1jennym, only the head of that cake was made with styrofoam, the rest of the cake was perfectly edible. As are all of these, but fondant is so hard to work with, for me anyway; these must have taken quite a while to make.

1jennym: thats cake for the dog by the way. The head was styro. There are plastic stakes through the cake so it stays rigid. They use icing as "mortar" and then layers of cake. Watch it again before you spout things that are untrue. But i'm sure i'm writting to someone who doesnt know what mortar is in the first place.

Actually it IS cake. The frosting is fondant, which is sculpting/decoration frosting and doesn't taste all that good. These cakes ARE edible and are not dried dough.
