobody knows. and mike huckabee did not say evolution was wrong, he just said he finds it hard to believe that we just all got here by accident. and then he went on to say that if he was wrong he has lost nothing. and he has also stated that he does not intend to change textbooks to include creationism.

- Your wars force you to spend money overseas which allows foreigners to have US funds which were printed.

Romney is making a concerted effort to appeal to both economic and social conservatives, and it seems to be working. He beat out Huckabee by 5% among Evangelical Christians in Michigan, and was only one point ahead of Mitt among that group in New Hampshire. (Romney was second among Evangelicals in Iowa.) I am enjoying this race, and I have to assume the press is, too. How many extra newspapers are you selling over past primaries?

I agree...Romney is positioned well at this point. He has won 2 races (Michigan and Wyoming) and has taken 2nd in 2 races (New Hampshire and Iowa). He is defenitely the frontronner thus far in the race, and I beleive he will continue to be. Huckabee is overwith since there aren't enough evangelicals with Mormon-phobia in every state to put him over. I think Republicans will see through McCains facade as a liberal running on the Republican ticket before he wins much more.

BTW, it's not "mormon-phobia" it's Romney phobia. I like to know where my President stands on issues, even if I disagree with him/her. I don't think anyone will ever know for sure where Mitt stands on anything since he is constantly changing his position.

Kudos to Mike on the fairtax, but Paul's plan addresses spending in a much bigger way.
The fact that the other candidates ignore this tells us something about the modern Republican party. Eisenhower was the last Republican president who didn't just TALK about reducing spending.

Do you really think new homes can pay 23% tax? Or that cancer patients, nursing home care, will pay 23% extra? To make 23% work, virtually ALL sales will be taxed, including RENT. But one by one, groups will get exemptions -- renters, new home buyers, cancer patients, nursing homes, the military, etc, -- all will get exemptions. So 23% changes to 40-50% to make up for it.

Its membership list is a who's who of Washington and Wall St. elite going back nearly a century. It should not be surprising that most presidential candidates in the 2008 election are CFR members. Candidates do not advertise their CFR membership to the public. They pose as liberals and conservatives to control all aspects of the debate. The CFR has stacked the deck for the 2008 election with several members in the race from both sides of the isle.

Mike, I was laid off. Not by a boss (although that has happened too) instead, I was laid off from the most important job I will ever have. I am a laid off father - pushed out of my family as a defendant in a no-fault divorce. Maybe gov't can protect workers, but it MUST protect parental rights and family relationships, so that dads who WANT to be there for their kids, can't be FORCED OUT without cause. My vid above is directed toward Romney, but his people won't "approve" my post on their vids. So much for "Ask Mitt Anything". But family destruction is at the root of so many of today's problems, including stagnant "real" wages. Costs rising faster than wages, partly because more divorces means more people live alone in a financed (or rented) second house, which doubles the family's energy consumption and inflates energy prices.

flat tax doesn't mean that everyone pays the same dollar amount. It means that everyone pays the same percentage amount. If the flat tax was 10%, then someone who makes $100,000 would pay $10,000 and someone who makes $10,000 would pay $1,000. If you make less money you pay less, if you make more you pay more, but everyone pays the same percentage.
