  • @harrilurvsponies ..... I had a major concussion back in 2007 ironically after riding 16yr without a helmet I was hit in the head with a tree limb. As for being sorry I could of given a shit less the drugs they gave me made getting shot look like a paper cut! Thanks for the compliment though!

  • What a gorgeous horse!!! <333

  • @SaddleNoSturrups Thank you!!!

  • You did a good job on that jump! Now if I was riding the horse I usually ride, he'd freak out and think "OMIGOD!! SO SOLID!! THAT JUMP IS SO SCARY!! RUNNNN!!!" and I'd be tossed in a second :)

  • @MagnoliaDreaming Yes it is!! That theres suthern talk! Kind like git r done and ya'll!!

  • @JackaCrack1 Sorry, but "suthern talk" will get you no where in life. And don't try to tell me about "suthern talk", either. I'm from southern Louisiana. You can't get much further south than me...

  • @JackaCrack1 Southerner people are stupid. Stupid people who are racists. And don't argue with that one since the people in the south discriminated and enslaved black people.

  • @NewYorkandDCTrip ...wait you really need to go back and study your history before speaking like the village idiot, african americans sold there own brothers into slavery. The SLAVE SHIPS were run and manned by blacks NOT whites, they brought there own brother and country men to America to be sold for profit. So by technicality southerns never enslaved the blacks they enslaved themselves. And it wasn't just the south by the way there were other who did the same the north participated as well.

  • @JackaCrack1 Actually most of what you said is not true. I've studied American history for years now, and the only part of what you said was true is 'And it wasn't just the south by the way there were other who did the same the north participated as well.'

All the rest of what you said; bullshiit.

  • @JackaCrack1 Did you know that the man who started the whole "git r done" thing is actually not from the south? He's from the middle of Nebraska.

  • @shinytrombone11 ....There is a new song from Brantley Gilbert called Country must be country wide. Welllll there ya go, you can be country no matter where you are from.

  • @JackaCrack1 i love southern talk

  • @bunnyandponylove Thanks, I can ditch the accent if I am doing a seminar or major speech but for the most part I like and am comfortable with it!

  • You are REALLY good for never having a lesson! what did the drunk do to him :(

  • @hardhorserider1122 tried to ride him )-: it didn't go well and pissed gideon off more than anything!

  • Great job,next do it without a bridle :).

  • @animalwisperer I would love to but gideo is lame now due to some A holes hoping the fence at our farm drunk and messing with him

  • @Elerian17 Come ride my horse without a bridle and then criticize someone's riding! If you think that you are so good then upload a video with you jumping bareback and without a bridle! A good rider is not the one that can ride bareback or without a bridle! A good rider is the one that cares for his horse and it's well being! It doesn't matter in you can or can't ride your horse tackless! It is the way that you feel about your horse that makes you a good rider!

  • @darkladywolf You misunderstood me... I dont say that a good rider is only that one, who rides without tack! But if the question is that, yes, I can jump saddleless and brideless (and I believe your horse could too, if you took time to train it patiently). And I completely agree with the second half of your comment, of course. ;-)

  • @Elerian17 No, no! You misunderstood me too! My horse is trained of course! But he is a friesian gelding and he can be difficult sometimes!

  • @darkladywolf That and the respect for other riders, the things is that coming on here and dissing or thinking you KNOW people is just shit. I don't see ANY major trainers or riders on here trying to play up what they know or can do. You respect other riders just as much as you want to be respected.

  • @JackaCrack1 I don't understand what you really mean but my intentions were not to criticize or insult anyone. What I said wasn't said in a negative way. Maybe you misunderstood my intentions. I did no try to brag about anything. I am, of course, not perfect my self. I don't try to show off any knowledge I might have. I merely expressed my opinion on something that matters to me. If I insulted you or anyone else in any way then I am really sorry.

  • @Elerian17 For some people making it over a jump properly with saddle and all is an achievement.

Maybe at whatever level you're at this isn't one, but perhaps for her level its a huge one :)

  • @xXTonkaTruckerXx Of course, of course, I understand your point - but I dont know, when I first have jumped with no saddle, I havent had a feeling it was something GREAT - it was great for me, but not fgreat in general - you know what I mean... ;-) And the girl in the video has such a good seat, I dont suppose it was something challeninging for her.

  • @xXTonkaTruckerXx Some people are never satisfied and just like to brag!! It is cool though!

  • again, AWESOME riding, love your horse, love that jump!

  • I lobe your horse. He's/she's so cute!!!! And well done with the jump =D

  • @XxPonymadgirlXx Thanks he is a handful at time but I love him!

  • Y-E-A-H! You go, woman!

  • @AdamsApple1963 I didn't know this was on here didn't get a notice but thanks Adam!!

  • @JackaCrack1 Yvw...great to hear from you again, too!

  • @AdamsApple1963 IF I could I would sing it's been a bit crazy song and dance a little jig to it! Sadly though right now I can't move due to 4hrs of homework in front of the comp and I still have a test coming up!! SOooooo UGH! Hopefully I can get some video up soon but I doubt it!

  • @JackaCrack1 lol...ah, yes, schoolwork's gotta come first. Well, good luck with all that. Take your time with adding some more stuff on here.

  • @AdamsApple1963 I just wish the school work was as easy as the vids.

  • @JackaCrack1 lol...I hear ya...well, good luck with the schoolwork, anyways.

  • LOL the girl in the backround " Yippy!" is so cute and funny, Wow, thats a big jump!

  • LOL thanks pinto! And yeah she is a trip to ride with!!

  • Omg I'm so jealous of your horse. It looks like a light palomino but sorry if I'm wrong, the picture isn't too clear. Anyway that's my favorite horse colour.

  • lol yeah Gideon is a palomino! Usually he gets darker in the summer but this was just out of spring so he hadn't had a chance to be in the sun and I guess rippen up! We also feed him a little paprika (1/2tsp) to help darken him up!!

  • so you have no trainer at all?

ha i think imma be like you, like learning by myself..... i dont think my dad would wanna waste money on a trainer when he says i can learn myself XD

  • I don't think a lot of people appreciate how rich there parents must be because I know it nearly BROKE my parents to pay for my horse alone, as for now as an adult it nearly BREAKS me to pay for just board!! So yeah learning on your own does work and you can be a amazing rider with nothing more then arming yourself with knowledge and watching others!

  • yeah exactly i mean my horse is my backyard kind of thing but my dad still had to pay to make the stables and stuff. i actually practectly learned to ride myself(except for a couple tips from my neighbor)and now im having to break my horse to be ridable for now she has the basics once spring comes ill see if i can get help from my neighbor to put her on saddle(once again my dad wont want to waste money on that)plus i think you can get more experience with horses when your around them for so long

  • Go to as many shows as you can even if your not riding in them, what how they place there legs, how there hips move, hands positioned and memorize it all. Watch every TV show they have on horses, learn all different styles. READ A LOT on dressage and how to transition from one speed to the next and learn the importance of control.

  • the thing is that i dont think they have dressage or jumping shows here where i live, but yeah books would help, and internet XD thanks

  • REALLY?!?! That stinks beyond belief is there area within resonable traveling distance that you could go to, to see some shows? If not then see if you can find some of the shows on DVD the thing is that watching people who are jumping 4ft and up is different from jumping cross rails and 2ft so that kind of stinks oh well yo uwill deff work through it!!

  • ahha poor boy. Ive been hearing that it helps that if your hair color matches your horses' hair color but i dont think that its true. I guess i looked pretty weird than riding a black mare .. lol is that the only horse you own ?

  • no I have another but he is blind now and well I have pretty much retired him to the rare trail ride. Doc is an amazing horse but he is getting up in age. As for hair color HA! Doc has a black mine and I use to be a bleach blonde and we were a amazing team! I prefer team black anyways!!

  • yes. my friend that rides with me always asks me why i dont like chestnut horses .. im not against them or anything , ive just seen soo many . You should see how crazy i go when i see a palomino advertisement at a tack shop. Its hilarious but they are truly beautiful horses . and their is also this little handful palomino at a barn where i ride at, but when im around him he's so calm and sweet. Maybe its becuz im blonde and we have connections ;) take care of him ! hes amazing.

  • BUH HAHAHA~ I love the idea that being blonde helps, I am a dirty blonde! I never thought of it in that way but man your right! Maybe he does like that I am blonde! He is kind of pissed at me right now, he got a bath today and then it started raining, he HATES water! So he is NOT a happy camper! And again Thank you!

  • im soo jelly of your palomino ! ive ALWAYS wanted one either than the usual chestnut horsees .

  • Thanks YOU!!!! He is a hand full but fun and they are a gorgeous breed ! And have the advantage of standing out at show!

  • Good job! I don't wear my helmet sometimes on hot days.. it's your choice ^^

  • heheh cute barebak is the best aint it? :)

  • Heck yes it is!!! Thanks!

  • is this ur own property ? :P

  • that was good

i dont jump i ride western pleasure

    but

    u were good

    :)

  • Thank you!!

  • omg, that was awesome!

  • Oh Thank you!! 0o0 ^_^

  • He looks like he loves to jump!

  • Gideon seems to like it till a certain height once you go beyond 3'7 he is done and wants to do nothing more! But yes at this height he LOVES it!

  • Thank you!

  • Your horse is soo cute! And nice job jumping that. I wish I could jump like that bareback... =)

  • Thank You!! He can be the best horse or the worst nightmare but I have to admit most of the time I trust him!

  • THANK YOU! he can be a great horse! That and he has little whither bone!

  • Great position at 0:02 over the jump :)

  • Thank you! I am doing my best to hold my position and be sure to give with my hands!

  • weehee!! looks like fun lol

  • LOL it was great! i got lucky I found out the place we are at now DOES have REALLY nice jumps. Its just they haven't been used in close to 15years, but there still in good shape just in need of a paint job! SO YA!!!!!!

  • I love that jump.. you look so good over it too..shame on you for not wearing a helmet..lol

  • I know its horrid, but sadly I am very serious when I say that with school, car payments, insurance, rent, utilities, not to mention, feed, vet bills, and climbing hay prices we are crap out of luck when it comes to buying new equip and sense the lady at the tack shop said its useless to buy a used helmet I am just going naked right now.

  • that's true.. a used helmet can do more damage then good..

    i'm sure your careful..so I won't b....lol

oh on hay prices have you tried switching to beet pulp..i had my horse on that for almost a year..no hay.. if you take like 3 scoops beet pulp.. 3 huge coffee cans full..and mix it with 3 buckets water..and add your feed to that..let it set over night.. in a muck bucket..that will give your horse a forage all day..it took my horse 24 hrs to eat one serving and it keeps the weight on them.

  • Then that is what I will start doing, since the hay they are getting STILL doesn't seem to be keeping weight on them. I am really worried about docs weight for sure! I am adding more corn oil and going straight to senior feed no sweet feed. I don't do much of anything anymore with my son and school work! I want SO bad to go back out and ride SOOOO bad! Hopefully I will get the chance soon!

That and beet pulp feels cool!

  • yeah and you won't have to worry about them dehadrating during the summer or winter.. if you have freezing at night you can make it the day of..with warm water and that will help keep thier bodies warm during the day..

i put in a scoop of senior, 1/2 scoop 5 way sweet feed (great stuff), 1 scoop horse chow 100, and 1 scoop obti-bran performance horse..

of course it's all mixed into a huge tub..and then fed to my horse..I only feed once a day.. of course feed all depends on the horse.

  • I would love to feed twice a day but there is no way I can get out to the barn to do that so once a day is it for me. Gas is killer right now, key to why we are screwed on hay! We have switched pastures though! The new place we are at we took down the fence between the two pasture so now they have a stalls to go into and they have really tall grass so hopefully that will help as well! Though I still worry about doc dehydrating since being blind he has to learn again where the water trough is

  • wow thats is so good :) Did you say you've never had a lesson? your really good ;) x

  • OH no no no no no!!! sry that is a huge misunderstanding LOL!! I use to train with one of the biggest trainers in upstate SC! But she moved from our barn and I became pregnant so, just within the last 2yrs or more I haven't had a trianer! WElll its more 3yrs now since this vid is kind of old?? But thank you anyways!!

  • that was really nice!!!! great rider and VERY pretty horse!!! i don't think people should be telling you to wear a helmet. i mean they don't even know you!!! all i can say is be careful and keep up the good work!!!

  • Thank you! He is a really smooth horse! So he is just a nice ride! And you know I don't mind wearing a helmet its just that I don't always think of it or about it.

  • I have these big goofey "wrap around your head alien" headphones, how can one wear a helmet?

  • I agree! I like my mp3 player so how can I wear my comfy headphones if the helmet is in the way?

  • right, and if im gonna die riding a horse I'll be damned if I can't listen to my favorite song while I do so! Goddamit

  • 3 days grace would be nice to die to, or beyonce If I was a boy!!!! And sure as hell not going out with helmet hair LOL

  • Amen to that!

  • tsk tsk.... wear a helmet I know wat u said in the description but one of my former trainers fell off and is still unconsious n this happened about 2 years ago! ) : You have really good form and so does ur horse though! I love palominos! Good jump!

  • Its kind of a mut point right now the helmet I have if I wore it and fell off it would do as much harm as good.(this is coming from our family doc)And the cheapest helmet I can find locally was 98$ I DEF do not have that I can barely afford pasture board. I can understand the need for safety but every fall I have taken its never my head that has been hurt, my hand broken, a rib kicked, my knee kicked, arm stepped on, etc. ~shruggs~ If I can find a comfy helmet I will try to wear it.

  • You have such great form while riding over jumps! I cant even imagine how great you can ride with a saddle! Excellent job :)

  • Thanks you SO much!! I have to say I will miss my old english saddle but sadly I am having to sell it. Since I don't show anymore and I don't really need the saddle it was better to get rid of it and use the money on something we need.

  • Yeah I understand. Still, it must have taken a lot of practice to be able to ride bareback like that. The other day I just got on my new horse bareback for the first time and all I could do was WALK! I felt so wimpy, but considering he is an off the track (NEWLY off the track) TB, I felt it was an accomplishment within itself. As for the helmet thing, I think its a personal desicion and it is no one elses but yours. Keep up the awesome riding!

  • Ouch Ouch Ouch the last off the track I rode was SKINNY and his wither bone HURT oh man it HURT! YEah doing more than walk on him was asking for trouble which sadly we did anyways. And I ended up on my back with a headache lol!! It was still fun and at least that time I had a helmet on.

  • Yeah my boy is VERY skinny...he needs to gain a good 100-150lbs before he will be "normal" but since I was only walking it was okay. Hopefully soon he will be nice and plump and then we can try more than just walking!

  • way cool id love to jump bare back!

  • Its wicked fun and a great way to learn balance!

  • if i get over my problens with my horse at the moment it'll be on my to do list :)

  • It took 1 1/2yrs on doc and 2yrs on gid before I got up bareback. Doc was just WAY too fast and gideon had some odd tricks up his sleeve.

  • What the hell are those sounds??

  • Thats a girl that rides with us she is kind of slow and when she gets excited she squels, grunts, etc

  • You have some good fun there...*jealeous* :))

  • when tornados arn't tearing threw the county lol yeah we do!

  • oops my comment got posted twice.

  • really awesome horse!! i love the horses that look out for you. I have a Quarter horse that i have a great bond with. I love him. (i have a fjord too.. i have a short clip of her on here go check it out)

  • really cool horse!!! i love horses that will look after you, and that you have connections with. I have a Quarter horse and he is such a good horse always looks out for me. (i have a fjord too.. i have short video clip of her.. go check it out)

  • I like the fjords because there hardy! I have ridden quite a few horses that there only goal was to get you off there back so they either don't have to work, just a bad attitude, or want that piece of grass/hay/feed you won't let them have and to get 2 horses in one lifetime to really love and want to take care of you is a godsend!

  • you spelled professional wrong....

  • yeah this thing doesn't have spell check on it so whine whine!

  • I LOVE ur riding it rocks!! i can see u really connect with our horses!!nd i just love those kindz of horses that look out for you! for me thats the best part about riding is trusting your horse!

    great video tho!!! :D

  • LOL! I SO AGREE! I love that my horse looks out for me and that we connect that there is more between us then just work, and riding. He is my partner through and through THANKS!

  • oops "your"**

  • I LOVE JUMPING BAREBACK!! the only way to do it in my opinion ^^ and i look just like that when i jump bareback and people always bitch at me abut it so, i feel you on the 'people need to shut up' rule

  • I agree! There are thousands of diffrent styles of riding! WHO THE HELL ever said what was right and what was wrong? I LOVE bareback and I think my horse appreciates it as well!

  • He is a great jumper. heart just go for the jump. true jumper right there

  • He really surprised me when we first got him he was NUTS! Didn't want to canter threw his head ALL over the place, would rear, stop for no reason, not go the way you directed him. When we tried jumping I thought oh god this is going to be a disaster. But in the truth he turned out to love it!

  • Naw, so jealous. Lol. My horse hates bareback.

  • Really?? Why?? I have actually never heard of that, you would think they would feel better without the saddle LOL!

  • She is a very strange horse. Lol. Everytime I go to jump on she chucks a spazz. It isn't pain, I've checked that. Lol.

  • haha quirky!! lol I ude to knowa mare that would only do that bareback too!!

  • this is cool. i like ur video of getting on. with that horse, i dont think you need a helmet. he seems so good

  • THANK YOU!! that is kind of what I try to get across to people. With gideon or my other horse doc I don't wear a helmet. I FEEL SAFE with them. Gideon takes care of me, welllll about 80% of the time anyway LOL! But he always stops when I start to come off.

  • wow that is amazin i did no hands on the lunge today but my horse was HYPER but it was still fun and it improves your balance sooo much. :D

  • heck yeah I LOVE riding with no hands!!! Sometimes its the hyper ones that are the most FUN!!

  • you betcha!!!!

  • Great job!!

  • I hate you....U hav such good balance! lol My balance is pretty bad. lol

  • Hey! I wish I could train my dogs to jump without a leash!!!

  • lol! i wish I could jump bareback. XD

  • I was trying to run barrels on this guy yesterday and man talk about out of it. I zoned out for like 1sec and nearly ate dirt! IN A WESTERN SADDLE! :P LOL! If it hadn't been for gideon shifting the way he did I would have been swallowing dirt clods!

  • lol!

  • gr8 vid =]

  • Thanks!

  • Wow! u must be a really good rider! lol

  • lol no not really! But thanks he is just a awesome horse I AM SO proud of him!

  • thats ok XD I hate it when people dont let their horse know they are being good

  • love how you pat him and tell him hes a good boy

  • He really is a good old thing! And thanks!

  • WOW he took that great! you have excellent form, nice jump!! its good that you only worry about having fun!

  • Thanks! I am STILL working on my form, just becuase it is something to work toward, and he is awesome to learn on.

  • wow that was great!

  • Thanks we were actually having a good day first in a LONG time.
