Turns out the game is still actually the best, factamundo. I've been playing bits of it with pes 2008 and SWOS wins hands down. Wish I had my old amiga to compare. Still, compare throwing your pad at the screen following a last minute penalty conceded by a player you weren't even controlling, versus grinning inanely for the duration of the game, and you have your answer.

I just down loaded the trailer for the game from xbox live. The description says you can manage a team for a season , so does this mean the 20 season career isn't going to make the Xbox live version anymore?

Apparantly, we should expect an end of September release. My friend who has been working on it has suggested that most of the bugs are gone, and they are getting rid of them at a good pace.

A few last minute changes, and then there's Microsoft submission to go through - happens with a lot of games. We were hopeful for the 29th but now it looks more like September.

Continued...I would like to hear the crowd on your back if you had a bad run of results in the career mode or cheering you if you are doing well. I would also like to see the net ripple when the ball hit the net with speed. Not massive changes really because the games great already but just little tweaks really.

I have a couple of suggestion for the future if Codemasters do download any updates. What I would love to see is a more interactive crowd that would boo you when your team were playing badly and go wild when you score a last minute goal. I would like to be able to see the crowd going crazy and the away fans holding there heads in disappointment.

I am looking forward to downloading this game from XBOX LIVE but I was wondering will it still have the 20 season career mode available? Not true, I was born in 1991 and have still been able to find the brilliant joys of which Sensible Soccer is. I had PES4 at the time of getting my hands on SWOS only to stop playing PES completly whenever mates came round. The joy of curling in a goal just past the half way line with only a few minutes left in a tight game is magic.

Yes, there's shadows visible when using the HD graphics. Obviously a lot has changed since that concept shot was released but the game's new HD graphics are shaping up quite nicely.

There was never mud on the sliding tackles in SWOS, you're thinking of football glory, which was basically a rip off of SWOS but with extra animations.

We've added mud slides as part of the HD graphical update in SWOS (which you can switch on and off BTW) - they just weren't apparent in that video :)

When I added that comment I had only just heard about SWOS 2007. I have since done lots of reading, must say Im really excited about it.

Ive been playing Sensi Soccer since the start, a 1 goal demo on a cover disk. Ive had several versions, and can honestly say I've spent more hours on SWOS than any other game.

I really hope this lives up to the expectations. I hope itll come to XP too, if it does I shall certainly buy it
