Some of my favorite Queen videos are when John Deacon not only rocks (always does) but moves around a bit. Seen them 7 times and the rest of the band always moved around and were so full of energy. When he does too they were really AMAZING. Best live band ever in my opinion
It seemed to me that there was a lot of talent competition in Queen, and probably that 's one of the things that made this band so great live. In this video, for instance, Brian goes gets another guitar and John takes the chance to perform his tricky bass solo, Freddie replaces the guitar absence with his voice, but brian immediately interrupts them both. yet Roger and John keep the beat in perfect harmony..AWSOME! QUEEN RULES!
from a basic band, drums, bass, guitar, vocals ....queen is the best, most cohesive band...then they can change vocals, leads, and style....the best band ever..maybe..
the MOST underrated bass player in rock history...JOHN DEACON.....dude always had great tone andknew how to play spot on.....plus he has some of the most recognizable bass riffs ever....
When you hear this, and then listen to The Miracle, Invisible Man, or even Bohemian Rhapsody, you realise really how diverse they were. Freddie, we love you, we miss you, and most of us worship you and you're music to this day....
the only thing different between those two bands is that one Rocks and the other is a bunch of fags in 2009. Think Richard Wright 2008's Great Gig in The Sky!
Queen has never been credited in their musical creativity....John,roger,brian,freddie together were queen....all were writing and contributing to Queen Albums....
It could be considered a good thing Brian broke his string, as it allowed John to fill in with his bass solo, the only time he did. And even though it's completely spontaneous, he still nails it. Amazing.
This song is so amazing live...damn Freddie is good. And this song jams so unbelievably hard. Oh, and the B S below this post about Justin Hawkins replacing Freddie? Hahaha...whatever. They actually considered him for their current tours but they chose Paul Rodgers. PAUL RODGERS! That shows how much faith Brian and Roger have in f-ing Justin Hawkins. Hawkins can't even stay sober enough to sing for his own band, let alone replace the greatest frontman and singer the world has ever seen.
What is the red and white jackets that freddie has called? i really want to buy an equal version! they look so fucking awesome!!!! anyone help a desperate bloke out????? =) great performance!
All those dumb idiots who are thumbing me down dont even know what im saying. Im not calling Queen the worst band, im calling Jonas brothers the worst band
AMAZING guitar and drums in this - LOVE THIS SONG! From "The Game"- one of my favs. Freddie's gone, but the music lives forever. Thanks! I think I've seen those tight pants and vests on a new boy band...even the bandanna!!
well... freddie's vocals are extremely powerful and heart-felt (even though, as we all know, he often had problems with his vocal chords), while roger seems to have unending energy and his fills are very colourful (not that i know much about drumming...). i think all this is most easy to see not here, but on somebody to love, that same night... i just posted it here because one day i was on a live at the bowl binge and i finally got overwhelmed on this song and just had to say something :)
Watching Queen live I became a huge Roger Taylor fan. He did almost as much singing as Freddie and doing that while doing his terrific drumming, which is physically very demanding in itself, is an accomplishment one does not see much. I don`t think though that Freddie`s voice problems qualify as "often". Most of the time he was fantastic.
I totally agree with you. Roger is a brilliant drummer and a extraordinary singer. Once he said that it was a "nightmare" doing it at the same time. Well he did it often and how good he was at it! I think he is underrated to this day because, well, you know how attractive he was at the time...
LOL...I couldn`t help but notice. Another reason I think is that he is not some pain-in-the-a**-show-off-drummer who only wants to bring across his own skills. He realizes that as part of a group he has to drum as such. He always seems to do what`s best for the song, that`s where his true genius lies.
Definitely. He plays for the team, yeah. Brian said that his drumming was like a canvas where he coud paint as he pleases. What a great bunch of musicians they are, huh?
everywhere. Their rock tunes are at almost every sport event since they write we will rock you and we are the champions. In movies, games and even in the idol series, they have a queen week every once in a while. Their music actually is everywhere.
don't ever fuck with freddie------this man could shake the f-in house to the ground with a couple of AAAhhhs, ooooooh yeahhhhhhh, and a strong UUUHHHHH- i love freddie mercury and queen--- AIDS took you down in your prime, but your voice will out live us all --- good post
Queen rock kick ass!! just incredible. this band is one of the best in the rock and roll history , have the best singer in the history and a guitar god, john and roger have great talents too!!
When I hadn´t heard hot space yet, I´d say that it´s the worst queen album. Of course, after I heard it, I realised that queen don´t even have one bad album! they´re all great

Freddie Mercury & Robert Plant are 2 of the
best.I have seen bar bands that could do some damn good Led Zeppelin & Plants vocals. When it
comes to imitating Freddie's vocals it's a
whole different ball game.Paul Rodgers of Bad
Company is a damn good singer but,he couldn't
do justice to Freddie when he tored with Queen
But,Paul Rodgers made some damn good music in
the Firm.He had Jimmy Page on guitar & Chris
Slade on the drums who is damn good & linke to
5 different bands.
