  • Seriously, whoever's idea it was to have Hank keep his hair like that needs to be institutionalized.

  • You know, watching this, if I were a new viewer, I would have no idea that Kevin and Rachel had once been deeply in love. I wonder if these actors even knew that...or the show's writers at this time.

  • @CarlD2 One of the head writers at the time was Jean Passanante, so probably not.

  • Wow Hank Hank Hank! -speechless-

  • Sandra P. Grant was a good Rachel. Of all the Rachels, the only one I didn't really like was Mari Marrow. She was a bit annoying.

  • @ThorneAstor You're being generous to MM. But then the writing was horrendous, as it was for Sandra, who did try.

I can never believe this was the same character Ellen Bethea played.

  • @CarlD2 I know. So sad what they did to Rachel. Did Ellen leave because she knew they were going to do this to Rachel??

  • @mar88ia I don't know. They barely used Rachel in Ellen's last year on the show, so that may have been a factor. Or she just wanted to move on. Either way, I'm glad she never played this story. I don't like the idea of Rachel being weak and being crippled by her parents. To me it's lazy writing. Those last scenes - they're very well-acted, but the writing is so cliched. I always felt like the Gannons+NoraBo should have had the great stuff they had in 92-93.

  • @CarlD2 I agree but I thought they did incorporate it quite nicely into those scenes a few years later when Ellen Bethea briefly returned and later on when Rachel was recast with Daphnee Duplaix.
