  • *and they did n awesome performance

  • The glee version is better in my opinion; their voices were more powerful and in

  • It really pisses me off when people say glee are talented. They can't even make their own song ffs. All they do is use auto-tune.

  • this song is so incredibly good, just... SO good

  • This song touches me in places I want to be touched.

  • Cool Bass line.

  • wow. people should just be happy that younger generations are being exposed to older types of music. doesn't matter where they learned it from.

  • glee is just a show. its a great one, and even though i am a huge gleek myself, you guys need stop bashing it. please keep your ill-minded opinions to yourself.

  • @crumple154 You do realize your opinion is bashing ours the same way ours is bashing yours?...

  • @crumple154 No, I will not keep my opinion to myself. I mean, COME ONNNNNN. Every episode it's the same: Sue will try and ruin Glee club, and Glee club will prevail because the people want a fairytale ending. Trust me, I watched an entire season of Glee and I'm officially sick of it.

  • GLEE? Really? I'm 18 and you know, I didn't even know it was sung in Glee. In fact, I wonder how many of you teeny boppers know that it featured in Kill Bill perhaps? Because that's way more interesting and gratifying than having to imagine the cast of Glee ruining every good song known to man. It is no less than tragic, that most of my generation seem to have pickled eggs for brains. Seriously, stop watching washed up crap like Glee and go get some culture.

  • @submissionoverload So do you feel big and important now that you've proven to all of us how "cultured" you are because you know a song from before you were born? Honestly, pretentious teens piss me off more than people who learned a song from a television show.

  • @BlueEyedBaby1219 Eh, mate... I'm not pretentious, I just so happen to not want to accept the fact that a good two thirds of my generation are showing up and letting down the rest of us. I'm not cultured by any stretch of the imagination, I live in England for god's sake- it's so white bread it's unreal- so I do what I can in life to educate myself. Is that so wrong?

  • @submissionoverload No it's not. Frankly, I'm a tad annoyed by our generation too. It's just that I see these comments everywhere. On top of that I'm listening to my brother complain constantly about it too. I'm more passive about it. I try not to care about what other people like, a large portion of my friends like modern stuff, and while I don't tend to enjoy it as much as they do I learned that I can't be so uptight about it. Reading stuff like that everywhere gets

  • @BlueEyedBaby1219 annoying after a while. I don't know what was wrong with me when I posted that, but obviously I was having a bad day. And if you think the UK is uncultured try the US. Some parts are but most are just as "white bread" as England if not more.

  • @submissionoverload ...Okay, that might have been a little harsher than I meant it to be, I don't like talking to people like that. But still, I hate it when people think they're better than someone else just because those people listen to different music, or watch different tv shows or something. I typically don't like modern music, but it isn't all bad, and all the music from back then isn't all good, although it's all a matter of opinion, honestly.

  • @submissionoverload You of course realise that in the sixties, the people who listened to this sort of music were teenyboppers, right?

  • @danielkoconnor52 Nope, I was born in 1993. But thank you for sharing that :)

  • @themoshmenace an American TV show about a fictional show choir. Look up a few episodes, some are actually pretty good. :)

  • Ow! Fantastic... but this is not the single version...

  • Omg i'm dying. It's not letting me put this on my watch later playlist </3

  • It was made in 1964.

  • AHHHHHHH!!! THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!

  • What year was this song made? God I love it.

  • No difference between OLD and NEW music, If it's good, it's good. That's all that SHOULD matter ;D.

  • vyfdcjyfgvjiygifcdfrcyv ffrucrjfcxiyrxckyhgfcvuytcoyrgcvy vifrdfxciry7utdcfvtygfvrytgfvv v uhbbbgvbnvghggghbvoh iu

  • @JKC545 sjhdbjhasydghjhas, laksjfklsdk askliuhdw askjhf.. aksugefd!

  • Not all of today's music sucks, even if the pop does suck, all you need to do is look a bit. I'm no fan of today's pop but I still try to look around to see what's good these days. (It is getting harder to find good stuff now though)

  • STA FTW

  • I am 14 years old and I think I'm in love

  • Too bad this not the original 1964 version.

  • She's not theereeeee :O

  • Great song! Sounds very sixties and at the same time is not like any other song of that time.

  • not true blood even glee it's just great musical taste

  • awesome song! :)

  • I don't see how humans could have produced something this good yet now be stuck on the stupid era of music we're going through now.

  • @Supaduck0 Thanks for that observation.....i agree.

  • When I was a high school kid in '65, I was tired of the top 40 crap New York was putting on the radio, wholesome bubblegum bands and even the Beatles at first. Then one cold winter morning, this came on the radio — even the name: the Zombies — the sophisication of the chord changes, the way Davies had arranged his own band was like nothing I had ever heard on the radio. I knew then my generation was going to make an exciting mark on the world.

  • Comment removed

  • mmmh... It's the first time I hear this song, and The Zombies to! I like this band! amazing music! This song reminds me of the song "Please don't let me be misunderstood" by The Animals and I don't know why... Good band The Zombies were!..

  • my mum showed me her old record collection & The Zombies were in it, ive loved them ever since! <3

  • this song is awesome!

  • great song

  • This song reminds me of 'The Virgin Suicides'. Look up the trailer to see what I mean.

  • just awsome

  • It's the 60's.. obviously awsome

  • @radicaltimward Agreed.

  • Interesting trivia: The Zombies made this album at the Abbey Road Studios, using the same studio space and equipment that had just been used by The Beatles to make "Sgt. Pepper".

  • @AudioTech50 this song is not from that same album. Odyssey and Oracle was recorded at that time. This song is from the "Begin Here(UK release)/"The Zombies"(US release) period.

  • There sure is a lot of ignorant comments made on this sight, it's pathetic that youtube would put up with such low brow comments. you people have no intellectual vocabulary or a decent way of expressing your self. No education, real sad.

  • @hychet13

What boggles the mind is your comment stands out as one of the most insulting and pathetic. Jerk off on your own time you pretentious douche.

And you should edit your posts before bringing up intellect. Despite probably being offered a great education, you still make very basic mistakes most elementary students wouldn't. Are you offended by the glee hatred? If you like glee you shouldn't be looking up good music, you should look up 'glee', or perhaps 'gay sex' is more up your alley.

  • This truly pisses over all music released in the past few decades.

  • fuck glee fuck true blood, this song is amazing and im proud to say i found it on my own

  • @ColdHeartedPysko I'm so fuckin' sick of glee fuckin' up classic songs, the motherfuckers! Dumb-ass show!

  • Wow. I learned about this song from a remake on True Blood. Rather that than glee

  • C'est un titre de 1965! Incroyable!

  • SHUT UP ABOUT GLEE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic! As a balm for the heart...

  • Well, several people told me about her, the way she tell the truth

Well, several people told me about her, how many people smiled

But it's too early to say you're welcome

How would I not know, why should I not care

Please bother trying to find her

    She's THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRREEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Glee la covereó???? Hijos de sus mariconas madres!!!

  • Just cause glee did this song doesn't mean it's theirs.. this belongs to the Zombies before glee.. it was played in 1979.. I'm not sure when it came out.. so don't mention some stupid show that ruins the perception of the song in the first place...

  • someone said glee??? hahahahaha...

  • GLEE must die!!!!!!

  • well if u think about it if it were not for glee alot of people would not know of these songs and because of glee the younger genrations are getting in to older music

  • @Alix19971 I heard this song at Islands Hawaiin restaraunt

  • @Alix19971 That's what I keep saying, I don't get why everyone trips. Fair enough they butcher most songs but it's not like the original gets destroyed. People just have to have something to complain about I suppose.

  • @Alix19971 Even Colin Blunstone himself tweeted that he despised the fact that Glee covered his songs. So if the original artist hates Glee.....what does that say about the show in general?

  • What font is this?

  • @waveydaveywaves it's called Zephyr I think

  • GLEE SUCKS.

  • @argyjr yea xD

  • This has less angst than I remember in the original. Is this something the Zombies recorded for a reunion in the 1970s?

  • This is horrible. Cory monteith made it awesome and so good.

  • @nightsky161 It appears 872 people agree with yo... hang on... no they don't.

  • The only problem I have with Glee is that the singing sounds so fake. And all the kiddos act like they've loved the song forever a day after they hear it.

  • I swore this song was slower

  • i heard this of santana.great cover. but the og is better.

  • To give Glee credit, the actors are genuine broadway actors - I've even some of them on stage, and they are talented people, true triple threats. If you're going to blame anyone for arranging or overseeing low quality arrangements, blame Ryan Murphy.

  • great

  • i tink glee di a great job representing the band! both are just very classic!

  • I heard this on GLEE sarcasm :P XP

  • fuck glee true blood brought me here <3

  • @wolfgirl657 fuck true blood... I brought me here!

  • @mahavishnuxc Dude stfu asshole

  • @wolfgirl657 i was just kidding, i'm not upset at all. i never was. I was kidding with you and then you replied back with "stfu asshole" so i just reversed to tease you. i didnt know you were gonna take it so seriously. if it means anything, I honestly apologize. im so sorry.

  • @mahavishnuxc its Okay and im sorry to but its like everytime I leave a comment thats not even insulting anything it seems like I get rude replys so Im sorry as well

  • @wolfgirl657 yeah theres a lot of assholes in youtube...but you and i are not one them.

  • @mahavishnuxc Lol Thank you.

  • Jesus Christ, what doesn't Glee sing. I can't wait until it gets canceled.

  • @yeahsee33 I just think it's sad that radio stations play that Glee crap in place of the actual songs now, songs that they used to play on a regular basis.

  • Four people tried to find her.

  • can anyone else imagine George Craig singing this?

  • Great!!

  • true blood!! <3

  • @TheNikichikita Shut the fuck up. Who gives a shit if it was in some shitty show you like? The Zombies were masters of their trade, which, by the way, was music, not shitty television.

  • @McSqueaky yeah, it's a shame some of these young, dumb, and full-of-cum dipshits don't know some of these classics until they see it on some fucking terrible TV series.

  • what version of this song was in the season 4 premiere of true blood?

  • Nick Cave > Zombies > Glee

  • @mfashnick i didn't like that version.. honestly i perfer the glee over that.. infact, they shouldve just used the original in true blood

  • This doesn't sound like the original "She's Not There." This sounds like a cheap remake.

  • This ISN"T The Zombies!

  • what is this song about?

  • This is the song and title to the final episode of True Blood series 4. True dat.

  • @Wallicio You mean first episode of season 4

  • This song makes me want to Fossie

  • yes, it's an awesome song.

  • Thx Maariee for sharing something that is 'Gold'

danced to this about 30 years ago, in my hippy days, you brought back some fab memories, Take Care, Louise xxx

  • It's sad that all I see when I look at the comments of this wonderful song is people moaning about Glee. Get over it.

  • I REMEMBER THIS SONG . I USE TO TURN IT UP SO LOUD WHEN IT CAME ON. AW THE MEMORIES. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS

  • You cannot compare the Zombies and Santana versions. Zombies was 64 Santana was 77, an entirely different music era. Both are great but in totally different ways.

  • Love this beat , awesome song !

  • i dont know if i prefare the zombies or santana

  • @nirvanaobsesion27 how would you know, why would you care? lol both are awesome :D

  • 2 people are stupid.

  • omg they sing this song and i have been looking for this song its so awesome and there hot

  • I use this song as a sound check.

  • Should it take me so long to find the best version of this song without going through pages of Glee? Worth a few more pennies to you, Google, If I should click on a an inferior version first? This is the best - always has been - show some respect.

  • i want to cream as well.....lol....Colin!!!!

  • I CAN'T stop listening to this song...

  • glee ruins this classic!

  • @YoungerMarie hell no, this song is good, very good, but the version of glee is also good

obviously always the original song is much better but "glee" don't ruin the song....

    Carlos Santana's version sucks >=(

  • @GreciaOverstreet True, that one does suck!! But i do think that the original is MUCH better than the glee version. =)

  • @YoungerMarie yeah! i know, the zombies are cool!

  • Thumbs up if you liked this song before Glee!!

  • I prefer Glee's version :/

  • @gummyxXxbear fuckin faggot

  • @jifyum07 No need for that really :/

  • @LyriaNightwalker yea hu... did you see that guy's comment?

  • @jifyum07 Oh yeah OMFGJHGDDCIWE Someone likes Glee and prefers that version better than the original :/ call the cops. No need for such language especially offensive like 'faggot' it's inapproriate. It's not clever and doesn't make you look like a 'badman'.

  • @LyriaNightwalker huh wow... i dont recall ever trying to be a badman or clever, i was just calling the dude a faggot... see now you're being a faggot bu overreacting to nothing, good job.

  • @jifyum07 I'm not overreacting you moron. Seriously if you were anymore mindless you'd have to be watered twice a week. A faggot is a slur for a gay man, a traditional dish in south and mid wales and a brach or twig or a bundle of them. Don't recall liking Glee or insulting you making someone one of these. Why did you call them a faggot? It isn't your place to insult someone based on their opinion of a song. Nice job making a tit out of yourself, you're a bit of a tosser really aren't you?

  • @LyriaNightwalker lmao see that comment was a very faggot-esque comment, and stop overreacting

  • @jifyum07 Don't tell me what to do. 'Faggot-esque'? Making things up now because you don't have a proper retaliation? Pathetic. Much like your original comment.

  • @LyriaNightwalker holy shit youre still responding? lmao did i really get to you that much? damn dude it's sad that youre trying to make all these logical points when this isnt even a serious argument, it's just one person trying to see how mad they can get the other person to be

  • @jifyum07 Not trying to make them. I am making logical points. You're still responding aren't you? Unless I picked up your comment through a telepathic network that is. Darn I hate it when I do that.

  • @LyriaNightwalker alright at first i was just seeing how mad i could get you but now this is just getting sad... so I'm going to be the bigger man and drop it, bye.

  • @jifyum07 LOL You called yourself a man! More like a scared little boy who's balls haven't dropped.

  • @LyriaNightwalker dude stop being such an annoying brat and just let it drop.

  • @ucantw84inspiration Have 'let it drop'. There isn't any need for the language. 'Annoying brat' ahhh so when someone is sticking up for someone who is being called a 'fuckin faggot' for an opinion, which is probably something you do yourself, is an 'annoying brat' then so be it. Knobshite

  • @LyriaNightwalker shit dude sorry I thought I sent that comment to the other fella

  • @ucantw84inspiration No worries I apologise for hurtful comments :)

  • Brilliant!

  • This is a really version. Where is all the background music?

  • LISTEN TO THE SANTANA COVER!!!!

  • @hombreg1 why?

  • @tdavidc80 because it's rather awsome too....

  • its nice to hear classics like this. Im 27 yrs old and I honestly cant stand the newer crap that comes on the radio these days. music like this or simon and garfunkel, or good old clapton, was the music that mattered. nowadays its all about the hit single. No soul, No inspiration. Just the same old garbage wit a different name.

  • definitely not the original...

  • Who in the shit watches GLEE? The original versions are better and I do the songs

exactly like teh record and I do not perform any songs I cannot duplicate down to the

original voice , even if it might be by the same band. I mimic and that is why I had a

top 40 band. The songs have to be exact or you will get booooood of the stage.

  • @marquisdvillard i still watch glee wat den now and no some of the glee reamkes are better than the originals

  • @marquisdvillard You can't just listen to song remakes and expect them to sound exactly the same, because everyone has different styles!! Look at Santana; they made a remix of this song 20 years after this came out, like an uprising, and they sound NOTHING like The Zombies, but it's still POPULAR. Would you say the same for them?? I think not.

  • @marquisdvillard you know, i never understood that. I mean: why would i want to hear someone mimic perfectly a band if i could just hear the band itself?

Its not about which one is better, that goes w every person. Its about making a tribute to your idol, expressing yourself in a song that helped through a moment. I think that, if you are going to cover someone, you need to make it right. How? Doing different. Putting yourself into it.

  • I personally love both versions. For a song that came out 30-40 years before I was born... this is a banger. But what is this song about???

  • Love :)

  • THANK YOU finally a version without the screaming of girls now i can blow up my speakers :D

  • @pglive1987 You're welcome =)

  • @Maariee great thanks

  • @pglive1987 Amen to that!!! LOL xo

  • Why do people have to fight about who's better? Glee or the originals.

Glee did a good job and The Zombies are amazing. So, I'm saying I like Glee's version but I love The Zombies as well. Doesn't mean I'm gonna have a fit when someone says they prefer or don't like one of them. Just listen to the music and if someone doesn't like it, then why the fudge are they here?!

  • @xDestiel

Omg someone who isn't an elitist and just likes music in general. =) Yay for no hate! =D

  • @xDestiel

    But Glee's version sucks
