  • I think instead of producing the new beetle vw should make these again, but with things like air conditioning and power steering as option.

Because they are a lot more retro than the new beetles.

  • Have a 2001 mexican beetle its sad they stopped making the little buggers, They are truely great cars.

  • God that language sounds horrible.

  • The woman speaks Dutch. I am Dutch too. So thank you...

By the way, the male voice-over later in this spot is German.

  • @beetlejuice150

    Sorry, never liked the language.

German sounds sharp, very direct, Dutch sounds like you are trying to talk with about 20 marbles in your mouth.

  • I'll shut my mouth, and have another marble...

  • @mrceebees14 sounds like German with hints of English to me.

  • @mrceebees14 Thats your opinion. You're wrong.

  • @RedRoosterRoad Nice contradiction there ha.

  • @mrceebees14

Ga dan dood jo, stuk schimmel!

    Ouwe knouwert, kak yank.

We are smart, multi language, we know the difference between someone who speaks Spanish and someone who speaks Itallian... You can't even hear the difference between the Dutch and German language...

Maar verder wel een leuk filmpje, ik was in Tsjechie toen ik het op de Duitse TV (sateliet) zag... wist eerst niet dat ze nog gemaakt werden, vond het wel erg jammer dat ze uit productie gingen! :(

  • @HUMMFREAK The hell you can't, there is a BIG difference between the sound of German and Dutch.

I never said the Dutch were intelligent, I said the language sounded awful.

  • Perfection discontinued.

  • this is dutch

  • Very very said they stoped making the real vw bugs in 1979 i think it was, I'd do anything to have them make them again!

  • mee 2, i am very sad. i love the beetle!!

  • The patents have prolly expired, just start making them. How can they stop you.

  • We'll have to ad airbags, and a little converter to the exaust, but I think we could do it.

  • Yup, I thought the same thing here in Mexico. But you know, when the Chevy came (a small car made by Opel) was the begining of the end for the bug. Just because of the Chevy had air conditioner, hydraulic stearing, more space and it was faster.

Still I think a bug is a bug and nothing compares with that nice and friendly looking car. And of course, there were lots of things we could have improoved (like a 100 amp alternator). That's why i´m keeping my bug, I love it!...

  • 1975 already saw the start of the cat-back system buddy!

  • such as sad day :(

  • in the beginning is it Swedish? it sounds like they're playing it backwards

  • Hahaha! No it's a news item in The Netherlands. She actuelly speaks Dutch!

  • It sounds like German to me and if you listen closly, you'll hear at least 21referance to Adolf Hitler: 0:26

  • The language is Dutch, not German. There is a reference indeed, where she explains that it was actually Hitler who ordered production of the KdF Wagen, or beetle...

  • From 0:41 the language is German. Before it's Dutch. Not a very big difference.

  • There are two things in the world, which have a beginning, but don't have an end...a plastic bag and a chewing gum...:\

  • que dia tan triste.... hasta dan ganas de llorar!!

  • That was a sad day. Can't believe it has been over Five years now.
