Great tips man! I DJ at some of the hottest clubs in my town and I'm just now getting into weddings. I have my first one coming up in 2 weeks (kind of nervous lol).... I mix house and dubstep so this is definitely going to be a change. Keep the videos coming!
@ScrewedupDJPlays The biggest thing to remember is at a club people are going to see u do your thing, at a wedding people are going their to see the bride & groom do their thing, and your just a catalyst to the fun...In the beginning of the night follow the crowd with music, then after you have them, take em on a journey. B sure to talk slow on the mic and keep it conversational. Don't think of it as talking to a large group of people, just talking to a couple of your friends. Best of Luck!
This is Dj Dirty, I think your tips are very helpful. Ive been a Dj for 4 yrs Ive done weddings, house parties, sweet sixteens, and some how Ive alway6s messed up on my line, what Ive had to say. " Im not very good at public speaking, but getting better. Thanks again. Dj Dirty.
Love this video.. and it has been very helpful. I have been trying to find videos and tips to help me be a better Wedding Emcee and this video has helped tremendously. If you have any more tips regarding the wedding reception Emcee i would truly appreciate it!
Wow, very nice! You are very good with your mic work. This is one of the main things that I am looking to improve upon this wedding season. I agree so much with your suggestion to have your mic "poppin' hot". I like to have alot of highs in my mic during the intros, and take down the treble on the background song playing. The inflection part was also an excellent point.
hey chris thanks for the tips i have my first wedding coming up, and im a newbie so this will be my biggest challenge, your tips were very helpful, keep those videos coming.
The part where you hold the mic like a rapper actually shows up as the picture that represents this video haha

Hi. Liked your tips. The last tip was most important, good practice (not just practice) makes perfect.
Cheers!
