  • man i like the way you think

  • hi did you make that cage . if you did how much time did it you to finish it . please tell the materials and the dimensions thank you.

  • its best to use a first year hen and keep her with the cock goldfinch through the winter befor the breeding season starts.

  • they don't come any reder then you see in the video

  • hi, how did it go with the pair of the goldfinch and the female canary, cause after my experience if a female canary knows of the existing male canary, it would be hard to get her to except the goldfinch...

  • hi i am interested in the red factor canaries.

and i have a question, how red do they get naturaly? can you please sent me a picture of the redest natural color? PLEASE

    thanx.

  • Hi the only thing that would make your hens moult is a unnatural change in temp my birds are in an outside shed with no heating even through the winter so they will only moult at the right time of the year. Your hens have started a false moult so they are now out off breading condition and will not bread again this year. you cannot colour your birds with beet juice it was tried in the early days and has no affect on the feathers you must use carafill red.

  • hi dear Glynmer I am from UK Essex, i have 4 pairs of defrent breeds of canaries i have a pair of red factor the are from last year but they were breeded in january this year and they have a baby as well i give them red colore with water and beet juice whitch is very red is that ok or no ? now i want to leave them for breeding but the hen is molting . i have another pair of white timbrado and the hen has started molting as well can i ask you what to do ? should i separate them or leave them

  • yes some hens will lay eggs in the breeding season without being with a cock bird but they are of course not fertile, you can check you eggs my holding them up to a bright light after about 7 days sitting on them if you and see through the egg it is infertile but if the egg appease solid and up cannot see through it has a chick inside this procedure in known as candling

  • i bought a male & female canary and the male was singing when i got it then i did the breeding procedure i kept the m away from eachother for 7 days and when i put'em together they kept fighting . after that the male that i bought laid eggs??!!.I think i bought 2 females is this right &can i check if the eggs have got babies in them.by the way do they have to mate to lay eggs or they just lay eggs in the breeding season.

    PLEASE HELP ME I'M CONFUSED

  • No the hen and cock eat the seed and soft food supplied and then they Regurgitate the mix to there young, they receive this mix for about 4-6 weeks until they can feed themselves on the soft food provided, they will pick up small seeds but cannot brake the shell on canary seed until they are mutch older.

  • the yellow is a vitamin and minrel added to the water befor and during the breeding season.

  • why is the water yelloww??

  • the cock bird is the only one to sing with a full voice the hens sometimes try but not a full song and very quite also take note of how they behave the cocks are more aggresive at breeding time comes around.

  • how can u tell the male from female? without dna test

  • what materail u give to to use for the nest

  • hi take a look at all the vids of my breeding season 2010 you it may give you some tips on how to go on next year.

you can keep a cock and hen together all year if you like there are no set rulls the birds will get on with breeding at the right time of year as they have done in the wild for as long as birds have lived on this planet.
