The fact that you are on a horse is only one problem. The fact about how trained it is, is irrelevant. You are using the chainsaw in a completely unsafe manner, and your cutting technique is improper!
Just because it is your way of life, does not make it a proper way!
I urge you to discuss this with your chainsaw dealer next time you are in for service or parts and see what he thinks of the way you cut that tree ... then you will see that i'm not just trying to be an a-hole here.
that is the stupidest thing i have seen in a long time. Not only are you cutting that log from the wrong side (the one where you risk getting it pinched had that piece been longer) but you are ON A HORSE!

I love our horses and the way we train them as for us its not about the side you do it on or the task you ask it is how broke the horse is. Sorry you feel this is dumb, this is not our first time, this is our life!
