In Hebrew there are no numbers. Therefore they used letters just as in Latin (Roman Numerals).
In Hebrew the "numbers " for 600 60 and 6 spell "Nero Caesar". Do the math!
It is NOT some future "Boogy man", it was Nero and he is dead... get over it!

2nd: the New Testament interprets the Old. (Basic Hermeneutics 101)
3rd: I agree the Roman Empire of the first 7 Caesars are being emphasized - BUT the number is clearly a MAN's name.
Find out for yourself - look up the numbers in Hebrew and tell me what letters they are.

Nero was living at the time Rev was written:
Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Nero was the 6th Caesar (thus 666 fits). The Caesar after him was Galba and only ruled 3-4 months - "a short space".
Nero was killed by his own body guard (after Nero chickened out of suicide) by a knife thrust through his head -

Luk 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
The context is the Fall of Jerusalem, and the warning to flees to the mountains. Jesus is telling the disciples (not 21st century disciples) "that ALL things written" - that's OT prophecy - will be fulfilled in the Fall of Jerusalem.

I must be mistaken, you have not read Daniel and Revelation? You made it sound like you have. I assumed based on the scriptures you have brought up that you have read both books. I have many times. Now this is what I am saying to you, you do not correctly understand the prophecies. We are talking about the SAME scriptures so to say I am not bringing scripture is not correct. You interpretation is wrong. That is what I am telling you

Is another Empire to follow Rome? Did I miss it? If not then it's fall was centuries ago and Christ now reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords... and has crushed it.
Did Jesus say all things written were to be fulfilled by 70 AD or not? please explain your hermeneutic.

It is revived like I said he has a false prophet and the false prophet causes the mark of the beast not the Antichrist. the false prophet can perform miracles even to cause the elect to be deceived. the Antichrist will come against Israel and FAIL. the rest of the world will rebel on the Antichrist and destroy his seat. At last WW3, or as the Bible calls it Armageddon or Meggido. He will gather armies to that place after the Euphrates dries up and is killed. None of those things happened to Nero

Again, Chapter and verse? and your exegesis? I'm not being sarcastic - it is important that we beleive things with scriptural proof.
Israel, according to the NT, is the Church. "Antichrist" were those who denied that Jesus is God the Son, in the flesh... ie "Jews"- the first enemies of the Church.
The Revelation was not written for the Church of the 21st century as much as it was for the 60 - 70 AD churches - the 1st few verses tell who it was for and why.

Actually it is Jeurusilim where the anti-christ will hold power the beast and the anti christ are two different entities with the same agenda if that makes sense to you, the beast is a geoligical s;pot on the map that has been ruled by a s;pecific "church" whereas the anti-christ is a being. The beast has already been in power the anti christ is yet to come the beast laid the groundwork for him I'm sure I'm not 100% on that but that's as good as I can explain it.

1Co 15:25, 26 "For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death".
The future of the Church and the world is that all the enemies of Christ will be under His feet BEFORE He returns. There is no dark future of some "one-world ninny" ruling all... Christ is the ruler of the world - since His Resurrection (Matt 28:18).
When He returns Death will be destroyed and that is the Resurrection !

You have yet to answer my q... to explain your hermeneutic... since Revelation was written to the church - before 67AD - so how is it possible John was telling them things that had nothing to do with them? Really, ? you think John was telling them something about OUR time - 2000 years into the future that has nothing to do with them?? how do you stretch it that far ?

The part about us not eating out on sundays so that we don't force someone to work on a Sunday is a crock in this society. You may as well take it to the extreme that the pharasies did when they tried to convict Jesus of working on the Sabath for picking grain for Himself and His desciples to eat. I do agree that the rapture is a questionable idiology. And that we are comming to a time of trials for Christ followers.
