The Killers are a good way to kill some time. There are worse things to do needless to say. The songs are sort of multi-layered. They often contain riddles and mysteries. Sometimes the stuff is inside baseball LDS stuff... mostly it would go over peoples heads what he is referring to. I wonder if his Non-Mormon band-mates get upset about his Mormon lyrics hooks? He obscures it so well, I guess no body notices or cares, including the other musicians. Do the Norwegians care? Doubt it. Do you?

because their NEW album Day and Age is great, and when you say, "Oh not as good as Hot Fuss" I really don't think thats being a true fan at all. All their albums are fantastic, and saying that the killers' new stuff isnt that good, it makes me wonder if you actually listen. Mr. Brightside is NOT their only song. For the love of God! Get over the Hot Fuss era, this is now the DAY AND AGE era. I also think its about time you guys start focusing on their new album rather than their previous ones.

well okay i understand what you mean and yes day and age is like hot fuss and sam's town in one but 10 times better. but what i said was that all good bands change their style and the killers are BEYOND good. it just gets me mad when people expect the album to sound exactly like hot fuss or sam's town. it's supposed to be different in sound and style whether it's a continuation or not. for example sam's town may have been a continuation of sam's town but it sounded different.

I absolutely love Spaceman, especially the lyrics. I'm happy that The Killers really is the first band that, until now, hasn't gone mainstream just for the sake of the success itself. Most of the bands tend to create a different first album and then go immediately to mainstream, as they get bigger. They are simply The Killers and themselves and I absolutely agree with Brandon: the world is definitely a better place with Killers on it.

Honestly, Hot Fuss and Sam's Town sound nothing alike.. so I'm not sure how they can go back to them both. I am a huge Killers fan but I absolutely hated Sam's Town. Hot Fuss was the shit and I think this new stuff sounds much more like it than Sam's Town did. PLUS... he didn't have his mustache when I first started listening to them.. not until Sam's Town..ish. haha.

The Killers haven't got progressively worse, they've diversified their music. It is typical of many "indie" bands these days to stick to the same formula, admittedly that pleases the ignorant fan but most of them fail to realise it's one big similar sounding noise. Although I didn't like every song on Sam's Town, I absolutely adored some and I'd rather the Killers moved in new directions than stuck down a similar no-surprise path for three albums. Great song ditto for spaceman.

I think they are too good for their own good. If any of their songs are sub par they are criticized heavily. Their first album had almost no bad songs. Second has one or two and everyone says it sucks. Listen to spaceman and tell me if they suck? That song is awsome.

Well we know that the chances of it being called Day and Age are high. It will be their 3rd album after Sawdust which is a compilation album. It was a collection of B-sides, not a new studio album. And so far, I like both Spaceman and Neon Tiger. Can't wait for November.
