Shit like this makes me wish I had a son sometimes. Oh well. Anytime I've tried to interact with a family member's child in a similar way, it's always just 'wat' everywhere.
this is one of the most poetic video's i have ever seen. how on earth did you get him to keep in focus? its also showing whats happening to our upcoming generations
There is nothing special about the kid. Its a regular kid...the only difference is that an adult took his time to sit down with him and talk to him like an equal.
I nearly teared cause of this, the innocent and honesty of a child is beautiful. We should actually listen to what have to say when given the opportunity.
It's good to be getting this kid to reflect at such an early age. It's also very interesting to hear his responses. I truly wish somebody would have made me think this way at such an early age.
I gotta be honest, Cody. The kid sounds bright. And sure, he sounds like a modern kid with the Killing bad guys and stuff, but he sounds like he's got a good head on his shoulders. And I hate that phrase.
Children, unlike most people who've been around long enough to be convinced normalcy is indifference, can give into emotion and generally understand why they feel the way they do.
What a great video. It shows that children can sometimes know the answers to questions that older people can't figure out. And it shows how simple it all used to be. And it's entertaining for the people whose heads all that flew over.
I hate how a lot of people assume that kids are too dumb/emotionally incapable of handling questions like this. I think kids are a lot more emotionally/mentally resilient that we think. Just looks at kids movies like the Lion King, haha.
Good video, Cody. I find his answers very interesting. :]
no..it's great to talk with him,challange him intelectually..he's a smart kid...but..
i'm saying that he's too young for questions like "you do it on purpose? you HATE yourself on purpose?".."how does it feel when someone was dissapointed in you?" ... but i guess it's allright because it doesnt.. affect him..he looks like he's very happy..loved..
my bad...wasn't tryin to be a critic, nor a wise guy,a shrink or anything..just a personal opinion,a first impression.i guess i was scared that kids nowadays could feel "hate for themselves"or have any other problems like that.I'm glad Jake's happy ,n i hope he'll always be like this..
I wish more people would treat kids like this. Most people look at a kid and unknowingly develop a high pitch voice with some kinds of alien grammar and try to communicate with kids. It is annoying - it bugged me when I was a kid.
oh wow that is a cute child! and holy crap he's smart.... you can ask most people i know those questions and they'd just look at you with a confused look on their faces.... great video!
Goddamnit this is the greatest video you have ever produced! This will be soon watched by half a million people. Crap you made me really happy for 4 minutes and 41 goddamn seconds!!!
the only thing is, maybe making him think these things will make him grow up too fast. Maybe it will give him issues. I know that when I was young I always questioned myself as you questioned him, as you get older you think more, and I always found the negatives when I asked myself questions of my own character.
Dont let that happen to him, he is an amazing looking child.
Your boy has the potential to be very, very successful and be very, very powerful. He is quite intelligent for his age, very much so. And he is also very mature for his age. I hope my kid becomes this intelligent and actually amazing.
Sounds more like a psychiatrist than anything else.....
