Pedro Romero is played by Robert Evans. Other actors wanted him out of the cast but studio chief Darryl F. Zanuck said: Kid stays in the picture. Later Evans became Paramount producer and famous for his 7 marriages( Ali McGraw one of them). Interesting figure, whose character in film 'Wag the dog' is played by Dustin Hoffman.

@rickyblount2007 The name, "The Sun Also Rises" is taken from the Biblical passage that is used in the opening of the book, Ephesians 1.

@rickyblount2007--Or if "The Sun Also Rises" is the answer, what is the question? Maybe 'besides sex, what is the meaning of life?'. A lot of people have mistaken the novel to fall on a minor chord. I tend to think those are the people who are more like Cohn and Brett than they would care to imagine. The novel is a kind of treatise of Naturalism. The answer to "what is there besides sex?" is in the way the sunlight rises on the mountain passes of Navarre.

This book sucks, a lot of dialogues but nothing of backgroun, nothng relevant to the story. It should have been a movie since the beginning.
