  • that was soooo cool!!!!

  • this is so good!

  • You should definitely do a cover of Tom Dooley. It would be stellar.

  • holy Crap i can see your other Eye .....thought you only had one there for a lil bit ;p BTW i love your music

  • i'm in love <3 !

  • Great job, tnx from Italy

  • All the awards!

  • She doesn't play instruments. She plays with them instead.

  • There needs to be women like this in Florida.

  • @OpieTheRipper Also In Manitoba Canada!!!

  • Outstanding, Great Job!!!

  • Hello i'm in GREAT NEED of this song, and i love your rendition of it seeing as it is public domain and this is your song i was wondering if i could get your permission to use this song in a video im making?

  • I normally like your songs, but this one doesn't hold a candle to the Ralph Stanley version. Though thats probably because he is so old the song has so much more impact.

  • dear jesus...otherworldly and strangely moving. Good job on the song, Im just not sure what feelings this evokes.Youre a cool chick.

  • Interesting use of the instruments at the beginning, especially the plucking of the guitar strings.

  • you are amazing

  • I wondered where this was going, and then the slide and drum came in... Epic WIN. All the way.

  • one of a kind

  • I've watched this video 3 times in a row. It's stuck now. If I get caught singing at work again, I'm blaming you. --note-- my singing voice is NOWHERE NEAR as good as,,well,,,anybody

  • That was awesome.

  • damn...this is...amazing!

  • One hundred and forty six people are tone deaf....

  • Absolutely my favourite version of this song. It's so deliciously creepy, nails down your spine stuff.

  • About two days still listening the same song

  • Chilling. stunningly beautiful cover.

  • Your feel and interpretation is so good. Your work with Nataly Dawn on Waits' 'Diamonds and Gold' is one of my favorites - the bowed banjo is haunting. This interpretation of Oh Death is superb!

  • Wow! Very talented, amazing being able to play all these instruments and have a lovely voice on top of that. Would pay big bucks to see her in concert.

  • Awesome version! Good job!

  • You are amazing

  • What a beautiful version of this song. Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice and talent. A powerful rendition of this traditional song filled with so much atmosphere.

  • Just absolute genius. i LOVE this. So glad i found this.

  • And I thought I was amazing because I could play guitar...

  • GIRL you are talented! this is a very unique rendition. love it, love your voice, as another musician i am very impressed and i love everything about what you've done to make this song your own.

  • You are the most talented young woman I have ever had the privilege of opening my ears up to. I've never seen anyone play a banjo with a fiddle bow (White Noise). Impressive work, missus. Please never stop. It puts the biggest smile upon my face.

  • Que Bostaaaaa

  • Holy sh*t, you're pretty talented. Anywhere I can get the guitar tuning/chord progression?

  • I feel sad for the 142 people who thought this song was exclusive to Supernatural.

  • Ten kinds of awesome right here!

  • Well done. Creepy powerful.

  • She has a beautiful voice. I like the drums.

  • Awesome version!

  • Totally missed the point of the song... I don't care how many people don't like this comment, it's the truth. Good job, but the whole mystique of this song is the acapella vocals of Ralph Stanley. I'm not saying you did a bad job at all, just that I don't like the instruments being involved.

  • I always though about using a batton on an electric guitar. Did you do the video edit yourself too? Its really good

  • O Death, good song great singer

  • The more I listen to this song about Death the more I begin to understand Life.

  • This is amazing! Congratulations ;D

  • Awesomely talented sisters!

  • You're a beautiful soul. Thank you. -tips hat-

  • 1 woman band....... she plays every instrument and sings..... AMAZING!

  • @ Swash: yeah, agree. She's acquitted herself quite nicely here. Good job.

  • @515742617000027 Subjective.

  • Awesome! This chick has it all.

  • innovative version, Beautiful.

  • Excellent!

  • I'm not very fond of this rendition. I don't think your voice fits the song. I think it's a very good effort though. Maybe I feel it's not your style? But I really like your other videos.

  • Brilliant

  • Playing guitar like a violin? I had no idea that would work but it sounds so amazing!! This whole this is amazing..it's the best version I've ever heard!

  • the only good thing in this video is her voice and all the rest SOCKS !!

  • Talk about talent! I love when people can do all their own instrumentals and vocals like this. :)

  • Disliked her voice, loved the instrumental version. And she doesn't say DEATH. Enunciate your "th" sound, girly.

  • Very talented. A one woman band.

  • never seen so much talent in my life

  • ahahaha i lol when I watched this video xD

  • Lovely interpretation of an excellent song. A much heavier bluesy version is; Lovechild - Death same lyrics their own tune,

You just have never lived it once.

I know The couplet doesn't rhyme

    You just weren't that sad

    until another time

  • this is beautiful, have you ever been to the Galax Fiddlers Convention?

  • I've seen Ralph Stanley do this live, and next to his haunting voice i would have to say you did a great job. Keep it up

  • just perfect!

  • I just thought you might like to know the song is not quite that old and there is an original artist who can be credited. Lloyd Chandler (1986-1978) under the title "Conversation with Death"

  • @Nihmy Maybe. He was the earliest that we know of to sing it. Like so many of the songs of this general age and genre, there are several different versions floating around, and we might know who wrote or found a particular version. However, like House of the Rising Sun and Scotch and Soda, we're not certain who wrote the original.

The Wichita Eagle: "No one has the foggiest idea who wrote (Oh, Death)" said Joe Wilson, director of the National Council for Traditional Arts in Washington, D.C"

  • "there is a war"~Leonard Cohen, if you aren't aware of this song now you are.

ps. why don't you tour your way out to eastern canada (I guarantee it'll be good time)

  • Wow... I am thoroughly amazed. This is absolutely stunning. So much feeling and insane talent. So stoked to have found your channel!

  • Sweet Dear Lord, I think I'm in love.
