Jeff, I have never seen this explained before and I couldn't agree more.
Social Networking is suppose to be about sociallizing I thought, but as you mention... all people wanna do is force their business in your face.
Branding yourself is a great description and if you take care of your subscribers and your list, the business will take care of it self.
Always nurture your list Jeff and help them find their way, it's a great feeling helping someone succeed isn't it.
