actually if there is enough energy going through that wire it shouldn't matter if the trail of urine was broken. The electricity would have jumped across the spaces were there was no pee because if you look at the wire there were visible bolts of energy. It definitely should have shocked the dog.
I agree that if there was enough energy, it would travel up. But since it didn't shock the dog, it didn't have enough energy to travel up the trail. You have to judge the power by what happens.

actually...electricity goes to ground before anything else...no matter what...so if the urine is touching the ground then the dog wont get shocked, usually if pplz get shocked either their feet are touching the ground or they are touching metal. So the dog would actually be perfectly safe, not that any of this is relevant of course, next episode!
