  • i remember listening to this on my 45 minute bus ride to high school my freshman year blitzed out of my mind. always a good morning.

  • For those reason and others I would have to say this album had a huge influence on me growing up. 38 now and I can hear why I loved it so much.

  • Got this on vinyl still, played it on many pre-nights out, it was frickin mesmorising, music sucked up town after listening to this before heading out, back then I always wished there was some kind of Aphex Twin club you could head to lol

  • I swear this entire album is just brilliant. Each song makes even the smallest things seem so meaningful and intense. I was just listening to this while playing solitaire and I seriously felt like the games outcome would change world history.

  • @YarbTheLegend Yes that's a nice feeling

  • why does this song remind me of watching x-files at night with lights off except for the t.v. Great ambience by richard

  • Okay, who's the idiot that disliked this?

  • I remember buying this when i was a 17yr kid. I am now knocking on 37yrs. How I wish i was as timeless as this track.......................

  • david guetta is WAYYYYYYYYYYY better

  • @DavidGuettaPwnsAll Lol to you sir.

  • @DavidGuettaPwnsAll you're dreaming if you think that cheesemeister is in the same league as AFX

  • @DavidGuettaPwnsAll I think just reading your comment made my IQ drop.

    Fuck off and die

  • PURE BLISS!

  • this song, i believe, might be a sample from a Russian song called: "Nas Ne Dagoniat" (Translated: "They will not catch up to us"). If you listen to 0:52 of Nas Ne Dagoniat, you will probably hear what i am talking about. check it out for yourself!!!

    Still a great song!

  • @FreeBeDrug Pretty similar, yes!

  • @FreeBeDrug

This came out way before that song was produced.

  • @TheShledge You might be right.

  • @FreeBeDrug

This album was released around 1992. Nas Ne Dagoniat was released around 2000-20001.

  • @TheShledge So do you think that Nas Ne Dagoniat sampled this song? Or is there a common sound from which both songs we are talking about drew inspiration from?

  • @FreeBeDrug

They sound nothing alike. Vaguely similar melody, but definitely not sampling. To be honest you'd have to be tone deaf to think they're the same.

  • @TheShledge I know you probably think of yourself as a person with an ear for music, but i have to disagree with your analysis. While the two songs are obviously not the same, they definitely sound similar, and you'd be lying to yourself to say they didn't sound similar. In any case, i don't really care at all for that matter what your uneducated, pompous little head thinks. If i wanted an argument, i would be a lawyer, so please fuck off.

  • @FreeBeDrug

So disagreeing with you is apparently makes me "uneducated and pompous". Get over yourself.

You argued this was based off a later song first of all, and you insist both sound very similar when in reality the melody is only vaguely similar. When I disagreed with the latter, you spat the dummy.

So if anything, "uneducated and pompous" really applies more to you.

  • @TheShledge fuck off troll, what part of that don't you understand?

  • @FreeBeDrug and @TheShledge You both sound like a couple of children arguing over a toy. Just shut up and grow up for fuck's sake!

  • sounds like it should have been on the X files.

  • i'm so chilled out right now i think my heart has stopped :/

  • Damn great tune :)

  • Oh man, I need to get my hands on this Album.

  • i love his ideas...they are very captivating....he captures this funk with soul and heart mixed with some noises that make me wonder what made him want to put such a silly sound in such a deep song....but when the sound hits the humor turns too quickly and then its gone.....he honestly is the only artist who puts a smile on my face....i am amsed

  • This tune wraps me in some kind of drum&bass blanket...i can't get enough of the synths, takes me somewhere eyes closed every time

  • richards music makes me expand my perception of life.

  • the bass amp always sounds like it's gonna explode with aphex twin... it's fucking mega!!

  • I genuinely think this is what you would hear if you managed to visit another planet.

    Otherworldly genius.

  • @beyou5 This would be number one in their charts for years. :)

  • This + Unreal = Orgasm

  • @Spartan117A1

Wow, now that you mention it, they really do go together!

  • This is fucking picturesque...

  • No dislikes (:

  • Richard D Genius

  • remember this is 1992 folks!

  • sounds kind of like a mysterious tune. great stuff. unsolved mysteries RDJ style.

  • life is so much better with the music of Aphex Twin.

  • I'm so glad this man excicsts

  • @Madhijz Its just exist. Just for future reference ;).. yeah and me too

  • This creepy ass track is as good as this album gets. Which is pretty fucking epic.

  • This goes in my space music collection.

  • FUCKING FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic, really good feeling in this one

  • DAMN THIS IS A GOOD ALBUM.

    im glad i bought it-

i think its sister album with boards of canada is twoism, which is also really good in a similar way.

  • I'd have to say Xtal is still the best in my opinion.

  • best track on the album, hands down

  • totally agree..... I remember an interview with him talking around the quality of the "master tapes" which were actually made on cassette and he stated the audio quality was shit....... tendency to rip the piss out the musical fraternity but this track was amazing
