bigpeter405 im a true rookie I have 2 months with my roll off pete the max i carried was about 7 tons. how can u tell when its safe. so that box wont tilt over and some people had told me to release all the air from the bags to be safe u think is true. please give me some tips.
lilpete405.You did hold he brake at 1st and you know you did. You cant tell me or anybody else who knows ROLF that a 20yd full of dirt cant pull that truck backwards, I have been doing this for over 20yrs with a perfect safety record and the highest productivity in the entire southeast region and won 1st place in the SWANA Nat'l Truck Rodeo 2yrs for the 2nd largest trash co in the U.S. and have been a Driver Trainer for the last 9yrs so bragging about your little 5yrs of exp is not impressive!
@zfunishere1 for starters I could give two shits about your trophies or your perfect driving record stick em up your ass, second off dont talk to me like im your equal or a bitch.. if u wanna go that route find me at englishtown during diesel nationals and confront me I dont talk shit over the computer. 3rd its a 60,000 lb hoist the winch couldnt pick the box up it was stuck no brakes I had to drop the rails in order to get leverage to pick the box up. There is always a hater or two on youtube.
@bigpete405 hey good job , i like your truck hoist pistons they look very stable.. the way you do this pick up save the driveway, never left marks good job ..
Mack trucks can't be beat for that kind of weight, being double framed, but damn dude you should'nt hold the brake when you do that because the button will pop off the end of that cable. Let the cable pull the truck under the box. I p/u a 40yd once full of sand & concrete and crossed the scale @ 112,000lbs. A guy was standing next to the front of my truck and said the bottom of my tire was 2" over his head, and he was 5"11" We call that "Nothin' But Sky"
@zfunishere1 im convinced people who leave comments on youtube really dont watch the same video. There are absolutely no brakes being applied what so ever!!! 5 years driving overweight permit trucks no accidents or snapped cables. I have a great reputation on long island for that reason.
Sick! At my company we only use roll offs, that way you don't have to leave a dump on site all the time. We do this a lot but not this heavy! Great driving! From driver to driver I know what kind of skill this takes!
@tundraguy02 truck had overweight permit for 79000 it was 16000lbs overweight. No doubt it was way heavy and illegal, but I drove 30-40mph and did my best to be safe.. Believe me there are assholes that wouldve drove like it was a empty box and killed a bunch of people.
@shmaltz Thanks bro. 3 years on the job so far I had alot of cool experiences at work. You know what it's all about us garbage men gotta stick together.
I remember lifting heavy bins like this but I was using the dyno system which took longer as you had to reach for each stage. I've seen some trucks with a rear stabilizer roller to take some of weight off the rear axle. Would you say the rails would have been better positioned a little closer to the cab as all the weight looked as though it was over the rear axles. For that kind of load we use twin steers with a bogie at the rear for better load sharing.
....big v8 and 16speed syncro gearbox also all parts are really robust
truck is with 3 side tipper body which is very strong it has 0.35inch thich side walls( interior +0.1 on outside) and floor and have 57000lbs rear axles which(same axles) are available as 70500lbs as option (they are hub reduction ....)
Truck seems to me very heavy(and looks weak) for his look( it looks very weak to me ) chassis is very small there is no subframe axles looks really small on a comparison to our axles.... I am interested in whether are they hub reduction
for example fathers one truck is weight same as this one it has 1´ frame and it is high strength double frame ( about 0.7inch thick) ....have ~8" high subframe
12x leaf trapez suspension on each front axles and T ride on rear 15x leaf suspension (8x4)
@scania98989 european trucks are different from american trucks. The spec on this truck are 335hp mack engine, mack 10speed transmission, 18kfront axle, 18klift axle, 44krears, and its double framed. In the U.S.A. macks are by far the most popular rolloff trucks for a reason THEY ARE BEASTS
Sometime last year I loaded a 30 yard full of someones burning pile, asphalt and dirt. It was slightly over 30 tons. That truck was a 2003 Mack Granite automatic.
I'm not sure why but I've always thought the automatics were less powerful but this truck was a beast. I still drive it and a 1987 Mack.
@XpaXorZ Thanks Bro. Yeah I'm friends with alot of other rolloff drivers who drive everything from autocars to western stars and they all agree that you cant kill the mack.
i can only imagine how much it would freak somebody out to do that the first time, and then have to learn to shimmy a truck underneath the box while its doing a freakin WHEELIE and working that winch as hard as it will go....good job getting that beast up onto the truck!
@chris71mach1 Thanks Chris. People think I intentionally tried to wheelie the mack in this video..(NOT TRUE) the winch wasnt able to pull anymore I actually had to lower the rails to get it off the ground. Thanks for the cool comment
just pull the bin on the truck first and the wheels would stay on the ground. crazy it's an old mack painted like a zebra. If i had to drive that for a living I would quit driving haha. I drive a cromed out kenwoth it would pull the ass right off that old mack motor.
I pick those 20 yds of dirt up all day all. in canada eh......
@lianhumby Don't speak to me like I'm a rookie bro. I didn't put this up for your expert advice. Thanks. I'm 25 years old and I drove more then 30 different models of trucks I know what I'm doing. Including kw's.

I seriously think this is the best garbage truck/roll off video I'v seen yet on u tube. it doesn't get any better than this. plus the mack granites are the meanest trucks out 10 star video
@nokia3750 The Granite cant hold a candle to a older DM. I run only 99 and older DM models. They will last forever. That is a bad ass truck though. I hate loads like that. They kill the truck.
Shit 95000lbs!!?!?!?!??!??! That's 42t in Aussie value... get caught by the roads & traffic authority = ultra fucked, probably go to jail! lol That's one seriously heavy load... looks like the chassis was about to snap when you lowered it fully. No need to say anything else about what caused that wheelie! Thanks for the share though, definitely entertaining!
Wheres your gloves, man? Doesnt your cable get frayed and greasy? Mine sure does. Do you charge the customer if you get an overweight? I bet a deadlift wouldn't pick that up.
my dad says the same thing about the gloves, I cut trees down for about 3-4 years and my hands are very callused, I check the truck, service, and grease it myself, so I know whats broken on it, the cable is fine still. On regular c+d boxs a 20 yarder would have a 4 ton weight limit, then an overweight charge for every ton afterwards. Dirt gets dumped by the yard so its a flat fee.
hey man great vid and u handled it well. where i work at my uncles roll off compnay some jack ass decided to fill up a 40yd full of dirt but we justt dumped it on his yard. we olny offer 10yd for dirt tho
nice one pete when i was workin for that roll off company back in spring we had to go pikc up a 20 yarder with sand we used one of the medium duty gmc6500 to get it but the automatic would not let us bring it out got stuck so we went back and brought the 94 mack rd and pulled it out no problem a lil bit of wheelie but what was bad was it pulled it soo good it ripped the freakin roots right out of the lawn and ripped it up bad lol good times hey man u should try to get a tripod too they help alot

That's funny that you think this takes skill, driving a roll off is a joke, I drove a Mack rb roll off for one summer and I can do this in my sleep.
