  • @ameerarafath75

go back to the sand fucking muzzie, dont come into non-muslim nations...we are not gonna bow down to yr fallacies...

  • I don't get why expressing one's religion fragments society. Shouldn't we create awareness of diversity in schools? There is no point in masking our differences.

  • Parents are responsible for their children thats why they can make them wear the hiyab...and the point here is not wether Islam obliges little one to wear it or not, the important thing here, is the discrimination against muslims and how oppressive are these secular governments...

  • This Should be called Rebels With A Super-Strong Faith :D

  • The way you guys debate sucks. Seriously. (I meant the comment -ers)

  • Islam rules singapore

  • No. This is because this would create a feel that the government is biased for not letting other religions carry out their practices.

  • 4) student who wear tudung only go to madrasah (a school for islam people) not normal school

  • Nurul's father wanted her to be committed to her religion and to be modest.

  • 1. The father wants Nurul to be a Modest person in the future.

    2. The government wants to protect common space

    3. Its unfair beacuse sikhs can wear turbans to schools but malay girls cannot wear their headscarf.

  • nuruls father send her to school with the tudung due to religious reasons

the singapore goverment do not allow them to wear tudung because of preventing racial riots

no as the sings still can wear turbunds to school

    no i dont think so

  • 1. the family is very religious and very modest to the muslim religion .

    2. this will cost many conflicts between singaporeans as this will affect the common space of all the religions as it is unfair to all other religions other then the muslims.

    3. it is unfair as i believe that the Sikhs shld have removed their turbans as well.

    4. i do not think so as it is still quite unfair to other religions

  • other races will find the government as the government is being biased towards other races.like,if sikhs men can wear turbans, why cannot malay girls wear the headscarf as it is to cover the hair to avoid being seen by others.

  • other races will find the government unfair and biased.

  • i feel that the school decision was fair to suspend nurul because other school girls might feel biased if the school allowed nurul to wear the tudung

  • 1.To respect the malay religion

    2.All school are not allowed

3.Ya.Because its against the school rule and they ignore it

4.I think in the furture they will allow the malays to wear the tudongs as they are scared that there might be another riot

  • No, it is not fair to them as they could just discuss the matter with a press conference?

  • her father sents her to school using a tudung because he wants his daughter to become a good muslim.

  • 1. To make Nurul a modest person.

    2. It will affect the common space.

    3. No because it is not being sensible to the Muslim religion.

    4. No because it wants to protect the common space.

  • i feel bad of the school . that they supended her .,.

  • 1. It was because nurul's father respect muslim traditions.

    2. It was because they wanted to promote the common space, where everyone comes to school with the same uniform.

3.Basically, i personal felt that, the school decision to suspend was unfair. As this was their religions. They should respect it.

4.I dont think in future the singapore government will allow muslim to wear girls a tudung still. As the government would still stand on their place still.

  • 1. This is because the father practiced the Muslim's Belief and laws. He wants her child to be well educated but also tofollow the Muslim's Belief & Laws .

    2. This is because they are not sensitive to the Muslim's Beliefs & Laws. They think that by the GIRLS wearing tudung is not appropiate.

    3. Suspending them is not fair. This is because if the sigh can wear turban to school but whyy muslim girls can't wear tudung ? is BIASE !~!

  • 2. The Singapore government did not allow students wear their tudung as they think that if everyone does that, there will be no total defense.

3.I personally feel that the school decision was not fair to suspend the childeren wearing tudung as it is their religon.

4.In future, i think that government schools in singapore will allow muslims girls to wear a tudung in school.

  • 1. Because it was part of their muslim religion rules & belief .

    2. Because they are not sensitive on muslim belief.

    3. No. Because wearing the tudung is part of their religion and it will not disturb them on their studies.

    4. No. Because the Singapore government are not sensitive enough.

  • 1.so that her young will continue to wear scarf when she grew up

2.because if one wears the rest will wear it and it will become a big issue

3.i think that its unfair as they are just primary students and wil missed their basic studies

  • Comment removed

  • @ Herosableng : Traditional ,? ,Respect own religion by wearing the tudung ?

@Herosableng : Singapore government promote a common space , and government want everyone to wear the same uniform .

@Herosableng : It's is very unfair to suspend the girl to go to school , because of the tudung , she didn't get to attend the school & she would missed alot of lesson ,and if she is suspend , she couldn't do anything but just stay at home .

  • in the future, the sginapore schools will still nt allow muslim to wear their headscarf to school because it will cause more touble as people will start to wear their own headscarfs and other religions will start saying they want to wear or bring their own religious things

  • @PiggyJJxz

    Siginnapore school

  • 1. Because of religious beliefs purposes.

    2. Because it would jeprodise the racial harmony in Singapore

    3. It was fair to suspend because if they were to not suspend, the muslims would be angry and cause a conflict

    4. No because they would stand out.

  • The government will surely emphasis on this to not allow them to wear to prevent any more of this in the future. the mulisums would find it unfair but the government has their own way of doing things.

  • 2) not fair to the other religious

    3) yes because they we just following the rules

  • 1. Because of religious beliefs purposes.

    2. Because it would jeprodise the racial harmony in Singapore

    3. It was fair to suspend because if they were to not suspend, the muslims would be angry and cause a conflict

    4. No because they would stand out.

  • As wearing a Tudong would increase a certain focal area the muslim religion and thus would lead to a question among religions saying " why can't i practice my religion when the muslims can?"

  • The government will surely emphasis on this to not allow them to wear to prevent any more of this in the future.

  • the school's decision to suspend the students for wearing headscarves is fair because if the school did not suspend the students , everyone will start to complain about them not able to wear a headscarf like some other people who thinks they are "COOL" wearing a headscarf for fun

  • the reason why singapore's government did not allow the students to attend school wearing a tudung was because the government did not wanted to spoil the common space in singapore by being biased to the other races and allowing the muslims to wear their tudung in sch . by showing the common space , this will be fair to all races in singapore .

  • 1.To make her a modest person in future.

    2.It is against school rules.

3.No,as it is insensative to the Muslim religion.

4.No as i think they went to protect their common space.

  • her father plays more emphasis on the islam teachings so that when she grows up, she will be a modest person, not forgetting her religion.

  • Because other races like Sikh were allowed cover their head , that's why malay muslim felt that they can put on their tudung on just like the sikh. Simply unfair.

  • Her father sent her to primary school wearing a tudong, because it is due to their religion. He parents want her to practice religion from young and also discipline her till she grow older.

  • They just being BIAS towards the religious.

It is not fair for the muslim.

I don't think that in future singapore government will allow MUSLIM girls to wear a tudung in school.

  • the singapore government did not allow muslim schoolgirls to wear their headscarf because it might make them distracted from their studies and make others complain about her able to wear a headscarf and then another case will go on and on

  • if they are allowed by the govt to wear the tudong then school would not be school. thus everyone would be wear things n say that" This is my religion. what what you aint happy?"

  • his father is cool and a religious person

  • Unfair and bias.

  • 1. Why did Nurul's father send her to a primary school wearing the tudung?

    2. Why did the Singapore's government not allow the students to attend school wearing tudung?

    3. Do you personally feel the school's decision was fair to suspend? Why?

    4. In future, dio you think government schools in Singapore would allow Muslim girls to don a tudung in school?

  • @Herosableng

    1. The are very religious. They are muslim.

    2. It would japerdise Singapore's racial harmony (which was said from someone from the video.

    3. I don't think it's fair. If the Sikh is allowed to wear their turban, I don't see why the muslim girls cannot be allowed to wear their tudung to school.

    4. I doubt so.

    -Fahmi

  • @Herosableng the father did that because he wants to practise the islamic religion.

the singapore government didnt allow it because they want to develop a common space in schools.

the school was very unfair because it was very biased as they singh religion was allowed to wear the turbans and the muslim girls was not allowed to wear the headscarf. it is very very biased.

yes i think they will and they should or there might be another racial riot in singapore like the maria hertogh riots in1950

  • @hafizzy95 the*

  • @Herosableng suspending was fair. basically singapore is mixed religion n race and harmony but we still want a place where all race n religion can get together. like a common space

  • UNFAIRRR

    BIASED

    AHHHHHH!!!!!

  • Because other races can wear something on their head like singh as a religious respect but muslim people are not allowed. That's why they find it unfair.

  • As this is part of their religious practice and they want the young to practice it early.

  • Her father put more emphasis on the muslim religion so that she will be modest when she grows up.

  • her father sent her to the school wearing a tudong because it was their religion and they want to let her start practice from young so that when she is older , she will know that it is for the religion

  • it was because the primary school did now allow her to wear her headscarf

  • BIASED !!!!

  • Hello Sec 4N3. Interesting video. Care to comment on religious sensitivities in 21stC Spore

  • Assalam aikum,Masha Allah, i like the steadfastness of the parents

May Allah the Almighty be with them.

And keep them steadfast. no matter the hardship they may

Go thought, this journey of Dunaya.it is counted days.

  • why all Muslim stay in Muslim country .. dont go to non Muslim country..erery country they go ..they claim their rights....n talk about democracy...can u get democracy in Islamic country..???

  • Comment removed

  • @hlaing74

can what about malaysia, malaysia is democracy country ,in fact malaysia is muslim country too !!!!:Xd

  • @hlaing74 dude you know nothing bout islamic country. Everyone can claims their right. Whats wrong with you. I believe you're not a person who believe in democracy. Irregardless of race, language and religion. That means all have rights!!! Whats with you?!!! Some sick joker !!

  • goverments should focus on more important tings than headscarf & religion Oo` let people choose what thei do... onli puinsh for what is due. goverments everi place are alwai a mess.. policies lah >.<` shouldbe friendly with nieghbouring countries too lol

  • Wow, I can't believe Singapore has the gut to stand up to the biggest cult in the world. Islam is babaric, violent and backward. It should be banned in any civilized society. Muslims are killing infidels and themselves (Sunnis vs. Shiits) all over the world. I respect all religions execpt Islam.

Islam is a sick and violent cult!

  • @ltsgt1 yet another ignorant guy yet lack of knowledge...and totally have no respect of Islam...u only knew islam through those stupid news and media...u are blinded by untrue talesall these while...pity u...your vulgarities shows that you have worst attitude and disrecpectful.

  • @PunaiCat Are you trying to tell me apostasy and blasphemy are not punishable by death in Sharia? When I didn't know anything about Islam, I thought it is just another religion no different from Mormon, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc..... However, the more I learn about Islam and the false prophet whom married an old woman for money and a 9 year old girl for sex, the more I despise the cult you call Islam. I respect all religions execpt Islam. It's an evil cult, not a religion.

  • @ltsgt1 hi !!!

  • so what the fuck with her parents choosing her to be like this?this is a mother's responsibility.you guys better get schooled or you gonna get raped in the later years

  • fuck islam...I have discriminated in fuking Malaysia...so shut the fuck up

  • @The123456han

I totally disagree on the actions taken by the parents and I'm a Muslim. You don't need to hail vulgarities on my faith.

  • @dreddlynn sorry, i just got angry.

  • My grandfather was Singapore citizen but when separation from Malaysia, he went to Malaysia. I regret it hmhmmm ... i want to go Singapore. Hate Malaysia ....

  • in my opinion, the parents should have sent the daughters to religious schools. a "secular" school has its limits.. but Sikhs and turbans.. i hope the government can justify why that is alright and why tudungs aren't.

  • In Singapore Schools, a Sikh can wear their turban (a religious sign/headgear), but a Muslim cannot wear scarf (a religious sign/headgear). BIAS at its peak.

  • @ratersgone1 yea cos most of singapore's politicians are chinese.

  • @Aydee2020 Yah, I agree. However, it is not required by Islamic laws for pre-pubescent girls to wear the tudung. So, up to individual perspective. However, U know lah. SG government is uptight lah.

  • @macrick what do u mean by uptight

  • @Aydee2020 Rigid

  • @macrick yea theyre very weak and cowardly.banning chewing gums and fireworks doesnt help at all

  • time 17:30

that is a real modern singapore muslim talking!

  • This is discrimination. How about christian school such as st gabriel ,st joseph and etc.All student from all wwalk of life must see the statue of joseph and see the christian banner. This prove they restrict freedom of religion to certain religion

  • he actually talking about the priorities of education over wearing hijab. It should not be an option at the first place!! learn to respect learn to value each other value learn to accept!! shouldn't be that hard. Unbelievable!!

  • and that guy in blue shirt with untidy neck tie has already lost his right/his value

  • Enough arguing on racial and religious issue here. First of all, everybody has their right to practice their traditions. To imposed penalty on this kid who had believe what they were practicing from younger age is right... is very wrong.

Again, this is not about religious/race this is about having their own rights. Ever heard of Human Rights? Use it.

  • cina BABI

korang carik pasal ngan melayu ngan islam la setan.

kau tengok KAU TENGOK satu hari nanti aku kelar korang sekor2

  • the hijab is not must on small girls, she can start wearing it when she attains puberty. its always better to explain the girls y wear hijab the reason behind it, n its better the teen girls fight for the right for hijab than their parents. so the government will have to accept it .

  • she is soo gonna be a slut lol

  • The girl did not choose this, her parents did.

  • @GodalonethroughQuran .bt her parent as her teacher

  • singapore was malaysia until white man gave it to you. singapore IS malaysia!

  • I'm Malay and I'm Singaporean. And I completely resent your comment. I will always be a Singaporean.

  • i admire singapore a lot, it's a very admirable country but what i've said is very true. singapore was part of Malaysia...

  • "singapore IS malaysia! "

The historical fact that Singapore was a part of Malaysia is undeniable, but I take issue with your use of the present tense.

I am Singaporean first, and only then Malay.

  • get out of singapore....the malaysian constitution also guarantees freedom of religion but the non muslims are oppresed in malaysia.

i am all for singapore muslims getting the right to wear their headcarf to school if non muslims in malaysia get to build their own temples and churches freely.

  • James, you know very well that the Msian Federal Govt oppresses anyone or any group who opposes them regardless of race, religion or gender. It's not just non muslims who r oppressed.

    Get ur facts right.

  • @brianexx

get your facts right too...It is the non muslims who are getting hit the worst.

  • singapore is diff frm malaysia ==

muslims and malays is like the dominant race/religion in malaysia...of course malays are given more freedom..its is kindda a malay/muslim society

however, singapore is soooo different. it has a multi cutural society. And they cant given special priviledges to a certain race, if they want to build a democratic society.

  • @xiaxue95 LoL, Singapore isnt a multi cultural society. It's a Chinese majority society. The gov now had made it a PRC Communist dominant society.

  • Haram is Haram.Halal is Halal.

I have 2 son that wears school bermudas and 1 daughter 'will not be' decently cover and without hijab once she goes to secondory school. Mungkar is all mine to take as I am the father who thech them from young the commands from Allah and yet bow to this world.

    Anyone cares to share.

  • Why the Seikh allowed to wear their turbans? This is because their MUFTI did his work. I salute them.

Why our daughters and sons could not get their right to cover aurat? Because the MUIS is very well provided. Mufti not doing his work. Who select him?????? He is 'your' Mufti, not mine.

It was all foul from the root.

Which part of the Islamic way MUIS is very active, organised and well inform? It is the Zakats collection part.

  • shut the fuck up....the sikhs have historically been allowed to wear their turban since historical times. and that wil be the only exception singapore can make. if you are not happy about singapore or muis then get the fuck out of singapore. singapore and muis don't really need you to survive.

  • I don't like the idea of kids wearing "different uniforms" when they go to primary or secondary school, but I think the guy has actually made a good point. If you're going to argue history, you should remember that everything has the potential to become history at some point. Special treatment for one group, when withheld from another group seeking the same concession, is unfairness.

  • all people just want power that's all....

  • Are we talking on human right or rather personel interest. Fikir2kan la

  • ones a tree grows is hard to bend into one shape or another so is better to fix it when its young

  • it's not fard to cover a child's head.

if this was about high school it's a different story but she's just a little girl. don't make something compulsory what isn't!

and it's just a hijab/tudung/headscarf, no school is going to collapse if girls start wearing it! My country girls wear it in public schools and no one cares!

  • solution: 1) madrasahs 2) international schools 3)go to malaysia/indonesia

    problem solved.

  • its compulsory when a muslim reach puberty to cover thier modesty.. for men from thier navel to below thier knees. n 4 women everything xcept face n hands.. this is not optional.. kids in secondary sch shud b allowed the hijab.. im sure the other non muslim kids would understand.. not every1 could afford to send thier children to a madrassah.. every1 shud b allowed to have the freedom to practice his/her religion in this country.. we r a multi racial+religious nation..

  • I agree with winxrox. I think the parents will have to make a choice Between education (which is important) and wearing tudungs. . I mean, if you should choose to go to the school (or any school in Singapore) it should be known that the school rules are fundamental values that should be upholded in the school and henceforth, the parents should abide by should they want their daughters to attend school.

  • Come on guys, just allow the headscarf. Whats the big deal? Religion in the schools will help increase morality. Its a good thing.

  • Please, whoever is the owner of the video, do ban comments.

  • why

  • I'm not saying that this right is not important, it is, but this will open the floodgates to all other forms of religious expression in schools, and this will emphasise the differences, not similarities of the different ethnic groups, defeating the purpose of the uniform. Besides, if parents need to teach their daughters to be accustomed to wearing the tudung, they are allowed to do so after school, so may I know why Malay girls need to wear the tudung in primary school (school hours are short)?

  • Malaysia SHOULDN'T be involved in this. Yes, Singapore and Malaysia are close geographically and historically, and the lives of Singaporeans and Malaysians are in a way, "connected". However, Malyasia is all about Malays rights, hence if Malaysians fight for this case, they would do so for the interests of the Malays and their right to practise their religion.

  • @eleraine

Nobody cares about your opinion you retarded cunt eyed mongoloid

  • respect, respect the education system!!!

  • striving in the way of allah comes in many forms. may allah bless all who fear allah and do what they do for his pleasure. i support these ppl my muslim brothers and sisters in this effort. in the end they will be successful if the niyah is correct. OH YEA I'M FROM THE USA AND MY WIFE IS FROM SINGAPORE. ALLAHU AKBAR

  • This is Singapore, not Malaysia or Indonesia. Here in Singapore, we practice the England education system - secular and equal.

  • I wish we're like that in Malaysia. Coming from a Malay

  • I feel that it is unfair for parents to deprive their children of their education. It is important to note that the parents did not consult the views and opinions of their child when they withdrew them from their school.

Not wearing a tudung for a mere 6-8hrs in sch does not make you less faithful or less islamic at all. Being a faithful practitioner of your faith does not entail merely to your outwardly appearance. God looks at the heart of every practitioner.

  • they steal singapore from malay

  • We stole Malaya from orang aslis. Read a history book. This world is filled with theives. And so are you ancestors. Fuck you

  • proof? one land not necessarily have only one indigenous race!

  • Read a bloody history book you dumb fuck. The internet is filled with information you fuck. The negritos came first then the senoi then the "pure" blooded proto-malays, then us mixed blooded deutero-malays. We're mixed blooded. Fuck you. Remember your history kid. We came, we raped, we enslaved. If it wasn't for the british, we would still have slavery because it is "adat". Go read a history book you racist bitch.

  • so what if we are race mixed? so what if we did rape, slave and plunder? you're such a sensitive little bitch, aren't you? just shove your fancy genealogical terminologies up your ass, you leftist dipshit.

  • So what you asked? Whether or not our fathers did bad things, the new generation aren't born with the sins of our fathers. Do not corrupt them with your hate. Stop living in the past where vikings ruled. The future (that is globalization) has no place for fuckers like you.

  • lol what is it with you liberals and fucking? is it a constant need?? are you so insecure of yourself that you need something in such vulgar excesses to block out the very realities of existence such as race and pride..? where vikings ruled. only juveniles could conjure up such shallow sarcasm. whatever, bitch. enjoy the last days of your semester break. some people have jobs to attend to in the morning.

    piss off.

  • The irrationality of racism never seem to amaze me. Wanting your people to be left behind by regulating freedom because it destroys culture. Fascist. Why have pride in your people? We were left behind. Europeans actually helped us out by introducing new technologies. Look through the colours then you would see then not all chinese, indians, or aslians are bad. World intergration now! Can't help myself from typing in a slogan =P

  • Couldn't you do better than just dumb ad hominem attacks? Yeah I'm young don't listen to me then. Very smart. But what do you expect, fascists are dumb. BASH THE FASH! ;p

  • "wanting your people to be left behind"?! "not all chinese etc. are bad"?! thats the problem with being young; you assume, assume, assume. my bestest (and yes i know it isn't proper grammar, but you probably couldn't tell, anyway) friend in the world is telugu indian and he doesn't have a problem with nazis. world integration now? make no mistake about it, i am going to kill you given the chance.

  • You asked for proof. And I gave it to you. And now you're covering up your eyes and pretending like it's not there. Fuck off.

  • proof my ass. dumb kid. i am so going to harass you all year long so you'll flunk your spm..

  • Haha.. like I care. You're wasting your time ;p. I'll block you you dumb fuck hahaha

  • cheap. i'm gonna track you down anyway. good luck.

  • bible clearly said that every women must wearing a headscarf/veil ..y u christian ddnt follow ur Holy book?

  • That's a lie. Nowhere in the Bible does it say women must wear headscarves.

  • No that's not a lie. The bible does indeed say you must wear a headscarf.

"If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head"

    Bible 1 Corrinthians 11:3-6

Just goes to show you the lack of knowledge Christians have these days.

  • @macnos THey are Muslims

  • @macnos

Its not a lie. Apparently you do NOT read your own bible.

    [1 Corin. 11:5]

But any woman who prays and prophecies with her head unveiled dishonors her head - it is the same as if her head were shaven, for if a woman will not veil herself then she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil.

  • @macnos pls read 1 Corin 11:5, the woman must always cover her hair cus Christ taught us in Luke 18:1 to always pray so she must always cover

  • now they are feeling the pain the malaysian indian and chinese feel in Malaysia better tell the malaysia syariah court off not to involve the non-muslims

  • WHETHER they commit sins or not in the end of the day it is they themselves will answer god

every human will answer god personally not the parents

  • muslims are a danger any where they go!

  • Does wearing a Scarf make any difference, I dont think so, Democratic countries should allow people to follow their way of livin life, I dont think that this adds to any kind of racial segregation, i have been to singapore couple of times and have seen many muslim women wear the head scarf, Hindu women wear bindi on their forehead, Thy r just followin their faith and no1 can stop thm from followin their faith and traditions.

  • If Singapore is so particular abt ppl folwin their religion thn why dont thy bcom communist just like China where people cant follow or preach any religion, or just ask the law makers to denounce their own religion to be fair.

  • stupid

    Democratic country is one thing

    Multiracial country is another matter

Multiracial counrty is a bit dangerous when you bring any religious issue

And why in Saudi Arabia nobody cannot wear bindi, cross or other religious items with them???

  • the only one that discriminate their daughter is the parents themselves. what's the problem with them?

  • oh man, the govt thinks if u wear tudong/ scarf, it wud differ to the others....well its obvious already they're malay muslim who wish to wear tudong, is dat hard to swallow? say it str8 forward, if u dont like malay ladies wearing tudong, dont behind their back, u call he malay as extremist, well, in fact, everyone is extremist!! the sense of racist is in every one's heart.....huh dont try to hide it...

  • all this over hijab? my country is 12% muslim and there's no big fuss over hijab, just that ur not allowed to ewar in christian or hindu schools, which i can understadnd!

It's just hijab! this is silly! btw, those girls are just children, they don't need to wear it...but high school, let them! y all the fuss over something so trivial?

  • You are very right. I am mulim and, a child does not have to wear hijab untill they are in puberty typicly at the age of 12, so why all the fuss. But you must also take into consideration that even though a reason for this law is given, it still seems slightly racisit. You must also take into consideration that if the parents will send that child to school with no hijab for 5 or 6 years, then it will be much more difficult to enforce the hijab when the child is older.

  • Hello, can someone please tell me if the headscarf / hijab is still banned in Singaporean schools? Also, is it banned in the workplace or anywhere else as well?

    Thanks

  • -continued-

If he wants his 7yr old daughter to wear the headscarf why doesn't he just send her to a local islamic school? i know people from these schools who go to polytechnics and universities after.

i am, however, quite impressed with the 3rd family. she went to regular school until she reached puberty, then took private o levels. sad really, but yet also very admirable. Sure beats sitting around throwing tantrums.

ok that's all. i'm not trying to be mean or anything.

  • i think that the 1st family is quite unfair. the girl is extremely young, and she doesn't even get to have a normal childhood. the worst part is, it's not even her choice to wear the headscarf in the 1st plce. she doesn't even have to, since she hasn't reached puberty. her father didn't want her to "become wayward". thing is, i know a LOT of kids who grew up in conservative homes and then rebel when they're older, becoming much more "wayward".
