I see your point, and I concur with your analysis of my analysis, but I think part of my original comment got cut when I pasted it, I was referring to online play. The part that cut off is that 1, 2, and 3 should stay in the ranked match section, whereas 3 and 4 should help each other get better aquainted with this game under the player match section. Also when playing online, or in the arcade, when a 1 steps into the game, most people typically quit the game to never touch it again.

I commend your use of IronMan's inf. combo, and I'd actually like to see it in action if you wouldn't mind giving me your gamertag (if you have a 360), and I'd also like a good ass-whupping to, because that's where the money in the game is. And the inf combo that's makes me shit bricks has to be Spiderman's hands down.

Cheating is defined as: a method or trick to make winning easier to obtain. This may seem true for inf.s, but tell me this, don't ALL infinites take some sort of skill? Can you learn it in a day? maybe some but Mag's, Storm's, etc. are all very hard to pull off, even when the opportunity occurs, will you know when to pull it? probably not. Inf.s are not at all cheap i use them on people and they use them on me, thats fair. Its a person's fault when they fail to block an attack, inf. r not CHEAP!

I play brawl (which isnt a fighting game) and some sf4. ive been to a few sf4 tournaments and alot of brawl. my main complaint is to the actual game design. if it were more balanced it would be funner to watch. I've read the book "playing to win" also by david sirlin.

yea you're right in that sense, my only arguement is that it makes the game more interesting if people have a chance with other characters. in SF4 or even SF2. you see a wide array of characters, almost all except bottom tier. so thus it depends on skill. people using lower tiered characters have a chance against top tier if their mind games are right.

people that can play top tier can play low tier just fine also. Playing top tier requires better timing better reflexes. Good defense and offense is need to play at this level. there are only a few tournament banned glitches like the gambit glitch, but otherwise all things like infinites are allowed with one exception of the dead-body infinite. This is a serious tournament game still after 8 years; see Evo 2008 matches by Ponder360
Magneto's super just eats your health away.. I swear that you get caught in one of those combo's, and he ends with grabbing you with the magnet and does the snowball special(or whatever its called) Youre pretty much dead.. Its devastating.. And Magnetos just so fucking fast. I hated playing against people that knew how to use him.. You were pretty much helpless against his assaults.
you can mash out of the hyper grav xx magnetic tempest super. Just hit lp/lk/hp over and over while wiggling left to right as the hyper grav hits and you will mash out of it. don't forget to block when you mash out.
It's best to hit them separately. If I remember correctly, hitting them all at once is taken in as one input and you want to register the maximum of 3 for 3 button presses to maximize efficiency of mashing to pop out.
This game could be broken...but it takes a lot of skill to do the shit some of these people do. GASPS...you actually HAVE TO BE GOOD to pull of those infinite(s) and resets. It's not just pick up and play and exploit "broken" mechanics. It really does take a lot of practice.

Like I said, this game is likely very broken. But just because someone mashes, doesn't mean they're going to win. This game is all about assists and the exploitations of it's broken mechanics. And strategy? They concentrate on the moment and not what happens 5 or 10 seconds later.
what i meant about 10 seconds ahead is that they dont plan a set up....I know 10 seconds are awfully a lot, I exaggerated.... but my criticism is based on the comparison with SF:3S.... for example if chun is in a corner and u are using makoto u know u have to think what to do... u are right abour what u said, is just that for me there is not to much depth or strategy in this game at certain point of level... just spam spam and spam...
I do agree that you do have to spam to a certain level. But, my point is that it takes a lot of skill to compete on the level of these guys. And I think it's agreeable that SF3 and this are completely different fighting games. This game is FAST. You basically act and react in the game. That's not to say there isn't strategy in the game, though, cause there is. And the game does have depth albeit "broken."

This is why the only good VS fighting games were X-men vs Street fighter and Marvel vs Street fighter. MVC introduced stupid helpers, which lead up to MVC2 dumbing down the combos and this 3 on 3 BS and people only use 1 person and the other 2 teammates are just spammed, which takes away the true fighting style. If a new VS game comes out it better be the classic 2 on 2 tag battle.
I say they do it semi-KOF99-2001 style and kick it up to 4 vs 4. 3 players tag, and one is a striker/assist. add in all the unplayable helpers from MVC, throw Norimaro in and add those characters from the MVC3 fake screenshot.

I got a video called: Easy Iron Man combos on my channel as well as a few ranked matches i played.

Cheating is defined as: a method or trick to make winning easier to obtain. This may seem true for inf.s, but tell me this, don't ALL infinites take some sort of skill? Can you learn it in a day? maybe some but Mag's, Storm's, etc. are all very hard to pull off, even when the opportunity occurs, will you know when to pull it? probably not. Inf.s are not at all cheap i use them on people and they use them on me, thats fair. Its a person's fault when they fail to block an attack, inf. r not CHEAP!

heh im aware, im just being synical when i say it. I play brawl (which isnt a fighting game) and some sf4. ive been to a few sf4 tournaments and alot of brawl. my main complaint is to the actual game design. if it were more balanced it would be funner to watch. I've read the book "playing to win" also by david sirlin.

More balanced? well if everyone or at least most people use High - god tier teams then isn't that kinda fair? MSP vs MSS or RowTron vs Scrub is pretty fair dontcha think? Btw i've never heard of a book "Playing to win". SF4 is pretty balanced but in MvC2 with most to everyone using good characters, that kinda balanced in its own way right?

yea you're right in that sense, my only arguement is that it makes the game more interesting if people have a chance with other characters. in SF4 or even SF2. you see a wide array of characters, almost all except bottom tier. so thus it depends on skill. people using lower tiered characters have a chance against top tier if their mind games are right.
check out "playing to win" by David Sirlin one of the sf2 champs of his time.

hahahahahaaaa did u realy look at that second infinite he did with ironman he didnt assist to start besides just cuz u assist in a combo dont mean u suck.i can keep every combo going with an assist or without one if i really wated to. and infinites are actually hard to do. but without infinites im just as sick because once u learn them u find out alot of stuff about the game..

people that can play top tier can play low tier just fine also. Playing top tier requires better timing better reflexes. Good defense and offense is need to play at this level. Low tier dont require as much skill. Sure people may agree that low tier is more fun but u cant say people that play this way is bad or sucks.

but pretty much everyone on the game has crazy combos like that even the low characters. i love going against high tiers with my low it makes me laugh lol. depends on how good u are with a character. not really the tier. u just gotta do more work sometimes lol.

there are only a few tournament banned glitches like the gambit glitch, but otherwise all things like infinites are allowed with one exception of the dead-body infinite. This is a serious tournament game still after 8 years; see Evo 2008 matches by Ponder360

Magneto's super just eats your health away.. I swear that you get caught in one of those combo's, and he ends with grabbing you with the magnet and does the snowball special(or whatever its called) Youre pretty much dead.. Its devastating.. And Magnetos just so fucking fast. I hated playing against people that knew how to use him.. You were pretty much helpless against his assaults.

you can mash out of the hyper grav xx magnetic tempest super. Just hit lp/lk/hp over and over while wiggling left to right as the hyper grav hits and you will mash out of it. don't forget to block when you mash out.

It's best to hit them separately. If I remember correctly, hitting them all at once is taken in as one input and you want to register the maximum of 3 for 3 button presses to maximize efficiency of mashing to pop out.

This game could be broken...but it takes a lot of skill to do the shit some of these people do. GASPS...you actually HAVE TO BE GOOD to pull of those infinite(s) and resets. It's not just pick up and play and exploit "broken" mechanics. It really does take a lot of practice.
Ban Magneto? Why don't some of you complaining pick him and see how hard it is to actually do some this stuff.

Dude...where do you think muscle memory comes from? Practice, practice, practice. You think guitarists think about shredding? No, they do it by muscle memory because they practice.
Like I said, this game is likely very broken. But just because someone mashes, doesn't mean they're going to win. This game is all about assists and the exploitations of it's broken mechanics. And strategy? They concentrate on the moment and not what happens 5 or 10 seconds later.

what i meant about 10 seconds ahead is that they dont plan a set up....I know 10 seconds are awfully a lot, I exaggerated.... but my criticism is based on the comparison with SF:3S.... for example if chun is in a corner and u are using makoto u know u have to think what to do... u are right abour what u said, is just that for me there is not to much depth or strategy in this game at certain point of level... just spam spam and spam...

I do agree that you do have to spam to a certain level. But, my point is that it takes a lot of skill to compete on the level of these guys. And I think it's agreeable that SF3 and this are completely different fighting games. This game is FAST. You basically act and react in the game. That's not to say there isn't strategy in the game, though, cause there is. And the game does have depth albeit "broken."

personally i plan out what i do because i have so many different combos and infinites i can do i play with like everyone on the wole game n still learning. so i have to think about what imma do when i choose my teams and when im playing and it also depends on which characters im fighting. so it takes alot of thinking and also reaction. thats why they call some set ups and resets. u understand this right? know u do cuz u correcting someone

OH MY GOD!!!!!! Peer Ownage but in a cheap way. Out of all the damn characters they could had put in this game, they put sentinel, Magento, and Storm in this unbalance cut and paste P.O.S Magneto and sentinel are the cheapest characters of all. This is why the only good VS fighting games were X-men vs Street fighter and Marvel vs Street fighter. MVC introduced stupid helpers, which lead up to MVC2 dumbing down the combos and this 3 on 3 BS and people only use 1 person and the other 2 teammates are just spammed, which takes away the true fighting style. If a new VS game comes out it better be the classic 2 on 2 tag battle.

I say they do it semi-KOF99-2001 style and kick it up to 4 vs 4. 3 players tag, and one is a striker/assist. add in all the unplayable helpers from MVC, throw Norimaro in and add those characters from the MVC3 fake screenshot.
