Keith is great. He came to Kelowna BC Canada to do a fundraiser for the Okanagan International Film Festival and the Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation on Dec. 10/09. He donated some memorabilia and his time... just a great guy. The highlight of the night was the jam session with the other musicians... Danny McBride (of Chris De Burgh), Mystic Bowie, John Lee Sanders, and other fantastic locals including a nice country influence. The stage was full. Fantastic night !
Nah, Keith ain't drunk....not with liqour anyway.....When us musicians have new toys to play with, the excitement makes us look that way and words are hard to find. He's talking to the camera all the while just imagining or seeing himself tweaking knobs and adrift in a sonic landscape making new sounds and painting an electronic pallette on his new toy. Mr. Emerson is thee best of the best.
Could someone please help! I'm an inventor of a new bold class of Leslie designs. I'm an inventor seeking contact with top level musicians. A Non Disclosure Agreement will have to be signed to see the concept. My Doppler concept makes the present Leslie designs look like "tinker toys". This concept will have a visually stunning stage presence. Contact Jack Jones, go to Geobat..,..com for contact info and background info.
Keith could do with a grammar lesson ... "Averse" as an adjective means " Strongly disliking or opposed to" That means that he thinks his tech hates the instruments he is using :) Funny !
How would you like to re-repairer the Hammond B3 every time Keith destroys it on stage.Or set up that monstrosity (Moog synth). It looks great on stage but if I was his tech,I think I'd have a lot to complain about.Lol.
I love that he actualy plays an L-100 (or should I say abuses one) anyway I think its awesome because I just lucked up on one. Its actualy an L111 but still pretty much the same.
I was at the gastroblues festival in hungary 2008. I really enjoyed it, he signed a pictures at an exhibition cd for me and it was one of the best concerts i have been on! Keith is and is going to stay a LEGEND!!!!!
Funny how much Keith's voice has changed over the decades. I saw ELP at the California Jam back in 1974, at Anaheim after that. And now I'm watching some of ELP's vids of rehearsals for BSS and TARKUS, and his and Carl's voices are so high-pitched and nasal way back then! I hadn't heard him since back then. How surprised I was to hear him now!
Keith Emerson, why did you stop using Moog & Hammond? Nothing comes close to the sounds they produce, but,of course,it is your preference, but, I did just wonder. Thanks.
I used to follow the nice and elp around for years..what a character and mad as hell bit omg such talent!

Digitalboy, I caught that too. I don't know why people gave you a bunch of thumbs down for having a good vocabulary. :-/
I countered with my own thumbs up to try to mitigate that.

I think all the wires and stuff to Keith's right is the Moog stuff. I've read in interviews that he still uses that stuff.

Open Labs has the BEST [if not most expensive] music production gear ever made.

The best? hellz yeah, the most expensive? No way dude! Research history of gear and current gear, and youll see this is actually the most economical.
