This is exactly how it should be sung. She does this brilliantly. It has tht mature, yet mothering quailty the way she is interacting with sarah. Her voice quality is reallly nice as well, not forced, but no bum notes. I love this, and Im playing Sarah, and our Arvida is not near this standard! xxxxx Welll done!! xxxxxx

This is a part that vocally easy to convert to a female voice. This is often done is the unfortunate but common case that the cast is short of men. I am in a community theater production that has also had to cast women as some of the Guys. It isn't a big deal.

We have simply changed Arvide's name to Arvida. It is a challenging part, but very fun to play!

OMG...she sounds exactly like i pictured arvide to be! I play arvide as well...and im only 13...so its so hard to sound old..GREAT JOB MAN! I think most arvides in school plays are girls...i mean...I'M a girl. This song wouldn't sound so nice with a guy singing it

its supposed to be a guy, its just that most high schools don't have enough guys doing theatre to properly cast the role

OMG!! i wanna be arvide!!! i was mrs dubose in to kill a mockingbird who is like, 99 years old, now, i had callbacks yesterday, I went on stage once, and spoke for Arvide.

she did great I played Arvide and I had a hard time getting through the song at rehersals it made me cry a little very touching song I told the girl I sang it to to smile at me it helped me through the song
