Wheezer reminds me of myself as a child. man...i remember it like it was yesterday and im only 44 years old. i hope i could get to meet him in the next life.
RIP Wheezer. may allah take care of you. god bless.
When I was 16, I worked at the same restaurant as Shirley in Connecticut. She had the same short hair, except without those cool curls on her forehead and those 2 wisps on her cheeks of course. She had salt & pepper hair and chain smoked. lol. Yeah, but if you looked close enough at her face, you'd say to yourself,"Yeah, that's the same girl, alright." You could tell because of her squarish facial structure. She was cool too, even in her 60's. She died a little over a year ago. 1930's style icon
Dorothy lives about 10 minutes from me in livermore, ca. At least she used to. Not sure if she is still there though. I've always been a big fan of the Our Gang series and wanted to ring her doorbell to say hi but have never done it...guess I don't want to intrude...
@tallone38 I know Dorothy loves to talk about her Our Gang days. She's in poor health - on oxygen with emphysema - but still gets around a bit. I wouldn't hesitate to say hello to her if you happen to see her.
Yes your'e right. She passed away in December of 2003. She was almost 81. I always liked these Oug Gang kids, Wheezer, Mary, Jackie, Dorothy, Stymie especially Stymie, There aren't many of them still alive now, I think Dorothy and Jean and Dick Moore and Jackie Cooper from this era are still alive.

Dorothy "Echo" Deborba is still around today :)
Chubby: Oh, my dear, hear the pleas in my whispers.
Dorothy: Oh, my dear, hear the fleas in my whiskers.
Chubby: If love is like a rose I will nip my rose in the bud.
Dorothy: If love is like a rose I will stick my nose in the mud.
Chubby: My heart is filled with joy. I want to trip and dance.
Dorothy: My heart is filled with joy. I want to rip my pants

RIP indeed. A super nice lady, even after the fire and other downturns. We'll miss her here in the Albany/Saratoga area.
