  • Sounds more like a psychiatrist than anything else.....

  • I love this so much and it makes me get kind of teary eyed and I don't know why.

  • Shit like this makes me wish I had a son sometimes. Oh well. Anytime I've tried to interact with a family member's child in a similar way, it's always just 'wat' everywhere.

  • please tell me your connections to this kid he sorta reminds me of a much younger me

  • Love it!

  • @SaturnineFilms

I miss videos like this. But I suppose someone will be saying that no matter what kind of videos you make...

  • A video beautiful in its simplicity, way to go Cody

  • Cody you're my hero. Don't tell TJ.

  • this is one of the most poetic video's i have ever seen. how on earth did you get him to keep in focus? its also showing whats happening to our upcoming generations

  • lol @ "make a face that you think looks like you"

  • There is nothing special about the kid. Its a regular kid...the only difference is that an adult took his time to sit down with him and talk to him like an equal.

  • Brilliant.

  • This kid is fucking amazing. I'm not much of a kid person, or whatever the hell that means but this little boy is seriously badass.

  • Haha, clever kid. I like the representation of his story in the beginning.

  • Think I was tearing a bit over this. Not sure why.

  • whats with the Ouija board at the beginning? I got lots of Ouija movies on my channel

  • Is that his son? And if it is, yes! finally a good fucking parent who makes their kid a thinker!

  • @MrBlamemeforit its his brother

  • Pure Awesome...!

  • I like that you're making him think.

  • That's a pretty cool kid.

  • Clipped cocks and snipped schwanzes!

  • fuck, i wish i had that confidence today.

  • I nearly teared cause of this, the innocent and honesty of a child is beautiful. We should actually listen to what have to say when given the opportunity.

  • cody's little brother?

  • cute kid, he's got a good mind too.

  • Haha I remember when I was that confident.

  • He's lucky being raised by an atheist.

  • i dont understand the difference you consider between an atheist raising someone and another person.

  • @JRTET21 What a stupid comment...a true free mind never limits its self to the teachings of their parents.

  • He's so awesome :)

  • Is Jake your brother? If so then you're a really cool brother to be able to talk to him like this.

  • He's his kid?

  • No, my brother.

  • He's adorable(:

You sound like a therapist, though..

  • that kids awesome.

  • jake is precious.

  • Hello, cody.I dont like some of your videos, but i have to admit that you nail it with this one.

    Good job!

  • moar!!!

  • this video is excellent.

  • Hey Cody, when your with this awesome kid, does he make you feel happy?

  • This is a great video, and the kid is adorable!

  • Very open kid...not so shy and very adorable.

  • he's pretty mature for a young kid

  • i like this. i wish people would talk like this to children more, honestly and not condescendingly

  • One of your most interesting videos ever. Jake is a cool guy.

  • Are there any questions that you left out of the video?

  • It's good to be getting this kid to reflect at such an early age. It's also very interesting to hear his responses. I truly wish somebody would have made me think this way at such an early age.

  • I gotta be honest, Cody. The kid sounds bright. And sure, he sounds like a modern kid with the Killing bad guys and stuff, but he sounds like he's got a good head on his shoulders. And I hate that phrase.

  • he reminds me of gianni toso.....

    look him up

  • who's this Jake guy??

  • Cody's brother

  • i was actually negativly surprised by jake's answers; they reflect how the media shapes children "kill badguys, she buys me..."

    he's still pretty smart

  • this is soo cute. and he is goign to be so smart when he gets older

  • I really liked this.

It was really cute, and at the same time, it was filled with an enormous juxtaposition of happy and melancholy.

  • That kid is cool.

  • Clever kid

  • My god, incredible how much he looks like you :)

  • so young and so inocent, makes me reminisce.

  • wow he is really cute and seems really smart, but how old is he?

  • This kid is smart and he probably understands emotion better than I do.

Ten billion stars, even if only five of them are "real."

  • So you think this kid is more intelligent than you in terms of understanding emotions. Not gonna lie, that sounds like you are sucking up big time.

  • Too bad it sounds like that.

    I really meant it.

Children, unlike most people who've been around long enough to be convinced normalcy is indifference, can give into emotion and generally understand why they feel the way they do.

  • haha, someone trying to make an intellectual statement with the name "SmartestPlaYA" oh you make me laugh

  • @o00JONESY00o well no its not intellectual its blunt. To say it how it is isnt intellectual.

  • This is is a painting of humanity at it's most raw and uncorrupted form. Kudos, Cody.

  • that was nice = )

  • What a great video. It shows that children can sometimes know the answers to questions that older people can't figure out. And it shows how simple it all used to be. And it's entertaining for the people whose heads all that flew over.

  • I hate how a lot of people assume that kids are too dumb/emotionally incapable of handling questions like this. I think kids are a lot more emotionally/mentally resilient that we think. Just looks at kids movies like the Lion King, haha.

Good video, Cody. I find his answers very interesting. :]

  • intriguing to hear the answers to questions we ask ourselves almost on a daily basis to a child

reminds you of how much more honest you used to be with yourself and be OK with it

  • I usually think kids are annoying but you asked all the right questions. Thanks for this video.

  • Damnit Cody! He'll run those questions through his head for the next 20 years and end up a shivering wreck lol.

  • Weird, he actually kind of looks like me when I was that age.

  • Come on, most kids aren't stupid. They can handle a handful of questions.

  • Hes just a child, whats with all those questions.

  • Yeah, children are supposed to grow up to not have any answers! How dare you try to teach him something Cody!

  • smart and arrogant. like me, but good-looking :D

  • Awesome!

  • too much questions for a little kid:D

    but very interesting..

  • Are you saying it's bad to ask children questions to inspire thought and intelligence?

  • no..it's great to talk with him,challange him intelectually..he's a smart kid...but..

i'm saying that he's too young for questions like "you do it on purpose? you HATE yourself on purpose?".."how does it feel when someone was dissapointed in you?" ... but i guess it's allright because it doesnt.. affect him..he looks like he's very happy..loved..

im sure he has everything he needs:D...

  • I said "Hit yourself on purpose." Christ.

  • my bad...wasn't tryin to be a critic, nor a wise guy,a shrink or anything..just a personal opinion,a first impression.i guess i was scared that kids nowadays could feel "hate for themselves"or have any other problems like that.I'm glad Jake's happy ,n i hope he'll always be like this..

btw great work lately cody !::D

    take care

  • is that ur brother

  • ... My earliest memory was also riding on the back of my dad's bike. I know I was three because my mom told me.

  • I wish more people would treat kids like this. Most people look at a kid and unknowingly develop a high pitch voice with some kinds of alien grammar and try to communicate with kids. It is annoying - it bugged me when I was a kid.

  • aww :3

  • This shows the beuty of childhood. This Kid hasn't learned to put up a facade and hide who and what he is.

Thats why I love children. They never give me the bullshit adults do...

  • Keep feeding his dreams! But watch very closely........

  • :( i want a kid like this.

  • Adult Jake: Everybody stand back! I'm going to do SCIENCE!!

  • ok im pretty sure it's his little brother... yeah.

  • I like this.

  • oh wow that is a cute child! and holy crap he's smart.... you can ask most people i know those questions and they'd just look at you with a confused look on their faces.... great video!

  • Who is this Cody?

  • Haha. Aww, he's adorable :)

  • best vid you've made in a long time.

  • Aww he is so cute! hehe. I wish i had a little brother now haha!

  • Is he your son or a relative of your's?

  • science to kill bad guys!

    awesome

  • What a samrt kid! Some of his answers are pretty introspective for someone his age.

  • I love it man! It would be interesting if you interviewed various kids. It would be a breath of fresh imaginative air.

  • Goddamnit this is the greatest video you have ever produced! This will be soon watched by half a million people. Crap you made me really happy for 4 minutes and 41 goddamn seconds!!!

  • Haha. Cody Weber is like the Kid Whisperer.

  • He's way too cute. He had the nicest eyes.

  • you're really good w/ kids

  • This reminded me of the movie " Where The Wild Things Are"

  • He's adorable, excellent video.

  • That kid is adorable.... And that's saying a lot since I really don't like kids.

  • Are you video taping me?

    Haha.

  • I loved this Cody! Please do another. :)

  • I don't know why, but this is a really great video. Makes me feel nostalgic for that age. Seems like yesterday...

  • wow i miss being that age, it's really cool that his best moment in his life is snuggling with his mom he seems really sweet and cute

  • I love this video so much Cody

  • Forget about what I just said.

  • That's adorable.

  • Cody, I just want to say, that was FUCKING

    BEAUTIFUL.

the only thing is, maybe making him think these things will make him grow up too fast. Maybe it will give him issues. I know that when I was young I always questioned myself as you questioned him, as you get older you think more, and I always found the negatives when I asked myself questions of my own character.

Dont let that happen to him, he is an amazing looking child.

  • How old is Jake?

  • are these your kids?

: ) if they are im so happy you get to see them : )

  • This video made me feel old, but in a good way. In a nostalgic kind of way i can relate to the kid.

  • Very nice

  • kids are actors

  • That is a lot of introspection for a five year old. Damn.

    lol

  • I'm sure it'll be cool for him to see this when he's older.

  • loved this vid.

  • aww :D

  • Lol. He's smart.

  • thats real.

  • one of the best videos you have made in a while

  • :-)

  • Really cute! Also, who thinks this kid looks like the little boy from Big Daddy?

  • Become a film director. You are a talent that could be used.

  • this was awesome man...really I mean it

  • @webdarasti: completely. friggin. agree.

  • Really nice questions. Great look into the developing mind.

I really like the "what's your oldest memory" Q. All very interesting.

btw my name is Jake :P

  • quite an ego, kid

  • where else you get such stuff to watch...very unique interview.

  • This is pretty cool man

  • wow. he seems like an adult in a kids body. it's creepy...

  • Your boy has the potential to be very, very successful and be very, very powerful. He is quite intelligent for his age, very much so. And he is also very mature for his age. I hope my kid becomes this intelligent and actually amazing.

  • haha, he is my brother, not my son.

  • Either way, good kid.

  • sometimes kids are so smart!

  • More of these plz :)

  • Ohmigod.

<3 Just, everything. Cinematography and, uh, everything.

  • d'aww.

  • .....awkward....

  • Great kid, great video.

  • i really like the angles and shit. you made something really simple turn artistic. the end was really cute too.

  • I love this kid =)

  • r u babysitting him?

  • enlightening

  • Amazing video!

  • Dude, that kid seems so smart.

  • you have children

  • O.o

  • its amazing how honest and simple minded yet creative children can be

  • This is one of your best videos, Cody.

  • @robbiechachere

    I completely agree.

  • whos jake?

  • it's his brother.

  • Just comes to show how philosophical children can be, and how at times we can underestimate the power of their mind. ;)
