Earth was made by the Philippines, where they have always made the semifinals and got First Runner-Up in one instance (again, 2007 has not happened). They won Asia-Pacific in 1982, 1983, 1989, 1993 and 2007 hasn't happened yet. I forgot to mention 2007 World hasn't happened wither and that these pageants consistently use Filipino hosts and I also forgot to looks up other Photogenic, Costume, Hair, Congeniality awards so go fuck yourself.

That's caz Asian countries have different culture than other countries so most contestants are rather reserved and dont show too much of their personality so they dont give good impression to the judges. Asian women are not taught to be flashy but humble and in a pagent, at least in miss universe, it is important for people to flash all they've got in seconds.

the contestants of Miss Colombia are more beautiful than those of Miss USA and Miss Philippines. Yes, i noticed that Valerie was not suprised at all and showed no reaction. Even if a contestant was to be a favorite, she should at the minimum had some reaction but not Valerie. Maybe she benefited from her famous cousin , Shakira.

Everybody needs to shut up about Colombia's crowns. Yea the runner-ups crowns are crappy, but the Miss Colombia crown is made out of pure gold and the finest colombian emeralds. One of the most beautiful in the world better than that fake crystal crap.

mizthangdotcom, the reason for the 3 ladies getting crowned is cause they each are gonna be representing Philippines in the different beauty pagents. International being 3rd place, World as 2nd and ofcourse Universe is 1st. As far as I know the Miss International contest is based more on the European-Asian countries. World is with a bit more countries included like Africa and some South American countries.... and then there's Miss Universe which is for every country. Hope that helped!

I guess that whoever directs Miss Binibining Pilipinas chose guys with the best American English fluency and accents to host the show.. But yeah, realmereelu's pretty much right. The Philippines has been greatly influenced by the American culture ever since the end of World War II up until now, with Filipinos being the second largest immigrated Asian group in the United States. Lots of history in it. Today, English is actually the second official language of the nation. :]

Yeah, that Colombian 1st runner-up should have won. She's simply gorgeous, she would have made the top3 in the Miss Universe pageant. Miss Colombia was a semifinalist though. Clearly, there are plenty of beuties in that country!!!!

That's caz Asian countries have different culture than other countries so most contestants are rather reserved and dont show too much of their personality so they dont give good impression to the judges. Asian women are not taught to be flashy but humble and in a pagent, at least in miss universe, it is important for people to flash all they've got in seconds.
