  • dude, sell the tablet get an iPad

  • Props on using the opera browser

  • Windows 7 is for free on:

    downloadblinks . c__O__M

  • joojoo, funny name =P

This tablet only play "too little, too late"?

    (This's was not funny ¬¬')

  • how much is it?

  • OMG! You can play GTA IV!!!

  • @SAMCAMJAIK1 Not quite, but it will be able to run source games and Call of duty 4

  • اهنيك

  • iPad FTW!

  • @thebayareapimp IpAD sUCKS.

  • @hussanali toda la razon.

  • I dont know about others but i think as i owned ipad and windows 7 tablet. The windows 7 is really slow on the netbooks and on the tablets as well if this was on the android may be it works faster than others. So i think its not a fault of tablet its windows 7 which runs slow on tablets but it is faster on proper computers. Any ways nice video

  • not smooth like the ipad

  • sooo this comes with windows 7 on it?or you install them?

  • how do you install Games/apps on this thing? Is there any Cd-rom or LAN port available on the device?? Or you have to stick to the wifi?

  • windows 7 tab, beats ipad in so many ways, sorry if i sound like a fanboy, but its true

  • Love my joojoo. I gotta say Ive had an ipad and apple theives as with all their products and employment within our country, The ipad is an overpriced iphone. The joojoo is the most beautiful sized tablet, runs excellent, and with windows 7, it becomes unbeatable. The 2nd gen will have android which will be horrible, android is horrible and acts like an old windows based program. Windows 7 & joojoo are smooth smooth, smooth, and not invasive:) like google.

  • Is it just me, or did I hear a mouse clicking every time you pushed on something?

  • AWSOME, Where can i buy this?

  • seriously i rather buy this than ipad

  • Bonjour ,

    c'est une réussite ! Bravo !

  • @terneuv Salut, prend le départ de son grand it:)

  • macosxmikey...10 hours and not one hour of watching a flash video...what i guess you want to just read the web...go and get a e-reader...bitch...lol

  • Did you use WintToFlash to install it? And does it run smoothly?

  • Nice demo. For even better virtual keyboard control, you could try installing my TipPopper program. It makes the keyboard appear when you touch designated text input fields and lets you show and hide the keyboard with the same pen flick.

  • Joojoo tablet 4 hours of battery. iPad about 10. I would know because I'm on it right now, bitches.

  • I would play gta on this all day!

  • Pas mal du tout, mais ça reste à optimiser pour le tactile. En tout cas largement plus de potentiel que l'iPad =)

  • They are shipping this tablet from Europe or outside ? Did you pay additional customs fee ?

  • This is better than iPad. iPad is just a big iTouch and this is just a small pc with a USB and that knocks iPad down. iPad was apples biggest fail just like vista was microsofts biggest fail.

  • One of the things (apart from the high price) that puts me off buying an iPad is that you are so limited as to what you can run on it, without it having the Apple stamp on it. Limited to apps, rather than just plain old free programs downloadable from the net. You can do pretty much anything you want on a windows based machine, play the sims 3 or produce a song using audacity if you like free stuff. Another thing is the lack of USB ports, you can get anything to plug into USB even humping dogs

  • This seems to be much smoother than the GNU/Linux OS the original was released with. Well done.

  • the touch is not exactly.. and windows made the machine slow.. but very nice tablet

  • Hey just ordered my joojoo so fingers crossed.

But how did you get multitouch working??

I read on the forum that only single touch is supported by the driver.

    many thanks

    Ronald

  • MS should get rid of the mouse cursor and resize all the icons. :D with the option to switch windows back to normal desktop view when there is mouse n kb input. :D

  • @jaspehh i agree!! that would be great!

  • Comment removed

  • im impressed that its running aero

  • how do you get windows 7 on the joojoo

  • whats the current price of the machine? any idea?

  • @saifkhantube $499 dont order on amozon for some reson its more expinsive O_o

  • Windows 7 is the best OS ever Microsoft had but still it lacks a lot of security stuff because of this old technology

    nice review and awesome tablet

  • Il serait intéressant de voir un jeu comme Call Of Duty 4 sur une tablette comme sa!

Il y a tout le matos nécessaire (Atom 270, ION) à part le SSD trop juste...

  • How much does it cost. when does it come out?

  • @kilerkade96 AFAIK the JooJoo is already out now, it's $500 USD.

  • Does it not support multi-touch? How do you right click??

  • Good :)

  • Flickers like a CRT

  • why so much noise for ipad the tech was here...

  • Cristiano ROnaldo sucks..

  • seems to run pretty good

aren't these joojoo things cheap too?

  • this is pretty good..maybe try windows 7 lite (the one for the notebooks)..

may allow better use of battery.

  • @r1sh12 Windows 7 starter have the same power management as all other W7

  • @Xetranet does it not use less resources?

  • @r1sh12 you can just have one application at the same time.

  • @Xetranet thanks for the info..

I wonder how many other OS's can be put on there...

  • Call me when it runs Snow leopard.

  • @yasir25119918 Done.

  • does it run with linux?

  • @4V14T10N Yes, I believe the Joojoo's default OS is Android (and a much better choice IMHO).

  • @4V14T10N yes, it run linux and osx, jolicloud ...

  • @Xetranet that's great.... if you show me it with linux oder android i might get one :D

  • @ShynePoe33 have a llok on thejoojooforum com there is ubuntu and android running on it.

You have to know the Joojoo is like a notebook (exactly the same architecture) so you can install what you want !

  • Tutorial please.

  • @Borridd

Tuto is available on thejoojooforum com

  • @Xetranet Direct link?

  • @kylerocks122333 not able to post url in youtube comment, have a look on thejoojoofourm com section custom os and post "install widows 7 mini howto"

  • JooJoo looks cool.

I agree with Steve Gibson. Pads are next!

  • nice one. if it wasn't for the price. Was it hard to get it installed?

  • that on screen keyboard is shit i have it on my HP touch smart and its fucking horible

  • wow is good!!!

  • whats the windows user index?

  • that's great!

  • it looks like it runs windows 7 nicely. but what applications can you realistically run on it? last time i went to best buy, software costs $10 or more. i think in the ipads defense and to a degree android tablets, people who complain about wanting a tablet with all the bells and whistles are just the same as that girl you know who will only go out with the guy who has the fancy car and the whole package. thankfully this unrealistic EXPECTATION does not negate ipads wonderful / powerful Apps.

  • awesome, opera ftw, anyways could you post up instructions at some point?

  • pretty awesome, do want!

  • thats impressive

  • why is it that windows 7 runs faster the JOOJOOs' native OS?

  • @crossforced

no, the joojoo has a nice ion nvidia graphics chip inside so windows 7 runs pretty smoothly.

  • The OS should be customized as some of the buttons seem to be too small for fingers

  • @turreu Baby steps

  • @turreu

yea youre right, but seeing as this guy in the video used it, it doesnt seem like its too much of a hastle...

  • impressive

looks to perform better then my core duo laptop lol i so need new tech

  • why they have to use windows 7, I know it's great I have windows7 hp, but why can't they make their own OS like apple, plus battery life is about the same as my 200$ netbook. That won't encourage me to get this

  • Great job! Can you post a how-to tutorial on how to do this ? this will determine if I will by a joojoo or an iPad

  • @kylerocks122333 tuto is on thejoojooforum com

  • @kylerocks122333 same for me

  • @kylerocks122333 joooooooooooooooooooooooooojooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • yeah, beats ipad in multitasking, games , entertainment , compatibility , size , customizability and openess

  • I want it!

  • just make another fucking OS

  • looks better than that over sized ipod touch that apple calls the "ipad"

They could have thought of a better name for this thing."joojoo", seriously?

  • @yoyo4real21 I agree, where they get that name anyway, from their dog or something?

  • @yoyo4real21 Yeah I think it's definitely amazing product but the name, I have no idea how to pronounce it plus it means yesyes in my language, just a weird choice but I guess it's not much worse than iPad

  • this is actually faster than my desktop and my desktop cost $1000+ SGD!So its not bad provided you can use this on bed when you are on the verge of sleeping,i would like to read manga and watch anime before sleeping!~

  • jewjew is rubbish

  • @Brushles83 nazi

  • Touch support really doesn't seem that great, I saw a lot of parts where you were tapping on something and the OS did not respond...

  • saw this one on engadget =P

effin amazing job! whats the battery life?

  • I wish I could do this to my iPad. Good Job man!

  • better than iPad. Do u really need apps when you ve got win7?

  • @iluvuillkillu

nope. Apps are a gimmick/scheme by Apple to dumb the average user down.

Its so easy to install them and no thought goes into that.

Windows 7 Tablet over Apple anyday.

  • @hustletv

I agree there is a need for a Windows 7 based tablet, but, no one has been able to do it right -- and this is the reason why HP cancelled the Slate project..Windows 7 is just not a good OS for a tablet computer at the moment.

Now, If a company were to spend a huge amt of time making windows 7 a "touch friendly" OS AND bundle their Tablet with decent and unique software out of the box, they may have a chance at competing with the iPad.

But if HP can't even do that, then who can?

  • @surgeyX #1 No official word on the status of Windows on their slate, so stop spreading rumors. #2 Windows 7 is touch friendly, what you're waiting for are the flood of apps that will take advantage of the touch API's built right into Windows. If companies like EXOPC can bring a cheap enough Windows Slate to market, perhaps we will see an increase in these touch friendly applications along with some better touch friendly themes.

  • @Walrondrm

No official word? It was supposed to come out in June..it's not here..it's cancelled!

Believe what you want, but it's done for.

Windows 7 is touch friendly? Ha! Not according to any and every gadget blog on the internet...This is the reason why HP Cancelled their slate...no one wants clunky windows on a tablet...but whatever, believe what you want like I said.

  • @surgeyX lol, hmm you think those tech blogs like rumors? lol, please unless HP says it's cancelled, it's NOT! I'm not interested in getting into a stupid argument about if Windows works on a slate, we will let time and common sense answer that question. Here is a direct quote from HP's CTO as reported by these gadget blogs when asked about the cancellation of the HP Slate, "Don't believe everything you see online".

    w w w[dot]savehpslate[dot]com

  • @surgeyX Win7 really is touch friendly, and don't go speaking until you've actually owned a tablet running windows 7.

I have an archos 9 with windows7 ultimate running on it, and its an absolute blast. My brother and I play age of empires 2 (ad hoc) all the time on our archos9's, and its wonderful, we also use it for email and web surfing, and have never run into any "unfriendly" occurrences regarding the OS and its touchscreen.

  • try using ubuntu netbook edtion

  • After seeing what the Joojoo released as it was disappointing that it was basically just web shortcuts. Seeing this is quite fantastic and might well make the device far better than it is out of the box. It reminds me of how the iPad could be awesome if it was given the dual-boot with Android that the iPhone has recently gotten. I'd be interested in seeing what does and doesn't work, I know 3G doesn't from what Engadget say.

  • Great job. Now make the DPI settings larger under display settings so it's more finger friendly.

  • @cool8man thank you that is better

  • pretty damn impressive

  • that's pretty responsive, I would also like to see it with Ubuntu I bet it would run pretty well

  • I say install Ubuntu! :D

  • no multitouch on windows 7?>

  • @intru3d

well he did just try that on the video? 1:53

  • AWESOME!

    Next up, Android?

Does it support win 7 multitouch yet?

  • i would buy a joojoo like this

  • Fantastic! A stripped vLite install of W7 w/ just the minimum services needed for light use is how the JooJoo should have shipped in the first place.

It has netbook components after all, and W7 netbooks are selling like hotcakes.

  • You've just made the JooJoo tablet 100x better. I don't know why these guys didn't do everything to get Windows 7 on this tablet in the first place.

  • @Walrondrm I agree its great that he got it on, but now I see that hp slate would have been a disaster because all the icons are so small.

  • @PSPGlover clearly you've never used Windows Touch. If you pinch to zoom on the desktop, guess what? the Icons get bigger. If you adjust you display settings, so text and buttons become larger (125% or 150%) without increasing your resolution then those things become more touch friendly. The only way the HP Slate will be a disaster is if HP releases it without Windows 7.
