  • Why somebody nice and talented died young by bad doctors , John Ritter, Michael Jackson etc . ? . Not all the doctors are good. I really love John, the best actor of Three's Company. And his wife is so brave and beautiful.

  • @xuanlane MJ nice? u dont know that.

  • An aortic dissection is caused by a rare genetic disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Please ,Please Drs. please learn about it. I have this and no Dr. will believe me because it is NOT taught in medical school. It is a severely Painful condition and death comes abruptly. Perhaps she can use the money to spread awareness and give credibility to those of us who are nobodies. God Bless John! He was one of your best works Lord!

  • I feel sad for her loss, but why did she have to sue a lot of people for a lot of money?I probably couldn't sit and court and do that...Money can't fix the death.I still feel for her she lost the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

  • Why do bad stuff always seem to happen on September 11th? RIP John, your legacy will live on forever, you were taken from the world much too soon.

  • yeah, i kind of know about this condition. my my wife of 41 years complained of a pain in her back. three days later she was gone. she had what they told me, was a condition called an aortic disection. i learned that john ritter had the same thing, very rare. so shocking, so sad!! that was three years ago, you never really get over anything like that.

  • I wish Could John Ritter could of been back.

    He really touched peoples life.

He touched my life I liked him since I was 4 years old until I was 20 years old and I'm sadden life has ended.

The Day he died it made cry when I was getting ready for school.

I made a card to his family to John Ritter acortic desection foundation.

    Heidi

  • He was my Idol I always wanted to be like John Ritter miss him lots love the DvDs godbless his family and widow.

  • You gotta hand it to Amy,she's loyal to her man & how many women are that loyal in this day & age?

  • 8 years ago today. We still love John! We also miss him dearly... May he rest in peace -3

  • Sorry but nine million is rediculous. And his condition is probably so rare that is why they didn't get to it immediatly. Wow he's been gone since 2003? Where did the time go?

  • I still cry because of his death. He is missed. I cried watching this. RIP John.

  • for a widow she is talkative

  • @syidlive What??? This interview took place long after John died. He died in 2003. I dont know when this interview took place..but the video was uploaded in 2008. How long do you expect her to be "in mourning"? Geeeesh...the nerve of some people....

  • i only realised he died like 2 years ago RIP John

  • It is disappointing to see that such an amazing actor and person had a wife that turns out to be only out for money. Like doctors don't do their very best. Pfft. I'd love to see her go through med school. Only in America.

  • and reading on wikipedia doesn't make you an expert. so its unfortunate. and taking money from a doctor won't help. you're just crippling his ability to help other pple. and yah there's a thing called differential diagnosis. aortic dissection has a characteristic type of pain. and there's a difference in BP between both arms. but the first thng in anyone with chest pain...MI. so you get EKG.

  • yeaahhh....okay. aortic dissection could be a life threatening emergency. you won't know until the Sx comes. ascending dissection is a surgical emergency and descending dissection should recieve a beta blocker. but really if the aorta bursts you don't have time. and drs take oath to protect pts and trust me we do our best to protect our pts. pts who are drug abusers, alcoholics, etc regardless of who we treat. its always what is best for pts. normal population pple read up don't understand

  • John Ritter was a respectable loved by all person. He's the best.

  • She said falling ill not that he died on set

  • Your husband will be missed by so many people of all ages. I still watch reruns of Threes Company today. There hasnt been a charactor like "Jack Tripper" on a sitcom since Threes Company. Even the late great Lucille Ball loved John and his charactor on Threes Company. The only other actor I can compare him with is Dick Van Dyke from the 70's "The Dick Van Dyke Show." All to just make us laugh. You will be missed more than you ever dreamed. THANK YOU JOHN. Rest In Peace :(

  • @darlene331 I realize that you wrote this a month ago - but same here! This whole weekend I watched season 2 of Three's Company with my family. They really don't make fantastic shows like this anymore. John Ritter made the show wonderful. RIP and thanks for the great laughs

  • he did not die on set he died at home stupid woman

  • @TheMarck28 he died in a hospital...see wikipedea

  • No, really, medically speaking....which she claims to have had a lot of time to research, she is really stupid. It's like listening to a stereotypical blonde about aortic dissection. CLUELESS. "Duh, I don't know what its called"....however I am going to open my mouth about it. I loved John Ritter and that is why i am watching this but she is not a good spokesperson for his condition! You would think if she were going to go on an interview and speak of this condition she would educate herself

  • @melly918 Whatever but you're not a widow!

  • @leopoldvs and how do you know that I am not?????? Maybe I am. I am not undermining her grief or pain, I am just saying that if that were my loved one...and this statement comes from experience I would definately arm myself with more information. I would be pissed and ready for a battle. The "Whatever, but you are not a widow" statement is just an assumption.

  • Hundreds of people suffer from, or die of Aortic dissection/rupture all over the world. When it's a celebrity, everyone knows. Truth of the matter is, it is an acute emergency, with a very small therapeutic window. A person can rupture his aorta, and die within half an hour. When someone comes into the hospital with chest pain, doctors rule out the most common and life threatening issues first, and this is way down in the list. No one is to blame, unless there has been a gross negligence.

  • Your aorta can stretch to 5 centimeters and still not rupture. But sadly you will not feel it until it bursts or disects. So if your mother or father have high blood pressure, You must get yours checked. John was a very emotional comedian, who prat falls and loud voices and stress related comedy, so that most likely contributed to his aortic pressure. He would fall on his back alot during threes company, sharp impacts are not good. But again you dont feel what is happening in your chest.

  • John could have been saved, But the doctor must have screwed up badly. Male whites over 40 with severe chest pain? Any doctor knows to check the aorta. It is a simple procedure. The same machine as they use on a pregnant woman to see thru into her belly. If you have high blood pressure, get it lowered at once!! If you have high cholestrol, get it lowered at once!! They are the best pills you can take. But you must also adjust your life style if you drink alot of booze or fatty foods.

  • I'm very sad John Ritter died, but I think his wife is a money grubber.

  • I HATE drs I am far from healthy and I worry about my life-they just want ppl to die-RIP John I LOVE U

  • john was a ledgend, and always will be too me.

  • i totally love john and i miss him beyond ... there was one threes company episode where he took some sedatives before a plane ride it has to be one of the top 5 funniest television episodes i have ever EVER EVERRRR seen my whole life ... he IS loved and missed ... thank you john for giving yourself to us

  • they did say that his condition wasn't even detectable untill shortly before his death so then again it might not have been... you never know if john ritter could have been saved and i do agree that she is amazingly strong to deal with not only the normal for a death but TONS of media that followed. i cried myself to sleep the whole week following the news of his death.. i honestly wanted to meet him just so i could shake his hand and tell him how he helped me through my childhood w/ laughter.

  • john ritter wasn't very old, his father died of a similar condition and you know, it could have been prevented. if you are a male in your early 50's and your dad died in his early 70's of diabetes that he was diagnosed with in his late 50's.. you would get tested REGULARLY i mean in one article there was a quote from amy saying that he had worried after his father's death, about his health and that was underlying the fact that he could have prevented it early on...

  • He was my favorite comedian for years and years.

  • It's wierd Johnny Cash and John Ritter died the same day

  • @sluggo06 johnny cash died the next day i think

  • @kimannam oh ok, but still its a shame that so many of the enterainers of yesterday are getting old and dying.

  • If Amy and ritter's family had won the legal battle, how much compensation money would have she earned?

  • america is ruining the medical proffession with all the law suits they keep inventing.now the world is full of ambulance chasing scum;

  • Love Mr Ritter. Miss him. What could have been.....

But so glad to have the memories he was able to leave us.

  • i love John and Amy.They made a gr8 couple.

  • It's amazing...I was watching "Stay Tuned" and was reminded that John Ritter isn't around. Man I was a kid watching "Three's Company" and "Stay Tuned." I loved watching John being a silly and brilliant actor. Well, thanks for the memories John

    :-)

  • I remember when he died, that heart problems ran in his family and can't believe that he wasn't on the radar ahead of time, but I guess that is reality.

  • thats all they think about the americans monney monney

  • i miss him.

  • I was born in '88, but i've been watching "Three's Company" since I was about 6 or 7 & I still love it today (along with "Problem Child" 1 & 2).

John MADE that show so funny & great.

  • :'(

    He will alwaaaays be missed.

  • Shame of those doctors for not finding the problem in his heart sooner cause he would still be alive R.I.P John

  • That is such a fuckin' shame.

  • that was a really sad episode his last one i actualy shedded a tear

  • He was the greatest, everytime I watch Three's Company it makes me a little bit sad but I still love it. He seemed like the kind of person that just made everyone around him happy.

  • I was about 13 when he died. I remember watching his final episode of 8 Simple Rules and I was balling my eyes out. I still cry really hard whenever I watch it. I recently got into Three's Company and even though it's still hilarious to this day (mainly because of John) it sometimes makes me sad when I remember that he's gone.

It's so weird that people so affected by the loss of someone they never even met. That just shows how great he was and how much people loved him.

    RIP John Ritter <3 !

  • It is a shame he was a really funny guy. Watched 3's company all the time. He seemed like a decent, nice person. We did lose a real talent.

  • I actually spoke to a surgeon who said this condition is very hard to diagnose so i suppose the medics are not totally at fault here and first and foremost they threat for heartattack, unfortunately if you have tear in your aorta this treatment will kill you... cause it encourages the bleeding...

  • I support his wife for trying to get some kind of justice for her loss, jesus a heart specialist did not recognise a tear in an aorta, the largest most important artery in the body, what a fu k up... reminds me of Michael Jackson.... what the hell is wrong with the medical system...

  • Its Funny Yu Mentioning MJ Its The Workings Of The Illuminati [Secret Society] ..... And That Handsign Is A 'Peace' Sign ....... Without The Thumb Is The 'Devils' Sign ...... !

  • here in mexico is totally worse :S

  • Riposa in Pace caro John

  • Three's company and I Love Lucy were my mother's two favorite shows, and I grew up with them both. John Ritter was an amazing man. So funny & talented.

  • That sucks Amy and her family should have gotten the money for that!!!

    They were so good together!!

    RIP John!

  • Wow those jurors are idiots. "My kids don't watch Three's Company" What the hell? Idiots.

  • Play it again and listen - "My kids STILL watch Three's Company" is what was said.

  • u khow it

  • You should really check out Three's Company. Especially, the first 2 seasons. And, perhaps the 4th. Really good & funny stuff.

  • "Check me for that John Ritter thing." Brilliant awareness!

  • I love Amy and John a lot but her comment about him having that "I ruined Stella's birthday face" rubs me the wrong way.

  • Looks to me like her expression was "John, there are more important thing going on now than a birthday". More like she was in disbelief that John was thinking that. In actuality, it is pretty incredible. J. R. was a really one of the good guys.

  • I See Where Yur Comin From But I Fink That Cz She Knows John Inside Out Prob She Knew Or Suspected That Thats What He Was Sayin to Her .. U CAN Tell Alot From Someones Expression Or Body-Language

  • Thank you for posting this. I missed this interview on TV.

  • John was amazen man and His wife is amzine women my heart goes out to his and his family

  • My Uncle died the same way John Ritter did in 2003. My uncle went to Kaiser complaining of chest pains, and they just sent him home. My Grandfather died of the same thing also. He had an aortic anurysm.

  • Im sorry for your loss

  • Amy, you're such an amazing woman.

  • I wish the lawsuit could have brought John back. My family doesn't care about celebrity deaths but when John died, my own father turned off the television and sat me down to tell me he died. I miss John so much and I hope up in heaven he knows how important he was to people and families.

  • my doctor died of aortic dissection this past april...amy yasbeck is doing a wonderful thing by raising awareness...john ritter was a wonderful comedic actor and is sorely missed.

  • I miss you so much John Ritter. THANK YOU John for all the laughter you have given me and the world! You NEVER let being a celebrity go to your head. You were a kind caring man. I hope you are with your Dad Tex Ritter on the other side!

Amy is right some of these doctors do NOT give the right tests if they had given him that X-Ray he would STILL be alive!

  • so sad....
