Seeing him live on this piece was unforgettable... no one plays cello like Yo-Yo Ma! Cello is definitely my favorite instrument :D

Imagine. You have complete mastery over your instrument and don't have to worry about technique. You are playing possibly the best piece ever written for cello in Avery Fisher Hall, one of the best concert halls on earth, with one of the finest American Orchestras, with one of the best living conductors, and with possibly one of the greatest cellos on earth, the Davydov Stradivarius. I would be cummng nonstop!

Yes, since I wrote that nearly half a year ago and have learned that he only uses his Davidov for baroque music, I stand humbly corrected.
And if the performer knows how to play in it, AVH is one of the best.
