  • Where is he now? i remember when he and Bolt use to compete now i dont even see spearmon no more.. ;(

  • Spearmon's great.Think he was injured this year, which was a shame, would have had a good battle with Dix and Lemaitre for a minor medal in Daegu.I had him 10.2 for the first hundred , 2nd a flying 9.4; which means his 2nd 100 is almost as good as Bolt's, he loses ground at the start.Blake's recent 19.26 is phenomenal, there'll be some good 200's next year...

  • By the way,i don't think spearmon will hide such a thing if he had a proof.

No,i think they guess each other clean.

HE's injured,a real pity this year was his chance to win the gold.

  • Asains vs. one black man lolol ownage

  • @iMrballer in the sprints, esp longer sprints, yes. But not in math, science, technology, contributions to humanity, robots, work ethic, culture, perserverance, archery, powerlifting, wrestling, winter olympic events, jumps, baseball, ping pong, food...get my drift....black athletics have benefited and intellect has been hurt by slavery, but things will even out in the very long run...well, it does say in the bible the yellow people will rule the world. W/that said, yes, ur right, OWNAGE:)

  • @iMrballer There was one slow black guy in there as well. Look right in the beginning of the video.

  • @TheAngeltoDemon i know i just seen him before i commented back lol

  • I respect Spearmon alot. Spearmon KNOWS Bolt is doping, but he can't say it. They've been racing together for too long.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAngeltoDemon What a Shit human being you are ;-),die in cancer scum ;-)

  • @bajinj0 I can't disagree, based on my accusation. Since making that comment, i have been swayed by the great Michael Johnson in a BBC documentary called the fastest man ever to live. Have you seen it? You can google videos it.....But as an american, the irony is because of Marion Jones, really he more than anyone, I am suspicious of the jamaicans. Bolt, may truly be a freak we are fortunate to watch, but it is tough to say. I have seen them all compete since Gay, Spearmon were at Arkansas.

  • @bajinj0 That's a pretty harsh comment. Btw, i like your video you uploaded. But you can't be naive to the possibility he takes something, possibly even UNKNOWINGLY....these days, you can put PEDs in massage creams, NO PROBLEM. Jamaican controls are absolutely lax as well. There is alot of unsubstantiated information out there and anecdotal evidence that certainly can make you suspicious. Marion's role in this was that she too was like Bolt, a prodigy as a youth, very tall, etc. Big fail.

  • worst start I've ever seen 0:33

  • This man has the best speed endurance i have ever seen

  • Haha that was almost embarrassing for the Asians xD

  • 19.65 with not competition

  • Spearmon is a machine......

  • fuck me sideways!! how far out did the cameraman have to zoom out. spearmon truely is one of the greatest 200m runners of all time

  • 0:56 ... Yaaaa Spearmon

  • If Spearmon only leaned forward at the finish maybe his personal could have been the same or better as Xavier Carter...

  • Spermon has quicker feet, a better start and better curve then Usain its just that he's blessed with that great height

  • @Mateofish01

    Not a better start,definitely not

  • @Mateofish01 Bullshit. Bolt has the fastest curve in history by far (9.92 in Berlin), Spearmon's weakness has always been his start and curve. Idk what the fuck you're talkin about.

  • @Mateofish01

Before Usain Bolt came along, lots of people said: being tall is a disadvantage for sprinters. Now that Usain Bolt has the 100m and 200m WR, all of them are suddenly saying: being tall is an advantage for sprinters. What I'm saying is: height might or might not give an advantage (we don't know as we can't scale people). If there is an advantage though, it is small, as both being tall and being small have advantages.

  • @ErwinJumps I 100% agree

  • @ErwinJumps this is how it is,the rest is pure spam or personal ideas, every human is different from the other

  • It's funny since I'm sure no one will believe me, but I actually have personally met and hung out with Wallace several times. He's over in my part of Texas using our training facilities. He's a really really cool guy!

  • Asian boys got dusted!

  • WTF l'avanve ??? :noel:

  • i am hoping that he will definately raise his standard this year 2011......as xavier carter injury has also left a void in the field....i look forward to see him this year at jamaican Invitational Iinternational Meet (May 7)and at Adidas meet in NYC (June 11)

  • Why did Wallace Spearmon cut his Hair?...He looks a lot better with it.

  • white sprinters hahahaha its like look a mcdonalds executive buying at burger king his lunch LOL

  • he did 19.79 today on the diamond league

  • He Beastest That

  • Please ohh please run the 400m

  • Spearmon needs to step it up again. We all know he can do it, he's 26 years old, not past his prime yet. I think he should aim under 19.5. Go Spearmon!!

  • Lol see like wdff...he had a pretty decent start...what's more important it seems he actually RAN THE TURN. If spearmon learns to do that he can def be faster than he is now. He runs like 45+ in the 400 so it's not like even if he burned the turn he wouldn't be able to close as fast as he usually does.

  • @TrackShark92 Yeah, Spearmon did about 10.1 for the first 100 here, basically went flat out all the way. He's one of my favourite sprinters, but I feel he needs to work on his drive phase and his turn. Goes without saying really. Only then will he be back running 19.6's

  • Man Spearmon fell off. If only he could run like this in championships. He usually has a horrible start.

  • what happened to this guy??

  • Hopefully Spearmon can return to this form sometime this season and improve on it

  • he looks fast racing against all those asians

  • Wallace always run strong the last 100 metres.

  • The guy in the outside land ran a 21.66. That wouldn't even win the high school state championship in some states. The 2A record in Texas is a 20.8 I think.

  • LOL !!!!

  • Holy shit he's fast..

  • good run mada faka

  • Largest margin of victory true, but look at the competition. 2nd place was almost 21.0!

    i

  • Good run by spearmon...he was all by himself.

  • damn.....that was the biggest lead ever in a sprint....lol

  • word lol

Might be a record distance!! lol

  • Very Fast

  • spearmon is quick u know he aint slow he is good at 200m

  • his margin of victory was 1.63! the largest margin of victory of all time!!!

  • @Nickyelunico Dude who was he running against? Bolts 19.19 would beat them by like 50 meters. I'm not saying you disagree, but you just make it seem like a legit accomplishment. Tyson, dox would do the samething agaisnt that field.

  • @blessedbranch what you're saying makes no sense. He's the 5th fastest man of all time. It's clearly a fucking accomplishment lamebrain. and He was still in college! and these are in different circumstances. Bolt's only slated to run that fast at championship level as he was trained to do! it is what it is, you don't like it, tough titty

  • @Nickyelunico Go back to english 101 dude. No one was questioning how fast he was; I respect Spearmon and he is in my top 5 favourite 200m runners. I was just saying the margin of victory shouldn't be all puffed up, given the field he was racing against. I think it is fair to say this, so do not misconstrue what i am saying.

  • @Nickyelunico because he was running against slow people. HS students in some countries can beat them.

  • @Nickyelunico well that mus be one slow ass field

  • lmao, that's almost embarrising this run!

  • what a joke the koreans are. =x

  • holy shit!...he made me felt sorry for those behind lol

  • why doesn't he run like this very often? is it his nerves or something?

  • Pretty much just nerves. He already knew he'd run a full second ahead of second place, but he still got the adrenaline dump of competition.

Also, his competitors weren't exactly impressive, so of course his margin of victory is insane.

  • It was confirmed that he has suffered from injury, so its been hard for him to get those sub 20 seconds like he used to!!

  • not nerves

  • this was a fluke

  • no such thing

  • actually, there is such a thing

  • There isnt. He didnt just wake up one day and run that time. Thats come from years and years of training and hard work. He had a very good run but in no way a fluke. I would describe a fluke being if someone won a race because several athletes fell down. But in no way i would describe this a fluke. You obviously know very little about wallace spearman or even the sport of athletics.

  • ok, you ready to realize why your wrong.

1st i know more than you about track

2nd This was a fluke because wallace was and will never be able to EXECUTE a race like this because the lower level of competition made him feel relaxed and not nervous that he would be beat like usual (see asafa powell for more evidence)

    3rd good conditions

4th never will race such competition so he will never run this time again

  • Alright you have no idea who i am or how much i know about athletics or the involvement i have in it. He has won two major championship medals and this time shows exactly what he can do. You can't compare him to assfa powell as powell performs badly at championships while spearman usualy performs good. And who do you think who are to say "he will never run this time again" Thats bullshit, how do you know that??? Answer is. YOU DONT. So stop talking as if you know everything when you know NOTHING

  • ok, then i ask you, how long ago has it been since spearmon beat gay bolt or even walter dix

  • Spearmon could get back to these times, but he needs a lot of base speed work. He has the 400 speed(essentially the speed endurance), but he doesn't have the raw speed to put him in the race early enough to challenge the likes of Bolt or Gay. He needs to run more 100s

  • i dont think he even has the 400 endurance

do you think he does just because he finishes strong

you realize he does that because he doesnt push the pace early, which is why he underacheives

  • . He ran a respectable 400m this year, and a good 300 this year also. So the speed endurance is definitely there. Wallace typically is a 200/400m runner, and so is Usain Bolt, but of course, as of late, we have seen the talent Bolt has in the 100. As a matter of fact, Wallace showed he has potential in the 100 when he ran a 9.96 in Shanghai in 07. So the question is not whether he can, because he;'s proven he can. Give him that 100m base and he'll be running much faster

  • bolt is musch more of a 100m runner than a 400m runner

the problem with spearmon is that he has a terrible start, mediocre top speed, and incredible maintanance.

bolt has incredible top speed, and now an incredible start.

spearmon only has endurance which gives him little room to impove because its hard to improve top speed

  • The three bad components of his race you just named CAN be addressed with basic speed work. Bolt was nowhere on the radar in the 100 before 2008, with the exception of his 10.03 PB back in 07, coincidentally the same year Wallace PRed in the 100. Bolt wasn't on the radar because his coach didn't focus his training on doing specific base speed work. Essentially, Bolt was being trained as a 200m runner with 400m training. When his coach decided to incorporate 100m speed work in his training.......

  • ....Bolt's first serious race of the season (outside of his 10.03 PB he tied in Feb. 08) was a 9.76, and we all know what happened to Bolt's career after that. So in the same way, if you give Wallace Speamon, who already has that 400m base, a 100m base, he WILL be a dangerous 200m runner, maybe even as dangerous as Bolt......

  • Bolt was a very different case

he didnt even ever run 100m dashes

he was often hurt or unfocused.

once he startd getting serious, his training cobined with his natural talent (he ran sub 20 when he was 15) is why hes the best

  • LOL, so a person who runs 19.65 has no talent? I'd think so! The 100 isn't even Wallace's pet event, and he ran a 9.96 So let Wallace( who is 6'3'' by the way) get serious too..............

  • compared too the people he thinks he can compete with, hes nothing but an occasional blip on their radar

  • holy fuckin shit, his margain of victory was like twice that of bolts200 in beijing!

  • bolt was beating the fastest people in the world, including spearmon. Spearmon was beating asians. There's a difference.

  • please, tell me why people always talk about bolt in every t&f video . Can't you appreciate Spearmon's performance ?

  • spearmon was doped

  • He is not more doped then usain bolt.

  • well that means that bolt is not doped either

  • You got that right!!

  • @Maxoo05 People always talk about Bolt in every t&f video beacuse he's now the standard , Spearmons performance was 2006 (4yrs. ago) far away & long ago , Bolt is now & he always delivers no 4yr. streach , if you don't like Bolt it gonna be tourture

  • @Maxoo05 Agreed! We all know Bolt has faster times and is the fastest man in the world right now. No need to say it in every video. Sure this is 4 yrs ago, but some of us true track fans like to go back and appreciate the sport, past and present and would like to do that without ppl downplaying one athlete over another ALL the time.

  • @Maxoo05 I agree, people are idiots. 19.65 is a fucking fast time! Yeah, the other guys were not running fast (still fast enough to smoke most athletes in other sports 21.0 approx). Man, the sprints are just so cut throat.

  • bolt was getting beat by spearmon all the time.

  • its harder to run fast when you run on your own...He beat everyone by atleast 10 meteres. This a very good TIME regardless of who he beat!

  • its the time were admiring not the people he beat u idiot

  • Lane 10 had a horrible set and start.

  • lane 8

  • right it was the guy in lane 8, but he did take the badest start i've ever seen in a high level race.

  • badest start lol

    not proper grammar!

  • i should have say worst indeed, sorry i'm french so sometimes my english is rubbish when i don't correct myself.

  • wow!...that's fast

  • who the hell was he running against? they got dicked!

  • I think it was a South Korea competition thats nothing major and important. 6 of the 9 competitors are all Korean so I assume Spearmon probably had too much time to kill so he went there to make up a race.

  • OMFG! HE GOES FASTER THAN MY CAR!

  • yo i'm telling you, asians will soon rule this shit. pple always tlking bout 'oh they legs too short and this and that' but trust me...those niggaz are the most persistent and consistent motha fukkaz in the world. dont eva tell them they cant do something.....cuz they will in the end, just to proveu wrong. but spearmon effed up this race. good run......i'm not asian by the way, i'm just sayin that asians their mindset is quite admirable

  • genetics>hard work

The human body has a limit--- I'm not saying what you said is wrong, but still...

These professional athletes all train hard regardless, it doesn't matter if your asian or not. Just because he's black doesn't mean he doesn't have an extreme hard work mindset.

Usain Bolt on the other hand, might be a bit different... he parties a lot and is the fastest man ever to be born. Rediculous when you think about it.

  • i know they all train just as hard...but i keep hearing comments that show me that asians are completely underestimated in track and field. all i'm saying is that they'll have their moment one day if they continue to push like they're doing now.

  • asahara has run a 10.01

thats closer to break 9 seconds in 100m than a white competitor

  • Comment removed

  • He killed them in this race, he's not running much faster now. Is his best days behind him?

  • wow this is so hard 2 find

  • he smashed it!!!

  • ty for finally putting this up! :)

  • This is a hard video to find

  • wow!!! what a race of wallace spearmon, his one of the best sprinters of 200m in the history, 19.65 is the 5 in the ranking of fastest times in 200m.
