This game sux as hell. It took you 4 minute to kill a single player? OMG. This is stupid.

Mortal online will come out soon and it will kill DF for sure. In the beta video, in the 1 on 1, the guy we followed died in 5 hits and tahts it. This is realist and well fast paced and fun. DF pvp look boring.

yeah i think mortal online will have it's appeal. it definitely looks good, but i'm not getting my hopes up foor anything that looks that nice anymore. conan was a flop and mortal online is gonna have a hell of a time getting a stable client that supports the sheer numbers that darkfall does.

In regards to the whole "5 hits=dead" thing.. how would that ever be balanced with ranged attacks? Ranged would either have to do half the damage (which doesnt make sense) or magic & arrows would have to have some way to be completly mitigated.

otherwise they will just own melee all the time. In DF your damage increases as your skill does (at intervals) plus there are masteries that increase damage. attacks can also be almost fully blocked, so at many points in this fight (although hard to see) many of the attacks were blocked. it takes skill to do that.This was a duel between 2 fairly skilled pvp'ers and it reflects the types of dynamics that can be put into a combat situation in darkfall.

In darkfall u can kill naked people in 5-4 hits whith high mage or archery or maybe even melee,, on armored people it takes like double hits but these guys where on pots like crazy and that guy kept running and healing for hp

it's beta dude if u ever saw any DF beta videos made by AV they killed each other in 3 hits it's just advertising and these guys are pretty noob to be honest go watch some Afghanistan alliance pvp videos we own the server
