  • I really wish this had been a real book. I would have paid good money for it.

  • This is where the bike company Surly Bikes got the name for their 29er... The Karate Monkey. Great clip.

  • JIMMY JAMES HAS FANCY PLANS!! And pants to match. That line made me cry with laughter. Cry.

  • Please publish Jimmy James Moncho Donkey Wrestler on. I want to read the rest of the book, lol.

  • i like the part when the man asking question like whats is it that you said donkey donkey donkey

  • Glorious sunset of my heart was fading. Soon the super karate monkey death car would park in my space. But Jimmy has fancy plans! And pants to match.

  • THIS IS FUKIN COMEDY..Too bad the show lost so much after Phil Hartman's death..

  • omfg i love this show, been watching since i was like 10 sooo funny this is one of my favorite scenes

  • "But Jimmy has fancy plans!.......and pants to match." Lines like this--the whole speech, really---are staple quotes in our "hut". Something lost in translation? A thousand times NO!

  • i used to work for a japanese company and our instruction manual read a lot like that.

    "use your both hand"

  • Brian Posehn back when he took obscure roles.

  • Ron Jeremy in the audience

  • FEEL MY SKILLS DONKEY DONKEY DONKEY DONKEY

IM SUPER KARATE MONKEY DEATH CAR

  • What's the name of the actor at 0:21 introducing Steven Root's character? Sorry, I don't watch the show but that guy looks so familiar. Is it Chris Elliot? It doesn't sound like him.

  • @caeseroct0 David Gruber Allen.

  • @caeseroct0 Check IMDB. His name is Dave Allen(I).

  • What the hell is Ron Jeremy doing in the audience!

  • @AJoeProduction enjoying himself???

  • Sweet! brian posehn! :)

  • All Jimmy James base belong to us.

  • This broke my brain. This was literally the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life...I was laughing so hard no sound was coming out.

  • i would actually read that book.

  • Love Dave "Gruber" Allen

  • ...but Jimmy has fancy plans...and pants to match.

  • I love how both Ron Jeremy AND Brian Posehn are in the audience. (Posehn is the one who asks him the question at the end of the scene...)

  • Because the Japanese version of the book sold really well, but the original English sold poorly, so he figured if he translated it back into English from Japanese it'd ultimately sell better in English-speaking countries.

  • So, it was written in English, translated into Japanese, and then translated from Japanese back into English?? I understand they did that for the joke, but why wouldn't he just use the original version he wrote in English??

  • because then it wouldn't be funny.

  • You like to know stuff better than "the other guy" don't you.

  • Ummmmm, yes??

  • This is one of the funniest scenes of any sitcom I have ever seen.

  • he plays along till the end and then you can see him give up, letting the air out of his lungs and dropping his shoulders as to give up. CLASSIC !

  • Haven't seen this in years! I remember watching the reruns late at night when I was 15. This is still the funniest sitcom skit I've ever seen; makes me laugh everytime!

  • One of my favorite scenes of a great show.

  • 1:56 i love the way he says "But Jimmy has fancy plans!"

  • that is funny

  • Feel my skills, donkey, donkey, donkey, donkey!

  • american yum yum clown monkey!....... Awesome, want one of those

  • Bad clown making like super American car racers. I would make them sweat.

  • Does anyone know the deal behind the gag with Bill saying to Joe; "You're Last name's Gurrereli?"

  • Everyone ask's that to Joe at some point in the series. In the pilot, the station's electrician was played by a different character.

  • I remember that guy, good thing they replaced him.

  • luckily for him he got to play the photographer on Just Shoot Me

  • @Grahf That was a running joke throughout the entire series.

  • ron jeremy in the house

  • Best show ever.

  • That Super Karate Monkey Death Car line was a long running joke on this show. They didn't do it alot. I remember an episode where Lisa says her younger brother made a video game called Super Karate Monkey Death Car.

  • Stephen Root cracks me up every time. How he throws that speech is just... flawless. Now, what an actor!

  • I was in the studio audience during the taping of this episode. The best part was in between set ups, Phil Hartman would occasionally come up into the seats and improv for a few minutes. The best part I remember is when he would imitate President Clinton and hit on various women. Awesome.

  • RIP. Phill Hartman.

I saw an out-take, where Dave, says to Phil, by accident, (while walking out of the Office, in character,) "Good-Night Phil.", and Phil, with incredably subtle humour, responds, "Good-Night, Dave.".

  • @designguy65 you are in your 40's and you are still camping outside comic book events

  • @designguy65 you lucky bastard!

  • @designguy65 You sat in THE Super Karate Monkey Death Car during this taping? I can only say I am in direct Envy, as with the lineage of a Ducal Estate's fertility, twirling royally in children's elegance.

  • Feel my scales, donkey donkey donkey donkey donkey.

    LMFAO.

i miss this show so much

  • Seems reminiscent of the Monty Python routine where John Cleese would do his nonsensical speech.

  • This is the funniest clip of any citcom I've seen. We love it.

  • Rocketfuel malt liquor DAMN !!!!

  • @sr51463 It's cr-ZAPPY!!

  • @sr51463

    it's crappizzle!

  • The monkey, clown, horrible, karate, round and yummy...

  • This clip is priceless. I remember when I first saw it... I couldn't stop laughing. One of the funniest scenes in television sitcom history.

  • That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it.

  • We have reruns in the Netherlands <3 YEAH! NewsRadio is the best show every made <3

  • Right up there with the funniest scenes in sitcom history.

  • Heh! The guy who introduced Jimmy James was a counselor on Freaks and Geeks!

  • He also plays a hippie on King of the Hill. I think he's in a band as well.

  • jibbajabbaxxx, he plays Bill on King of the Hill and lends his voice to others. Bill was a hippy for a short time in one episode but he is also an Army barber by trade.

  • I cant even begin to think of anything funnier, does anyone know anything about reruns?

  • i was in a band for a little bit called super karate monkey death car...we got an email from Newsradio writer Lewis Morton complementing our name...Stephen Root is one of my favorite actors...I wish he'd have his own show...

  • Will never understand why this show wasn't more popular...better than anything on the air now...

  • just so damn funny XD, i like how that one guy seriously starts asking questions about it :P

  • My ALL TIME favorite scene from that show! I cry laughing everytime. I miss this show.

  • mine, too! i haven't seen this in like, 10 years. i am dying right now!

    war. war.

  • seconded only by the scene where Jimmy is in a hospital bed in the break room. 2 Things I love about that episode: where Dave does both sides of the conversation, complete with Jimmy's non sequiturs, and when he wakes up and starts reciting the argument Dave and Lisa had about having a baby.

This episode and this scene is my all time favorite, though. That and at the end when Dave and Jimmy are having sushi in Japan, and there are screaming fans outside the window.

  • But jimmy Has fancy plans and pants to match.lol

  • ohh, why did this show end?

    pure genius!

  • Cause Phil passed away...

  • His life mirrors my life in so many ways.

  • A THOUSAND TIMES NO!

Hahahaha so awesome. If more shows were written this well, the writers strike would be over already, and they'd all be driving solid gold Ferrari's.

  • Oh God, I am in tears.

    Pure class.

  • I will make them sweat! WAR WAR!!

  • SUPER KARATE MONKEY DEATHCAR!!! You bastards. Super - Karate - Monkey - Deathcar.

  • But Jimmy has fancy plans! Brilliant. Yeah Brain Posehn.

  • And pants to match!

  • I just saw this episode today. It made me buy Seasons 3 and 4. I remember watching this show back in the day. Great times. XD

  • Translate a Japanese webpage to get similar results.

  • The best scene of the entire awesome show. Sums up the awesomeness quite awesomely. Donkey donkey donkey donkey donkey.

  • The funny part is "super karate monkey death car" was the name of the video game that Lisa's brother invented and sold to Microsoft.

  • Ron Jeremy is in the audience!!

  • One of the funniest programs...EVER! :) Thanks for posting this.

  • I have modeled my life off of this clip.

  • Jimmy has fancy plans... and pants to match.

    Pure brilliance!

  • I love this show, although I did stop watching after Phil Hartman died. This series has to be some of his best work.

  • The laughter girds my monkey-strong bowels with strength, like the loins of a dragon ribboned with fat and the opulence of buffalo dung.

  • How I love Newsradio! Must buy DVDs! Super Karate Monkey Death DVDs!

  • classic classic classic...it never gets old!

  • Just so you all know Newsradio is back on TV. Its on from 2-6 am on nick at night. Also on at 4am on Saturdays and Sundays on nick at night.

  • Lmao.

  • You have just GOT to respect Stephen Root's acting, and his ability to get through enough takes with a straight face. I couldn't, no matter how many times I tried.

  • Damn this clip! I made the mistake of watching it at work and I started laughing like a madman. I think my coworkers think I'm nuts now.

  • I love Brian Posehn.

  • Yes donkey donkey donkey! A thousand times yes! I've been wanting to see this again forever, just as funny every time!

  • I love this so much! feel my skills donkey donkey donkey donkey donkey

  • ... but Jimmy has fancy plans! And pants to match.

  • thanks for this, it was the best moment EVER on newsradio.
