Metallica havn't done a good studio album since ReLoad. And 1/4 of the band died in 2001. Rob is so out of place and they sound really horrible nowdays.
Master of Puppets was beautiful and they will never do anything that compares to that stuff again. Let's not kid ourselves that all Metallica songs are created equal.

Check out other great old bands and what they done lately...decent stuff but nothing comparable to their old hits. @zemixerus Megadeth Endgame was awesome and it's comparable to the old stuff. the new one' 13 ' isn't that good but still better than anything Metallica composed recently. Unfortunately it's clear they are trying to sell depending on their big name. The New Iron Bound not better than the old ones in Overkill's discography but still better than anything Metallica did recently.Christ sake there are kids who play thrash Metal music better than Metallica, Havok for instance.

There are a lot of people who are not fans of heavy metal that listen to Metallica. Whereas Megadeth is really only popular with people who are into the genre. And also Dave Mustaine had a huge influence on the thrash considering he was in Metallica and had writing credits in some of their songs. So if Metallica invented it so did Dave.

Love it, can't help but think that the verse riff reminds me of Post- Mortem's verse riff though. Not that it's a bad think. Lars' drumming is pretty generic though.

Its good to see metallica back in action. I was quite disapointed with St.Anger, Load and Reload. Death Magnetic was a great CD and these new tracks sound even more promising.

@evertonredbull You can't compare Metallica and Megadeth based on sales. Metallica has a broader spectrum of fans because of the black album and load and reload. There are a lot of people who are not fans of heavy metal that listen to Metallica. Whereas Megadeth is really only popular with people who are into the genre. And also Dave Mustaine had a huge influence on the thrash considering he was in Metallica and had writing credits in some of their songs. So if Metallica invented it so did Dave.

Love it, can't help but think that the verse riff reminds me of Post- Mortem's verse riff though. Not that it's a bad think. Lars' drumming is pretty generic though.

Its good to see metallica back in action. I was quite disapointed with St.Anger, Load and Reload. Death Magnetic was a great CD and these new tracks sound even more promising.
