I think Fantasia did what American Idol asked of her. Their always saying if your gonna do someonelses song put your own signature on it, and she did a gospel rendition of "It's A Miricle" and it sounds nothing like the original. Big points for Fantasia on this song.

Question...WHAT IN THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO AMERICAN IDOL! This was hands down the best singer...the show has gone downhill...season 6was a damn disaster and this season isnt too much better..I stopped watching after I heard all top 24 sing. Clearly Fantasia, Jennifer, Latoya and Frenchie (and maybe a few others such as Paris, George, Reuben, Katherine, Kelly, Vonzell and Elliot) are the only ones that really made you appreciate American Idol. The rest are good looking average singers AT BEST!

I completely agree with you. Since season 5, nobody has been truly outstanding except Melinda and the show has become the battle of the teeny boppers and not a real talent competition.

Now I can see why she was in the bottom 2. Not because the performance was bad, but because of the cutaway shots of her family backstage and bringing her daughter on stage. Thats just not fair to everyone else and they were obviously trying to give her an advantage.

fantasia didn't need an advantage..she was in the top spot until she brought her daughter up on stage. Then fantasia Jennifer Hudson and Latoya London were all in the bottom three!So it cost her some votes not helped. And they were the 3 best out of the whole group! Then Jennifer went home.

I remember as this season was airing, it seemed that the band could not wait til Tasia came out. She made them want to do good for her and they enjoyed it as much as we did. You could see that on the face of the drummer when they showed his face on the song "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" I love this chick so much! I wish that this is the kinda material we could get on her future cd's..put the other stuff away.
