how would anyone recommend practice thee FADC with a playstation controller? cuz it gets really hard with a character like GUY or DEE JAY if anyone has any tips tht would be great
What I don't get (please someone reply) is that since you can already cancel special moves with supers or ultras like you said in your combos tutorial, why not do that instead of burning 2 ex bars? is it the positioning or what?
You can not cancel a special move into an Ultra. It is also impossible to cancel a special move into another special move, which is only possible with FADC (even though strictly speaking that's not a cancel anymore) under certain conditions.
@TBirdSF4 Sagat can Tiger Knee into Super. The opponent when hit in the air by the first Tiger Knee is left vulnerable, and then the rest of Sagat's Tiger Knee after the hit is cancelled and pulled into his Super resulting in the Super hitting the opponent in the air. This can even be easily done on the pad.
@kaizt Just practice, no magic inputs or anything. Break it down into steps, ie with ryu: start with shoryuken -> focus attack, do like 100 reps a day until you get over 95% accuracy, should only take a week or so, and also work on focus attack dash ultra.
@linuxwolf thx dude, i managed to pull off rising jaguar fadc jaguar avalanche 5 times after 3 hours of repetition. turns out i was so focused on getting the speed right that i screwed up the ultra motion all the time. it actually worked when i took my eyes off the screen and looked at my hands while doing it.
im far from doing it in a match, but it will come eventually.
I would also love to see some character specific tutorials, but I suppose that's what forums/practice is for. As far as it concerns your vids, the character specific examples that you point out already begin to accomplish this. Great vids, I hope they gain views quickly.
I stumbled on your SRK thread and watched all of these vids. (went back and liked 'em all just now too) Good stuff, and I hope that u start moving into the defensive aspect of the game. (although so much of it is instinct and mind games...) But similar 2 how execution becomes second nature when the commands are discovered and practiced, maybe a defensive oriented vid could show the various outcomes that the player could practice. I dunno what you'll cover next, but i'm sure it'll be elucidating.
Well done, I already knew about the system for SF4 but this is a great tool for beginners to use. Props to you and I hope you put out more of these to help the less experienced players.
this is a great tutorial, you explained it perfectly and very simply. I have done some reading and saw a few videos but yours is the first I've seen to present FADC so clearly. Thanks!
there are better ways of explaining missed points in a beginners level theory video, rather than calling names, and pointing out that 'you can do it better'
Great tutorials! I know a lot of what you're covering, but I'm still learning things that I never knew, such as shortcut commands. I would love to see more videos about general play and thought processes, such as how to approach opponents and what mental strategies should be implemented during a match. Thanks again, you're awesome!
Thank you so much for doing these. I've been out of SF since alpha 2 and they've helped me so much to improve my game just knowing what to look for in other players and I'm sure they'll help even more once I spend more time practicing execution.
Great tutorial video again. Just as a suggestion you may want to put a link to the thread on SRK in the description box or put an annotation in at the end of the video which links it to the thread.
Cammy's sexy thumbs up if u agree

@Aggronistheman97 I don't really think there is any way to teach ultra imputs. You just need to practice!

@TBirdSF4 oh damn. You said in your first vid that you can cancel specials with supers and I assumed you could with ultras as well.. :(
Thanks for the info and keep making awesome tutorials like these :)

I have removed the post by 6o9tenstars.
I do not accept any insults in the comments of my video.
Especially not, if someone calls me a scrub but doesn't know the game himself.
My video is correct. Ken cannot Shoryuken-FADC-Full Ultra unless counterhit, antiair or focus crumple. I rechecked this information.
