Nice work! I'm just a noob at level hacking, but by god, do you have talent. How did you take the elemental shields from Sonic 3 into this? I gather you just took the codes or something. Made the game much more interesting. Unique boss indeed, I first thought it was a glitch that there was 2 lasers, to realize, it was part of the boss. Nice work. Wouldn't mind playing this in the near future. :D

guys under me, this is not a hack. its a cheat called debug mode. were you can get any item, or you can be the item. you cant download it.

This is a hack, debug mode doesn't make the layout different, change the dynamic loading events,add new objects from different games or make bosses different (new) and it is downloadable.

Interesting hack, everything seems to work pretty smoothly, and the boss is unique. Though, some points in the scenery made it hard to tell where to go... familiar Oil Ocean zone thing going on.

I know this is fairly old, and you may not bother with this anymore....but as a suggestion, try slowing the speed of the boss down the slightest...unless you're expecting the drop, you wont get a good chance to bash the boss.

to anwers your question, he ported the elemental shields and their sprites to sonic 1,and in editing the levels made the shields possible in sonic 1,so in short... he made the shields possible in sonic 1...
